So I’ve been wondering about my trans owner before me “which I have no knowledge of who it was cause I bought the truck from a small dealership years ago” did some work to it because it has a black pro torque converter and mine also has the 5 pin plug as shown in the video. I’m wondering if my trans is a 47re or 48re. I’m also wondering if they swapped a 48re into my truck because it’s a 2003 with a “6” in the vin not a “c”. Is there any other differences that I can look at on the outside of the trans to decipher whether it’s a 47re or a 48re?
I KNEW I wasn't crazy...Every video shows the older 3 pin...thx
thanks , do you know what is the way to bypass 5 pin switch?
Will the switches interchange?
No you will need newer switches from the 3pin to the 5pin
Any way to make a 3 pin work on a 5 pin truck ?
No you will need to do a 4th gear lockup kit
