This young lady is very special, to be able to crush every song no matter what the musical style as a schoolgirl is phenomenal. Yes Lucy in my opinion really has the whole world at her feet. It couldn't happen to a nicer person.

"Flooded with talent" - that is a good quote by you - a good way to state it. You could really see and hear the special gifts and skills she had - even at a young age. I am no expert - but it seems clear that Lucy has always had a full understanding of her own voice and she can do literally anything with it. I truly believe she is the voice of this generation and her reign is just beginning. Thanks Grandpa - enjoyed!

A classic song written by Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol of the Album 'Final Straw' released in 2004!,first song i heard Lucy perform several years ago,since then i have been hooked,she is outstanding,just listen to her latest release 'Unchained Melody'!.

Grandpa Carl, In many of Lucy's renditions she starts the piece gently and each verse gets more powerful pulling us in. Then she collects all that power and brings us back down to earth with a few lighter tones to lets us down gently. She's amazing. Also, at this young age her vibrato is out of this world. She can hold a long note add vibrato and the center of the undulation is rock solid and right on key. One of the other reactors call her vibrato "Master Class".

Having been watching Lucy since she was the age in this video, I have learned that her treating the beginning of a song with gentleness isn’t a lack of confidence but a deliberate ploy to draw the listener in. You know she is going to hit the big notes but you can’t always work out when she is going to do it. It’s an art that allows her to reveal all her singing talents. ❤

Great reaction Carl to the best female singer in the World today. You will find that she starts a lot of her songs softly and builds them up as she progresses through them. Each song she performs now is better than the last, incredible talent and very well coached.

Its not a build up of confidence its the way the song is supposed to be sung with a gradual build up as in the Snow Patrol origional,by this time in Lucy's life she had already been coached for around 8 yrs!,she is now 20 & one of the finest vocalists on the planet & my particular favourite!😊

Carl, I've watched hundreds, maybe thousands of Lucy Thomas reactions, and yours is the first "flooded with talent" I've ever heard. I love it. It's so simply and totally accurate.
UA-cam's algorithm just gave me you as a reactor about a week ago, and I'm still catching up on your Lucy reactions (I loved your sister-duet Sunday btw), so I'll refrain from any more suggestions until I'm all caught up. I subscribe immediately to any reactor who likes Lucy, as I believe do most of her fans... and there are a lot of us! And we love seeing others experience that first song, the way we did, and then dig into her treasure chest of videos. Lucy Thomas makes every day a better thing.
Quick note: Snow Patrol is a Scottish band that gained popularity (especially in Britain and Europe) in the early 2000's, with two of their biggest hits, Run and Chasing Cars being released around the time Lucy was born. They toured with and opened for U2 for quite a while.

Grandpa Carl, I like and agree with almost all that you say about Lucy. However, on this video (Run) you said her confidence was building through this performance. I think Lucy is not lacking any confidence at all. I see that in many of her other videos she builds a song from soft and low volume to strong voice and loud by the end of the song. It sounds nice and keeps the listeners interest through her performance. I agree that you will not find a voice this good anywhere else. She is all about perfection, no missed notes, no imperfections ever. Just like in The Prayer with Martha and All by Myself, Hallalujah, Memory, etc., these are some of the best covers you will ever hear. I think back over my 60 years of listening to music (I'm 72) and of all the great female singers I've heard since the early sixties. I cannot remember a voice as good as this. Her voice has a beauty so overwhelming that it's hard to handle sometimes. Check out her video of One Day that she recorded at 13. Good enough for Broadway even at that age.

HI Carl what can you say about this other than WOW Lucy was a star back then and has just kept improving I have another one her songs that she sang at around the same age as this maybe a bit younger .The shear power and control in her voice in this song is just beyond words. If it doesn´t blow you out of your chair nothing will.
