Along with some other people here I wasn't able to get usb mode working. I got wlan mode using a router with an older security standard but USB mode gets stuck at waiting for data. Do you have any troubleshooting information that isnt just disabling plugins, I followed the video but was not able to get usb mode on the psp to work.

But if u weren't running any and still having that issue , then it might have to do with the drivers not having proper access on your PC . I did some research and it seems like the USB mode drivers isn't compatible with x86 windows ? 🤷🏻♂️ At least that's what everyone online says , but contrary to that , it worked on both my laptops and they're both running windows 11 that too 64bit version

Maybe, the Wi-Fi chip on the PSP is the limiting factor here . So theoretically, if you somehow manage to put a much more powerful wifi chip, even if it's 2.4 ghz, it should work. But in real life situations, it's might not be that easy, like plug and play a micro Usb adapter.

Yes , it's totally possible , but I'm not sure if it's going to be a good experience . Since the PSP only have 1 analogue stick . I usually play racing games , rpg like games and sometimes visual novels
You can . But you will need to get adjusted to the control configuration as it might feel wierd at first . Especially not because of having a second analogue stick for camera controls

Yep , decreasing the quality settings will increase the framerate . If you disable uncompressed or downgrade from highest quality to high or even medium can make a huge difference .

It works on both windows 10 and 11 . Did you try the same settings as I've shown in the video ? Also , you need to install the pspdisp application as an administrator

Yeah man , only if the PSP had a much more powerful wifi chip . Also it's interesting to note that , there used to be a PC application that allowed the PSP to stream music and download videos ( with realtime coversion to the PSP format) over the internet from anywhere in the world. Sadly I installed it on my PSP and PC, worked great. Then I uninstalled to make a video about it and it wouldn't work anymore 😂
If you had a laptop technically you could because you could use parsec to stream the pc running the games to the laptop and then stream the laptop to the psp

@@pspmav There is already a mod about getting a better wifi antenna Google: "Adding an External Wi-Fi Antenna to Your PSP" There are also replacement parts on Ali Express like a wifi card replacement. Not sure which standard this replacement has or if you need to do also tweaks in the software
considering that you have a custom firmware , make a new folder in the root of your memory stick and name it as SEPLUGINS . and after that create 3 text files inside that folder and name them as VSH , GAME and POPS . since it's a text file , it should have .txt as the extension

@@haru27050 Yep , you're right . The delay in WLAN mode increases as you move further away from the PC . Whereas in USB mode , you get consistent framerate , with very little to none input delay and about 20 or so fps in the highest quality settings .
@@haru27050 I am not able to get an exact value or measure it , but guessing using my eye , maybe about 30fps , but really , I'm not sure . It wasn't a bad experience and felt smoothly ( probably because there was no random dips in the fps )

Set Streaming to 5Mb/s for lower latency. It will look really fuzzy at times but then it's somewhat playable possible to get near 60 FPS

Same here. Via wifi works great, but not via USB. Also, fullscreen games will not be displayed.

Yes and no , you can't stream from a smartphone but you could use BlueStacks or any android emulator on your PC and then stream it to the PSP

I got it for cheap like 30 dollars and I can sell it for 70 and I can get a PSP for 50 here in my town. I'm confused, please help.

Only if you're using the USB mode .
WLAN mode dosent need the USB connection

The delay in WLAN mode increases as you move further away from the PC .
Whereas in USB mode , you get consistent framerate , with very little to none input delay and about 20 or so fps in the highest quality settings .

@@haru27050 I am not able to get an exact value or measure it , but guessing using my eye , maybe about 30fps , but really , I'm not sure .
It wasn't a bad experience and felt smoothly ( probably because there was no random dips in the fps )
