I finally bit the bullet on upgrading and grabbed one of these over the weekend. They’re SUPER nice, and well worth it if you can reasonably afford/justify owning it.

Grabbed this console as well. :3 I love the gradient joy-con design and the design on the back of the switch. Waiting for the HORI Splatoon travel bag that'll release in October for NA. The pro controller looks good but wish they could've done more on the design. It does compliment the green and pink splatoon pro controller.
Can I ask you something? Did you already own a Switch? If so, are you planning to sell that or give it to someone? I just don’t understand buying a whole new console for a paint job. It blows my mind.
This console was what finally the deciding factor was after telling myself no to buying a switch for 5 years now. I am extremely grateful to have gotten this special edition at retail price almost 3 weeks after its release. Walmart was the only website that would allow me to purchase it at retail value while all other sites were between $400-$550. I was expecting about a months wait time but to my surprise it came 2 days after purchase 🤓
I'm a fucken hard-core fan of splatoons!! So I picked this bad boy up and my amiibo collection has grown big this is by far better than the pokemon switch I love my switch so much
I love the style of this system. It motivated me to upgrade to the OLED finally. I might grab the controller too. The case looks nice but I don’t feel like it would provide adequate protection as a travel case.
I bit the bullet and spent $400 on the splatoon 3 OLED, despite already having an OLED. It’s just too gorgeous to pass up, and besides….. I can recoup some of the cost when I sell my old OLED and throw in a couple of games I don’t even play anymore. Can’t wait to receive on Friday!
Traded my 1 year old oled white for one the other day. The left joycon's been drifting and it costs just as much as a new pair of joycon to make the trade. Really cool design btw

And I don't even plan on playing Splatoon games lol. The desing remains me of Jet Set Radio style graffiti Dreamcast game that I love.
I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home. I put strings on the sausages and swing them around the hippos they get so mad at me and scream but it's an obsession sometimes the hippos try and break out of their cages but I keep swinging those hotdogs in wide circles over their heads. Luckily my boss doesn't know I do this or my coworkers
Got the splatoon 3 Oled switch, splatoon 3 pro controller, splatoon 3 neogrip from skull code, the game, and the skull code edc slim case… coming from a version 1 switch… a Mitch needed upgrade…haven’t played any other console since the upgrade
I own this and have loved it every second I use it in both docked and undocked. Still waiting for my pro controller to arrive though :/ oled screen looks great
I'm glad I skipped the white oled model I splurged and bought the splatoon edition it's very cool in my opinion and worth the upgrade from the base switch got a pro controller also since my magic stick don't connect my Xbox controller anymore

No. It will still drift. They aren't going to do anything about it. Also more than likely,... The next system will have the same kind of stick mechanisms.... So yeah, Nintendo don't care! Lol
Got the Splatoon OLED but passed on the controller. Looks exactly like S2 pro controller with different color legs. The Smash pro controller looks way better and the black/white/silver color scheme works well with Splatoon’s OLED.
It’s got slightly different splat designs and logos on it, but not much different other than handles. If you don’t care about that, then not necessary to upgrade your pro controller. Mine was just the standard pro controller that first launched and it’d seen better days, so I picked up the new one
My switch just arrive an it has a clear sticker seal at the bottom is that normal ? When I purchased my switch V 1.1 the box didn’t had any sticker seal at the bottom.
I traded in my white OLED for the Splatoon edition, the joycons are just too sick to not have 😷 I got the Splatoon pro controller as well and it's got a nice grip on the colored handles that's not on the regular pro controller. I'm holding off on buying the case because I had the original OLED one but exchanged it for the hard travel case as it was pushing down a bit on the joycon thumbsticks and leaving an imprint in the case
The console is $360, a $60 game would push it to $420. The highest priced Special Edition Switch we've seen so far is the Pokemon Let's Go. Not sure if Nintendo should break $400 unless it's a new Switch revision.
@@plooper14 just concerned. Alot of people learn of health problems too late when it could have been prevented with just a simple check up. I wish someone would have told me...hey dude, you look yellow instead of going so long with the pain.
@@alexiere Heya thanks for the heads up! I've always just been yellowish in my skin, don't have anything that hurts, what symptoms did you have? I guess it would never hurt to go to the doctor and check, but it's properly nothing😅

Look at the Scarlet and Violet one, it looks so cool.
Cool another black design with different legs. Wish they would give us entirely different colours like the Dualshock 4.
It's cheaper for Nintendo and will be more expensive for everyone else once it hits the aftermarket

Did the pro controller ever fix the DPad diagonal issue? Are the Joy Cons less prone to analog stick drift and wear down?

It will still drift.
They aren't going to do anything about it.

Nintendo fix the d-pad yet on the pro controllers? I realize d-pad isn’t used in Splatoon… just affects overall usability across many games.
Regarding the pro controller. I think the splatoon 2 controller is a bit better in colour.
