thanks for joining us on this wet weather ride to test the X4! Glad to hear that and we'll see more Klima content going forward. The last couple of weeks were just a perfect storm where we had to intro the zooz, do a zooz group ride, modify the zooz, and intro an ebmx lol. We should be back to a healthier rotation with the PEVs going forward
thanks for joining us on this wet ride and welcome to the channel! We'll definitely have more Nami content coming up. It just so happened that the last couple of weeks was all Zooz related because I had to introduce it to the channel, upgrade it with the Handlworks BAC855, and we also had the Zooz Group ride lol. Now we're back to a more Diverse rotation lol.
Thanks for joining us for the wet weather test Giovanni! I’m actually still in bed and recovering. I wasn’t going to make a video out of this test footage from last week but I ended up using it because the algorithm would punish me for weeks if I missed a release lol. So I figured it was better to have something even if it wasn’t 100% than have nothing. Good news is I am feeling better and I’ll be back to work tomorrow. 🙏🏼
thanks for joining us on the wet weather test for the X4 Kyle! The scooter video was long over do but just like you I've been glued on to the zooz for a few weeks lol. Thankfully, the weather forced me to get on the scooter since thats my only ride that I'll trust in the rain! I totally understand that feeling. When I had my V11, I basically put 1000 miles on it faster than any PEV I've owned. I still think that EUCs deliver the best size to range, performance, comfort, and durability compared to any other PEV. I wish I still rode it but since the accident, I just don't have confidence on it. Confidence in your riding ability and trust in your PEV are both mandatory for navigating NYC's traffic!
@@eyebahnrides Yeah, I could never handle NY on a PEV. It would be too much of a sensory overload for me. I had a bad scooter accident and that stick with ya for while.
thanks for joining us on this wet weather ride and welcome to the channel! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the video because I wasn't going to post this video since I wasnt 100% happy with the audio. But I'm glad I did! Oh man, I hope you're ok. Taking a spill always sucks! I actually almost wiped out twice on my ride on home on Sunday. It was raining really hard and there was alot of oil on the road. Thankfully, I run much lower tire pressure and lower acceleration up front because I felt like I was going to slide out but the scooter never did!
Thanks for watching! Yea man, shout out to all of the folks that ride in all conditions. Riding in the rain is miserable but not as miserable as taking the subway lol. Non NYers wont understand how bad the MTA is why some of us choose to risk it on the roads over taking the subway 😂
Sketchy riding in the wet but great features on the Nami being able to lower the power to front wheel...The mirrors look neat & wow have you got a awsome collection of PEVs now along with that super cool helmet you are set...😀🖐
thanks for joining us on this wet weather ride Steven! Thats one of the things that I've really loved over the years with my Namis. I've really liked that I can dial in the Psettings for the motors to match my riding style. It's great for saving on tires, but also great for situations like this! Yup! The stable is really rounding out really well with the Zooz, the board, the nami, and the s73. The helmet was great for the rain too. No leaks
Thanks for joining us on this wet weather test and thank you for the feedback! I’ve been working really hard on improving the color correction/ color grading for the videos so reading this lets me know I’m on the right path!
thanks for joining us for this test ride and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate the feedback as well. I'll try to remember that the next time we do one of these wet weather rides. I'm aiming to do a "Full Commute" version next time where to give a more immersive feel!

*I stopped ridin in the rain man,* got sick of the clean up and extra maintainance, especially with issues on eBoards 😭 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️🤙🏽 You are a brave man!
I could only imagine the amount of cleaning and maintenance you have to do on a board! That's why I've never taken mine out. Luckily, all i have to do with the Nami is hose it down on a nice day and have it checked every 1000 miles to make sure that nothing is messed up. Super low maintenance for a high performance PEV
Yea man, it’s a pain in the behind. I’ve got to reprogram myself lol. Once I get used to it, it won’t be so bad. But I feel more for the pedestrians that have to deal with walking through that mess like that poor gent with the walker!
thanks for watching the wet weather ride! Ayeeeeee congrats! I love this throttle so much that I have it on my Zooz and my Klima. I have to pick up a few just to make sure I have extras if I ever get any new scooters/ bikes! lol
@eyebahnrides What finger throttle are you using ? Im Strongly Considering a Klima Max, but do not believe I'd like a thumb throttle (grip). Thx for the info. Fan of your channel.
