I started feeding the birds after my wife of 35 years passed away last year and before I knew it squirrels were coming to eat. Now I have two that come inside and rarely go outside except to use the bathroom, i have to make sure I have plenty out at night or they will help themselves, they really love the ac lol they don't bother anything in my house but they did chew on one of the window sills a little, but they really got me through a rough time and make me laugh again, i wake up every morning and they are under the covers in my bed lol when I walk down the driveway to the mailbox they go with me every time, they have never used the bathroom in the house except in the litter box i got for them and they love playing with my Chihuahua , they are really smart

I have a wild female squirrel I call Mama who comes to me when I call her. I'm in an electric wheelchair and if she see's or hears me coming, she meets me in my front yard where I feed her by hand. She loves walnut halves and takes them out of my and so gently. It's taken a year to gain her trust. I love her so much. To know that God created the both of us and we have a bond makes me feel loved..

Squirrels are like public pets
The most joy comes when the squirrel that fears you the most comes to you to take food. We all can't believe it even happened. Lilly is so adorable and sweet! Sadly, I will be moving to another place for 1 week so I will not be able to talk to you because there is no internet. Bye.

I too feed squirrels and there are several that will take food out of my hand, the others I just throw the food out on the lawn. I have to give you props because I personally, (a bit ashamed to admit) have trouble telling them apart. They are such beautiful little creatures, and they give me such joy watching them and their antics. Bless you for seeing their beauty.

Took me one month to get all the neighbors squirrels to come over to my front door and hand feed them they must be so used to being around people they trusted me very quickly now they wait every morning and beg! They sure love their walnuts!
Guess they see others take from your hand and follow suit. Wondering if you had a little bell you could ring to let them know it's nut time! They would learn slowly but it may work. Just a suggestion.
Those two young lady's, sure keep Bram on his toes !!! That last guy, is skittish, but is learning fast !!! Just love 😘 it ..
