If only that was how life works my friend. I’m a realist. I am not going to shine ✨ a turd 💩 and I have to keep level headed. I truthfully try to to think either positive or negative - the less I think the better. Then when things go good or south it will not matter as much. We can pat ourselves on the back for a good job but don’t need to throw a party 🎉 when good things happen. My life isn’t easy off camera 🎥 or on. I appreciate your suggestions though thank you for commenting

This is real life. I just printed my first emergency savings challenge. It’s 1k. It almost seems impossible but videos like yours inspire me! Even on my super low income I can do it too!!! Thanks for sharing.

I did start over once this year. I didn't post for a month on my channel because of life changes so I restarted in may but I got back in the saddle and hope that in the future when our car is paid off we can put a lot more away
Since DeJoy's post office changes, we purposefully select the city and also the individual post office we mail,from. We have 3npugh mandatory trips out of our immediate area we can chose without a complete extra trip. Incoming mail is a different thing.

this was the motivation i needed to nix one of my higher amount savings challenges. it was stressing me out and making me feel defeated because it’s meant to be finished in 2024, but tbh that’s just not happening lol. i just pulled the money out and put it in my travel envelope because being able to fly to see my dad this year is a bigger priority than making myself feel like shit over a savings challenge i saw other women flying through. i’ll get to that point soon enough, but i def need to adjust my priorities for the time being and that IS OKAYYY.

Hey it’s a small start! Christmas is expensive. We have jobs like that all over my area. 20 bucks a hour 15-25 hours a week doesn’t make much after our income taxes. Good ol Oregon bs

Yes! I have been doing little savings challenges like I see in these youtube videos and yesterday, I needed money so I decided to get the finished ones out thinking I might have 200 or 300 bucks and I had $870! I was so excited

I ended up getting the 100 envelope challenge with low amounts like urs - thanks to ur video and the other envelope one - haven’t started that one yet. Trying to not overwhelm myself. Great stuffing today - everything adds up 😊

I love watching your videos, im facing a huge dilemma of trying to continue working outside my house or trying to find a work at home job. I have lupus and liver problems and it absolutely kills me some days. I am the person who has to bring in the majority of the income due to my husbands disability and we are still waiting on SS benefits to kick in. I love how real you keep it on your channel.
Honesty is the best policy and if I can’t be real with myself why do it at all? Life is hard enough. I’m sorry you are stuck in that dilemma. There are so many people looking for better jobs and doing the job hop. At home would be my preference

I support the cash stuffing of low income however I can’t wrap my head around pulling money that you never had to begin with..just to put back?
I tried it it didn’t work well.. so now I just keep the money in my acct and I include a small amount for savings….i am not a 0 based budgeter….
Cash emergency funds work well when there is banking troubles. People have been locked out of their money on some of these failing banks. If I use cash for gas I don't have to care if some jerk put a skimmer on the gas pump keypad. Lots of reasons I love cash!
Not particularly cash budgeters but we have gone through some lean and also some very lean times. I do remember a candle light Valentines dinner with a $1 McDonald's burger each; and that burger was an earing out treat. I do remember a period of bare bones budgeting and each time we thought we were bare bones, we had to get a little leaner yet. So yes, I understand reassessing, re directing, re prioritizing, and rebudgeting.
I’ve seen some budgeting community creators having to slim way down and they barely make the cut. It sucks but life goes on waves. 🌊 I always say two years from now your life will change drastically
@@AmandasBudgetsWe did a major reset in June '22 else we probably would have gone under. We are probably in better fiscal shape than we were 2 years ago despite having less disposable income than say Jan '22; and of course, income doesn't have as much buying power as it did 2 years ago.
I've already restarted challenges 2 or 3 times now. Priorities change all the time! ❤

I get it. Im a single mom with a child that has special needs who I have to home school due to panic attacks she was having in school (bullies suck). So between her little bit of SSD and child support and whatever gig work I can get, times are tough. You aren't alone. Like life, sometimes money needs adjustments too lol
My heart goes out to you friend! Off the amount of jobs I have had to stop and start because my sons behavior was off the chain and no one got it - I would be rich! Or the times I have drive fast to get him from a new sitter. Even at 13 now he can’t be home alone 😬 he would be scared and so confused.
@@AmandasBudgets She was in diapers until she was about 7. (She's 16 now) and if she had accidents, they made me come up and clean her off and redress her. I tried working full time but every job I got, I would get fired from because I would have to leave to take care of her and I would do it again in an instant. She has the kindest soul. She is an empath. What she lacks in social skills, she makes up for in her ability to make people smile.

i nam a low income and i had to switch up things because i have to pay $500 a month for a year for my daughters trip to Japan , i came to see i have way to many challenges going on so i am going to do the most important ones and add no more until some are finished i talked about it on my channel today about what has been going on

Right???? I am no longer sending in my county I’m going to the. If city once a week anyway I am done done. I was in a pinch to get stuff out because I had a bunch of orders and now I refunded 3! Totally sucked and I called to make a formal complaint yesterday

You are playing it SMART by focusing on your Emergency Savings first! I focused 1st on mine, along with monthly bills and was finally able to get a head! After 5 years, I have gotten mine to to a little over $5,000.00. I put it into a savings account and now drawing interest. It's harder to get to but if needed I can do it within a couple of days. Now, I'm working on getting a month ahead but have a couple of small challenges and finally was able to add another $100 to savings... I'm on disability so don't receive much but every penny counts, which, I have a change jar that counts my change and I'm up to almost $40.00 there so I can always cash that in.... Keep your head up and just do you!!!!

They also don’t know that if they gain X amount of interest it then becomes income and they will be taxed for it like it’s a job at the end of the year. You do you boo I can agree on that