It's insane how much range this klima has not much of a hassle to lift it too. One thing as klima owner that shocked me is how did not go through paint discoloration from the weather elements. My vsett10+ the paint started looking a bit brown or like copper instead of black. But yea some of the tips of the screws on my klima are kinda rusting gonna have to use a black painting marker to touch em up for metal. Would be sweet if fluidfreeride had a rubber deck spare part for this nami klima with the nami logo on it. I think I had my klima a little above more then a year close to 2 years. I got mine close too 1000 miles and I didn't change the stock tires yet im checking and waiting to see how long those CST tires gonna last for. I do have 2 more spare CST tires but yea the front tire looks way more warned out then on the front. Every scooters i owned its like its always the front tire that gets warned out. Anyways my boy iven some point i mighy buy the mars XTR or maybe the solar hyperion not sure yet. Iv been enjoying my LS7+ 72 volt iv changed the rear tire to street tires but had a problem with the front. The as hole manufacturer probably overtightened one of the bolts on the motor hub the tip of the elen bolt got rounded off so gonna have to use apoxy glue for metal to put it on the tip of the elen bolt and attach the elen tool let it dry then crank it lose to get that bolt out. 😮😊
Yea man I know what you mean about how great the range is for a 60v 30ah build! You’re right about the paint. I think there’s a hydrophobic coating on it because it’s so easy to clean the scooter and it holds the color really well. I’ve really put this scooter through its paces and outside of a few chips from rocks, it’s basically new as well. I think there’s a third party that makes those rubber mats. Glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the LS7! I’ve stopped searching for new PEVs because of the issues we’ve been running into in my office building and apartment. I’m 1500 miles in and my tires are basically new (also got a flat so one got replaced at 700 miles)
thanks for watching the wet weather x4 test Reuben! Oh man, I'm not ready for this cold that we have here this week. I can't believe its almost time to start talking about cold weather gear again .....😮💨
Thanks for joining us on this rainy ride and welcome to the channel Ms. Joyner! This video was actually recorded close to 2 weeks ago. I originally wasn't going to release the footage, but I ended up doing so because I got sick and didn't have an opportunity to record a replacement video! We also just got quite a bit of rain over this weekend so we can just pretend it was just done then lol.
Audio is great, that wind-eater works well. I use Jabra Elite 10's to drown out the noise for my rides. My brother just bought a Klima & I was wondering what the best ratio would be for rain - seems like 2/5 Front and 5/5 Rear is ideal. I find manhole covers & thick crosswalk paint & of course, gravel is an eastern Canada thing. I memorize the terrain. I've never ridden a Klima - wondering if you use the red "turbo" mode, does it override the ratio & go 5/5 both front/rear no matter what? Great video, I'm only 1/4 of the way through it so far. I put 25miles on my Phantom this morning. Good to see a fellow commuter!
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! Memorizing dangers on the route is the key thing for us daily commuters. Whether the dry or wet, you gotta know where the dangers are coming from. If he’s riding in the wet and it’s his first time I would recommend the following: Front motor acceleration: 1 Rear motor acceleration: 4 or 5 Max output: 4 (both motors) The good thing about turbo with the Klima is it doesn’t over ride the settings. It just takes your max out out and adds 15% to it. I hope that 25 mile ride was a fun ride therapy session for you!
@@eyebahnrides Love that about the 15% boost to whatever you set it to - that more advanced than I gave it credit for. I always thought "P-settings? That's some pretty old tech". I still do, but I respect that they cover a lot of performance/mode configs.
@@OhGawdHesGotAGun yea, it surprised me too. Just keep in mind it’s not as advance as we think. I believe it’s 15% of the max motor output and doesn’t touch acceleration. If anything I think it dampens acceleration a little in exchange for the higher top end speed
@@eyebahnrides First thing my brother did was look for ways to calm the throttle response. It was visceral - and I'm going to be helping him do the configs. There should be an app like with Apollo - like I said, P codes are just Nami being too cheap to create an interface with the scooter. But it's good that it can be controlled somewhat. I don't know if I really need THAT much acceleration, but I do know I need larger wheels, IP*5 or higher, and something between 80 & 90 km/h (50-55mph). The 2025 Apollo releases seem to be teasing performance boosts - but like I keep mentioning, I still put priority into being able to fold a scooter & put it in the car. The Burn-E2 Max is what I've been dreaming about, but something tells me it's simply too much scooter. 65mph is pushing the genre into a design vs. safety category. Standing upright, headlong into the wind, I just don't see it working out well.
Heyo. don't know if you seen the comment on the last video, but have you had issues with the back tire airing out? Edit: I like these weather rides tbh. After having my previous scooters shut down for days due to being caught in rain, it gives me a bit of a peace of mind seeing you power through light/medium rain without fret on the Klima as well :3 Never had issues myself, but there is always that anxiety
Thanks for watching! I just caught up on the comments from the last couple of days so I just responded to it if you have second to check it out. Been in bed the last week just trying to recover with whatever it is that I had and I’m just finally able to catch up with UA-cam! Thank you for the feedback! I’ve had an issue with a non IP rated scooter before (mantis 10) but I’ve never had any issues with my Nami scooters. Between the burn E and Klima, I probably have thousands of miles of wet weather riding because I ride all year round. Thankfully, I’ve never had any problems. However, I am pretty ocd about routine maintenance and having the guys at the shop do a full run down on parts every 1000 miles or so!
