I was hopeful but I only gained about 1-2 mph from the change. The old magnet was cracked so I thought I was really onto the issue. I believe the 2005 PQ model has a limiter on it, it doesn’t go faster than 15 mph. Downhill you can sometimes reach 17-18mph briefly. Trying avoid new motor / controller but thinking if I want over 20 mph this is what will be needed.
My club car is an A96. Will this work for me?
nice video thx, I have a question Ijust replace the magnet speed sensor but I don't remember if it was faceing the way you say,but still run,if it is backwards, will it afect it thx
If you remove wheel it is much easier to replace the sensor
Do you have to put the speed sensor back in for it to work or can you leave it off to go faster
I'm pretty sure you need it and then again it might work without it but I'm not sure if it just defaults to the slower speed then give it a try and let me know
The cart will go about 10 mph if the magnet or sensor is broken, missing, or unplugged.
Do you know if this will work for a older 36 volt club car DS? Believe mine is a 96. Definitely not newer than a 2000 please let me know
Sorry not sure maybe if it has the same speed sensor magnet you would have to check
crank up the volts
hey, i have a polaris club car « goupil g4» and i can’t change the speed limit, someone know how to change ?
would that work on 48 regular ds ?
yes it works with 2007 ds GE motor. A little harder to remove and replace on GE motor but results are nearly the same 15-20mph with the pedal slack removed also
@@Bomberomusician 15-20 mph is a big difference. Mine does 12mph now. So what am I looking at a 3 mph gain? Also curious about throttle slack you mentioned? I am on stock small wheels, do you know what putting bigger tires on will do, I’m sure it has the power to go faster? It’s a 48volt. 25mph possible with bigger tires and speed sensor?
@@aquaticterrafirma The slack that Im speaking of is located behind the go pedal. There is a prong sticking out that pushed the MCOR to open. Place /force something hard between that void/slack and you will gain another 3 or three mph
i have a 2022 onward/new club car goes 18 mph changed 15 dollar magnet from amazon now golf cart goes 20 to 22mph or as fast as you want down hill,so be very carefull.
Club car speed sensor
just unplug it😂
I am stuck at 8mph. I replaced the speed sensor and the magnet with a high speed magnet. Still cant get past 8mph. Any thoughts?
Weak batteries or the new sensor is bad. Oooooor you have a broken wire from sensor to module
Replace the motor control unit with a new mod 4 electronic controller. Huge difference. Much faster.
I tried this and it did not work at all.
It may not "seem" like much but when you think about it if you went from 14 to 18mph, that's about a 28.5% increase in top speed; pretty huge, relatively speaking lol. Imagine if a 155mph BMW went 28.5% faster, you'd be flying down the road at 200mph! (into handcuffs shortly after lol) Thanks for the video, my father just bought a 2016 precedent and I think I might do this for him.
Haha so true thanks man good luck with your build!
