Thanks for this great video. I also learnt that underwire in bras interferes with your electromagnetic field of energy - in other words disrupts your flow of energy besides being uncomfortable

There is also some research into a possible link between underwire bras and breast cancer. I had two lumpectomies this summer, followed by radiation, and was told to only wear bralettes from now on. They are so darn comfortable. Due to the pandemic I ordered a few cheaper ones from Amazon- 3 for $25. They are great, but might not last forever, so thinking of upgrading.

@@Carolmaizy Yes, I also leaned this from a Yoga Teacher/Naturopath who specializes in treating women with breast cancer and she always tells us - no underwire bras. I still wear regular bra with little padding but def no underwire and I'm noticing they are more available to buy everywhere - but 3 for $25 deal sounds great - I'll check that out - I guess they would just have small/med/large sizes?

I subscribed and I’m with you. I HATE HATE HATE underwire bra’s. Told the hub that I was throwing them all away and bought a few little bralette’s at Wal-Mart three weeks ago. Should have gotten the next size up but they make me have a flatter uni-boob appearance so I’m gonna try the Chantelle. Thanks so much for letting us know! And I love your beautiful curly hair and the natural color. Rock it girlfriend! Mine is not as curly as yours unfortunately but it is whiter. Colored it the day I was forty and quit coloring it about four years ago when I was sixty. It was just too much trouble and it was expensive.

I will check out your recommendation. Thank you! I am enjoying your channel and have subscribed!

You look great today Renee! Bralettes are good for some, but not for all. The good ones have a band that does stay put which I like. I am small with a large bust, and the support in these is not there for me. I can wear them for going out or casual wear, but not for everyday busy day or working out....the lack of support is not good. I do have a few of the MadeWell tshirts and they are very well made. They wash well and do not lose their shape.

Love it. 😊 The best thing I ever done was buy bralettes, I get mines from M&S in Britain, they have a cross over bralette and its the comfiest bra ive ever had. Never fall out of it, it holds me in place all day and give the best lift and best of all, it feels like im wearing nothing. I have not worn a regular brah for over 3 years now I stopped wearing bras in general for about a year now . Due to an acident I can't wear anything that pushes on my shoulders (bras bags etc) I do wear a sport bra when I'm exercise since we Al know it hurts when the breast bumps up and down but as sooner as I'm done I have to take it off our ouch. Will look up this one since it does looks comfy and cross my fingers that it don't push on my shoulders

    • @WelcomeToMyCurls
      @WelcomeToMyCurls  4 роки тому

Actually.....I find that sports bras put more pressure on my shoulders. They are tighter and made to hold weight for when you are working out. This Chantelle bralette simply feels softer and more equally distributed (if that makes sense).

I was laughing so hard when you were going on about how you are never going to wear a traditional bra again and who invented underwire bra's anyway...I feel the same way. You get to a certain age and the girls are no longer perky as they used to be so it takes more support to get them from drooping which leads to feeling very uncomfortable with tight fitting bands to hold everything up in place. I think the bralette is a good compromise giving just enough support to look good.

  • @BobbyTheDogUSA

Me too. It's been 3 to 4 years that I have been wearing bralettes. After a long summer vacation wearing bathing suits and bralettes I just could not wear an underwire bra when I went back to work. My Mom had already switched; I found hers at Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Last year they were $13 for 2. They also have a band, plus removable pads and lace over the front that makes a v-neck top a little more modest for work. They come in 1x, 2x and 3x. I have a small back and would be a DD or DDD cup depending on the band size (I am not huge, it's just I have a small band size measurement). Finding regular bras is a problem for me, and I am an expert at bra fitting (don't add any inches to your band measurement except to round up, like 33 to 34, and every inch difference between bust and band is a cup size, but manufacturers don't always follow along, which makes bra shopping hell, and the stores don't sell small bands and larger cups).
Back to the bralettes that I have... The 1x and 2x sizes are good for me. When the bands stretch out I just sew up the sides of the band a bit. The band needs to be tight. If they ride up they are too big, just like a regular bra. I wear them all day and sleep in them too, plus I wear old ones under bathing suits that no longer give me the support I need.
The bralettes I found are wonderful for my needs. I'm glad you found ones that suit you. ~~Kitty

What I dislike about traditional underwire is, you would pay $35-$60 for it and the wire comes out and hurt, you try to sew it back into place which would last for a hot minute, then you trash it, I just went wireless a month ago and I LOVE IT. Oh, wire bras bruise you and leave marks under the breast.

Well.....I guess I haven't noticed any issues with sweat. I'm not wearing it when working out or walking my dogs. I wear it when I'm dressed just as I would with a traditional bra. I've had it on all day in fact running errands, tidying up my house to film a video, etc. It's been fine :)

Although I hate having to step into a bra, this one does look very comfortable. I HATE bras, even ones without underwires like I wear. I don't need a bra at all with my tiny boobs, but if I don't wear something, I get nipple burn. LOL! Wait, how are you an XS/S with C-D cup boobs?! I must be an XXXXXS.

I quit wearing underwire bras close to thirty years ago. I was having so much pain in my right side that I thought my gallbladder or liver was screwed up. Turns out the underwire was putting pressure on my rib and causing the pain. No underwire, no more pain. I have been known to snip the bra and remove the wire. It’s hard to find a good pretty wireless bra. I have some brallettes, but they don’t give great support. I have removed the padding in all the ones that had it because it made my boobs look square and not at all normal. Some of the earlier ones had no separation, so after a minute or two my boobs would squish together in front. My husband calls those my uniboob bras. I may have to give this a try to see if they work better. As much as I love the comfort of the bralette, I still wear a regular bra so my boobs aren’t around my waist when I go out in public.

@ Marguerite Peaden maybe you'd like the just my size by Hanes. No underwire with the front close bra & has cushion straps. They can be ordered online, too. Plus, Walmart has Just My Size by Hanes. I like the front close, easier to put on. They have back close ones, with no underwire, also.

I do want some lift. Unlike sports bras that squish everything together into one lump, this bralette does provide lift. It also eliminates the "uniboob" look that you get with a sports bra. When I wear the Chantelle bralette, I look like I'm wearing a traditional bra, but I'm not! I still get the lift and shape but with soooooo much more comfort.
