Hi, thanks a bunch for this awesome video. With the help of this video (and another German video) I was able to upgrade my T530 Samsung 4 from 2014 to Andrioid 11. Only issue I had was, that I used the wrong Gapp version (I tried the 64 version). After switching to the (non 64) other version, it just works perfectly! All the best for folks like you, that spend time on making this possible.

My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.
After trying for hours and hours, I found your video. And viola! It works! Thank you so much! BTW, what I was doing wrong, was that I had a too old version of TWRP

Thank you, I've successfully flashed to Android 11. The computer wasn't detecting the tablet's internal SD card because I was using an old version of TWRP. I managed to move the zip file to the tablet and flash.

if says sim card missing on lineage startup ,just turn tablet upright portrait view and then u can press skip. Silly but i reinstalled twice then figured it out ,what a dope hahaha! thanks for video awesome!

I was just about to throw away this wonderful tablet I have had for nearly 10 years, barely usable because it was stuck at Android 5.02 I could not use the latest apps because of the outdated Android OS. I did get a SIM card error on start/setup, but was able to bypass it. SD card was recognized and it WORKS great too! I will be testing in the coming days and this has given new life to this old tablet that I just could not throw away. Well done!

@@miguellago143 As Channel48 stated, just turn the tablet to portrait mode and you will see a "skip" button at the bottom. Tap it and you will continue with the setup worry-free.
After testing several apps, ALL GREAT! I can run the latest Android apps and I love my tablet once again, and will use it often. I stashed it for maybe two years out of frustration and was about to recycle it until I did one final search to install a new version of Android when I stumbled onto this video. Maybe when Android 12 is available, I can try it, but can always reinstall Android 11.

Hello, the entire installation went smoothly, but the virtual keyboard is not displayed on the Wi-Fi login screen and it is impossible to enter the password. If I skip this step, a sim card error appears and it is impossible to proceed. Are you able to help?

I followed your video in each step, however it seems that for me, the google services do not work.
I installed the lineage packet first, Then I install the Gapp file you provided. After that, I reboot, but the Google services don't appear :(

Ben hello the gapps is not working ? that is sad .. try this install lineageos reboot first to system then when up and running go back into recovery and flash gapps see if that works do a advanced wipe - select dalvik system cache data then wipe

I tried what you told me, with the version 11 and with the one you used in the video (9). The former did not give any error, however doesn't install the google resources. The latter gave Error 2. So far, it doesn't seem to work for me. I will keep trying and I will let you know if I can fix it. If you have any idea, it is very welcome.

I have this same issue, everything looks like it has installed properly in process but once booted I can’t find any Google apps(no play store etc)

My tablet does not have sim card and I had some difficulties with the versions you mention, but I finally succeeded using these specific ones: Odin3_v3.14.4, then twrp-3.5.2_9-0-matisse and finally installed lineage-18.1-20230214-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi. I flashed and was successful. Tab boots up and goes through the setup options and after setting up wifi i am getting sim card error. My tab is the t530 model
The whole process that you do in the video works out for me the first time but I still have problems with the gapps, I lowered the arm64 /pico and it gives me an error.
redo the process wipe clean format data reboot back recovery flash rom flash pico gapps reboot im not using gapps i use Aurorastore google it auroraoss get the 4.4 build works great besides playstore but as wel without it

@chanel48 I flashed recovery file twrp-3.6.0_9-0-matisse.tar form odin. Restarted to recovery mode but I have different menu. First boot menu is the same (odin) and the second (revovery mode manual) is different. Am I flashed wrong recovery file or could you give me link to proper recovery file pls.

@Channel48 I've SM T530 tablet but unable to get to PDA option. I was only able to download ODIN version 3.11.1 as I can't find anywhere version 3.1.1 stated in the description. Did anyone else managed to find a link for ODIN v3.1.1 with PDA option? If so, can you please share the link? Thanks in advance.

@@channel48 the sim is no big deal for me, I can do without it but I also discovered I can't add my Gmail account to Google Chrome so it can synchronize my data onto it. Though my Gmail itself and others work just fine, the Google chrome just refuses to accept my account or any other and synchronize.

Hi i followed your installation exactly however the play store does not show up for some reason. I have been looking everywhere to find solutions. I have tried many installs with multiple gapps nothing seams to work i can get lineage to work fine though.

I've got a SM-T530 running 5.0.2 stock rom and getting "there is a problem parsing the package." with some Apk installation files. I suspect that this is due to the software version I'm running. If I update it to android 11, will this solve the problem?

what are the pros and cons for this procedure? i have some IT knowledge but mostly for Desktop PCs which is why mobile-devices are a challenge for me.
i use the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 -> SM-T530 and try to speed it up a little bit but my storage is limited to 16GB (no SSD, if possible i don't wanna get an SSD) + my RAM is just 1.5GB (1.39 says the device) with around 500-800MB in idle
so i'm a little worried to get the performance but lose storage and RAM because of the uncountable extra features which i probably won't ever use which is why i would like some opinions or experience of rest my mind a little bit

Ok your question - well it wont become faster then it already is but being held down by allot of bloatware say Dust in clean air - so if you can filter that out .,, air will be more cleaner .,, you will breath easier and you need less energy to move forward - same with Android - upgrade to custom rom will give you nice and clean air and you will run instead of crawl - updated technics under the engine in other words - it will run better and more applications .. but certain parts that are Samsung propriary might not work they way they should like 3G and maybe Pen .. but most important will work wifi roch sound maybe gps - so gow much is that tablet still worthed to you? its on Androud 6 .. I will get this tablet tomorow - I trade against a old laptop so I will support this device again

the tablet isn't mine is just borrowed it for university.
if i can reduce ram idle usage to around 300mb and and systemstorage to around 2GB it would be enough to use for the most part of my studies
i don't wanna "upgrade" to android 10/11/12
for less free RAM and less free Storage as a tradeoff...
This is why i'm troubled with the upgrade
but if something like wifi maybe wouldn't work properly after i don't see much use of the tablet.
It would probably be better to search for a crappy laptop at this point..
(PC OS are far easier for me)
