    I have never seen this kind of hot process. I always make mine with a Crock-Pot. It is just the heat from the oil that cooks it?

    You did very well to carry on so long with Fibromalgia. Neurological auto-immune disorders are severely painful and complex in nature in how many systems of the body they impair on exhurtion of any kind. I could sense and relate to the level of pain you were trying so hard not to express while working. You do so well. You are not alone.

    You know, there is something hysterical about BJ teasing you for trying to set the house on fire while making the soap.... and the next day while cutting the soap you almost set it on fire...while live. :D

    Have you ever looked into zinc deficiency for eczema? I had a friend years ago who had it and he used 50 mg zinc daily and it worked wonders for him. I have heard it can also be low D3.

    Wow, I could see the steam coming off that hot soap. I love this method of soaping. It’s easy and fun. 😊

      Maple Flagg I really want to try this method! Do you add yogurt and milk to yours as well?

    • @HowToMakeSoapOnADime
      @HowToMakeSoapOnADime  6 років тому

      You don't have to add it but if you want the colors to swirl easily it makes the batter more fluid.

      HowToMakeSoap I’m definitely down for anything that will make my soaping experience easier. How much yogurt/milk do you add?

    • @HowToMakeSoapOnADime
      @HowToMakeSoapOnADime  6 років тому +1

      1 Tbsp. each for each pound of oil.

      At what stage would you add the yogurt?

    Will you be doing so more soap like this ?? And the soap is ready right away ? Thank you in advance

    • @HowToMakeSoapOnADime
      @HowToMakeSoapOnADime  6 років тому +2

      Yes, I've done several hot process videos. It's ready to use right away but best if you let it sit for 2 weeks to let some of the water evaporate.

    I would love to try this method of soaping... Does a specific recipe need to be used or could I use my normal cp recipe

    • @HowToMakeSoapOnADime
      @HowToMakeSoapOnADime  6 років тому +3

      Just use your regular recipe but make sure you use full 38% water.

  • @icecreamladydriver1606

    Do you need a special recipe to make this or does it have to be a particular recipe. I like my own and would like to try this using my recipe. Thanks.

    When would you add milk? Would you leave it liquid, use frozen cubes, or heat liquid up just until it is slightly warm? Just wasn’t sure if you would still melt milk w lye before adding to hot oils. I can’t wrap my head7 around needing it to be hot without scorching the milk. THANKS I know this is lots of questions7/information to ask.
    Thanks in advance!

      I warm up my milk and add it at the end after letting my soap cool to less than 180.

    Can we use a plastic container like your red one to cook it ? That's my only concern else I'll have to buy a steel vessel :)

    • @s97anne
      @s97anne 4 роки тому +1

      Not all plastics can handel NaOH (they melt), check this list out before you go buying a container. I stick to PP (Polypropylen) when I buy stuff for my soap making. Ikea has a lot of PP in their store. :-)

    Also I ordered some scents from commonscents and they are NOT GOOD in cp. It made it accelerate so much I couldn’t even stick blend it out. The scents do however work great in melt and pour, lotions, bathbombs, etc. I hear fragrances that act up in cp will work fine in any hp soap. Is this the truth! I like the smells and prices at commonscents and would love to find a way to use them in hp soaps.
