More H-34 helicopter: Here's some of our recent Oshkosh AirVenture 2022 coverage, including a noisy start-up and takeoff by a Marine H-34, plus a civilian MiG-29; more: ua-cam.com/video/OAp7V509EQ0/v-deo.html
Great helicopters, the H-34s look like tadpoles. The destroyer at the 6:30 mark is the USS Joseph P Kennedy, Jr, She is a museum ship in Fall River, MA. The LSD at 6:45 is the USS Fort Snelling. The ship at 7:15 is probably the attack transport USS Algol. There is also a very brief glimpse of an unmodified Essex class carrier, which were used as helicopter carriers. The Marines are very impressive and YOUNG! As a kid I had a model of USS Guadalcanal, a sister of Okinawa. Great combination of aircraft and ships. Please keep them coming, Thanks for the post.
That guy directing the landing at 1:45 was lucky he did not end up in the drink. He was so close to the edge. lol Those Marines with the M-14s and M-79s Those were the weapons I used back in the day in the Army. Thanks Fred.
Great video of the H34. I built a couple of models of it as a kid. Neat helicopter! As always God bless you and yours Mr Johnsen and thanks again for all you do! God bless the USA!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

You are always welcome. Yes -- it was interesting to see the inspection of M-14s and M-79s. So how did you like the M-14? Good, bad, or indifferent?
@@airailimages The M-14 was a very powerful weapon. But was not very good in the jungles of Vietnam.

I had a couple flights in Army H-34s a million years ago; yes, neat helicopter.
Nice big Mojaves there too

Back when NCO's could be pilots.
The Heavy lifter of all was the H-34 and could transport artillery to where ever the DZ was and my pass uncle flew the Huey UH-1 medivac
I believe the Marines at end of clip was my company, G company 2nd Bat 2nd Marines. Is there more footage or names of Marines in clip?
The captioning material doesn't have that. This is all we have found so far. Thank you for watching, and for serving.
