  • This video follows Andrews unboxing of the Cross RC MC8. We get together and compare the differences between the MC8 and the MC6. This video goes into great detail and shows individual parts and we discuss how the trucks might differ in their performance. We are really excited about the addition of these trucks to our channel. There will be detailed build and progress videos. There will also be some awesome run videos once they have been built. We hope you enjoy the video. Stayed tuned.
Edit : this is the link to the drive shafts in the C kit : greensmodels.c...
Edit : Tarp kits appear not to come with hoops hence they're supplied in the kit.

Very useful video lads, thank you. The official web site does a really bad job explaining the differences and properly showing the trucks.

The difference between the B kit & C kit is way more than just axles! Drive shafts! The C kit comes with a lot more metal parts as well! It also comes with the full sound kit light kit with controller end it comes with the canvas box cover!

Absolutely Jack, it is a massive improvement over the B kit. For the hundred or so extra money it really is a no brainer. Get the A if you won't run it much, the C otherwise.

You will have to watch the end points on the steering as remember the Ural. When you fit the back I would fit one section of side and then your back then you have a small flat area at the back by the door will save a gap. I cannot see your flipping as both are longer and have lighter cabs. If the 6x6 did I would be surprised but the weight of the 4 axles over that length no. If you go white it would make it a UN truck.

Thanks Anthony, if you can find one of those command centres then they go together really easily.

Hi there! Good vids with the Trucks comparison, thank you! Quick question with MC8C ver. You mentioned on 30:41 that the Sound kit (module & speaker) comes in a box with truck unit. Here in States, the sound kit is an optional on MC8 'C' grade. Not sure if this standard, or what not. Thank you for your help!

Hi Walt, is it really? Well thats a result for us Brits then 😊. I haven't used it yet mind, as speaker means a great big hole in cab floor!

Have you guys sized up these Cross MC6 & MC8 cabs in comparison to HG P801, HG P802 & HG P803a ones ? Also with maybe some modifications, do you think the Cross MC series cabs could fit on the HG P801, P802 & P803a series trucks ??

Hey man, good question. Tel has the HG 802 cab somewhere, I'm sure. I'll prod him to give his input. A

@@antrc cool, I'm anxious to see what he has to say about it.

The HG cab is the same width roughly as the MC cabs but the HG cab is just under half the length. So the size difference is quite significant T

@@antrc I'm betting on if modified right, the Cross MC cab could be mounted on the HG one. Do you guys have comparison videos of them both side by side ?

    • @antrc

I don't have the HG truck, just the cab. I purchased it cheap to be cargo on a flat bed. I have no idea what the chassis of the HG is like. The fact that the MC cab is at least half as long again as the HG cab, it would very much depend on the HG chassis. You are unlikely to be able to fit the HG bed being the MC cab. The MC cab also mounts on a hinge at the front. The HG cab has a solid base and the MC one is different. It's probably doable but you would really need to see the chassis.