@eyebahnrides What finger throttle are you using ? Im Strongly Considering a Klima Max, but do not believe I'd like a thumb throttle (grip). Thx for the info. Fan of your channel.
thanks for joining us for this wet weather test for the X4 and welcome to the channel Keith. Apologies for the delayed response. Work has been insane and I'm just playing catch up with UA-cam now! The throttle I use has been nicknamed "The Polish Throttle" by the Nami FB Community. They were originally developed for ebikes in Poland but we've been hotwiring them to work on Namis for years now. If you go into the group and search for the throttle, you'll find the link for the sellers there. I purchased my locally from my scooter dealer but I believe that site is trustworthy since all the major EU Nami dealers have posted the link before. Hope this helps!
@@keithb4048 good luck! Maybe they can source it for you and install it on to the scooter for a fee. That’s what I had to do since the original version of the throttle required cutting and soldering.
I've been riding electric bikes and scooters for 10 or so years. And I would tell anyone 🛴 plus 🌧️ is a terrible idea. The stability is unpredictable. This is coming from a seasoned rider.
thanks for watching the wet weather test ride for the X4! I appreciate the concern. Since my scooters have always been IP rated, those have been one of 2 PEV types I've really gotten to know in the rain. The only other type of PEV is an EUC. Over the last 5 years I would say I've done thousands upon thousands of miles on them and a good amount of those rides are in wet or rainy conditions. At this point, I'm most familiar with the scooter in those conditions and would trust it over my bikes. Alot of us are sick of the conditions in the MTA so we choose to ride even though wet weather riding is actually a crappy experience lol!
@@profilmwork I personally think riding in the rain is actually miserable lol. Its cold and you get pelted by drops that feel like little pebbles at speed. Despite that, I'd rather take my chances on the road vs. taking the 7 and E train lol!
Hey Eyebahn, I ended up buying the exact same mirrors you have from the link in the description, but the bolts aren't long enough and doesn't fit the bars? Did you customise it somehow or yours just fit naturally? Cheers
Thanks for watching and glad you got the mirrors. That’s strange, they fit on my stock Klima bars with no modification. It was a little snug and I had to get them on the bars before screwing them closed
thanks for joining us for the wet ride! I would love to experience a bike like the Summit 1 and take it out on rides like these. I know they're IPX7 and I've always wanted an eMTB with a torque sensor.. Maybe one day, when the channel get's big enough we'll get more brands reaching out!
thanks for joining us for this wet weather test and welcome to the channel! I use the extra wide handlebar extension they sell at FluidFreeRide's Brooklyn shop. When I had them install the DTRL/ Turn Signals, I had them install the bar as well. I hope this helps!
thanks for joining us for this wet weather ride and welcome to the channel! I have hundreds of miles in the rain/ wet road conditions on the Klima and thousands of wet weather miles on nami scooters. Just like with everything else, I believe these scooters can handle most rainy conditions as long as you take the steps to maintain and care for the scooter afterwards. The two things I would avoid are heavy down pours and heavy snow. I hope this helps!
I need your opinion, I like the nami burn-e max but everyone telling me to go for the new imotion rs or rs midnight! What you think is more reliable? Spending 4k I really don't want to be stuck in the street carrying it mao
thanks for joining us on this ride! Apologies for the delayed response, work as been really crazy since I've been playing catch up from being sick for a week. I'm finally getting to UA-cam now. Unfortunately, I don't really have any opinions on the RS or RS midnight since I've never gotten a chance to try them. I'm not really into speculating based on paper stats because alot of that stuff that the companies give us is all fluffed up. I can say I enjoyed my Inmotion V11 and it was extremely reliable and they are a reputable company when it comes to build quality. As a person that owned a Gen 1 Burn E for almost 3 years + almost 4000 miles and as an owner of a Nami Klima Max for almost a year now and almost 1500 miles, I can vouch for the quality of Nami Scooters. I ride in all weather conditions except for anything that would put my life in danger (ice, thunderstorms, sleet, heavy snow, etc...). I also ride on some of the worst roads and in traffic conditions that will really put a PEV through its paces. Despite all that, the scooters have been extremely reliable and never had a break down. Just keep in mind I regularly check on my scooter, store it properly, and have it regularly serviced and tuned up. Just like anything, it'll take care of you if you take care of it. I'm sure the same could be said of the RS but I've yet to experience one of their scooters. I hope this helps
Nope! I don't like the way the image looks with it. I only use the lens protectors when I'm doing eskate or putting the camera in a position where it could be hit with something.
No link since I'm not affiliated with them but I exclusively use Deity Components for my grip/ clamps. I rotate out between Supracush, Knuckledusters, and Lockjaws depending on the PEV.
It was good to see a bit of wet weather riding on the Nami from your neck of the woods. I also have worked out to put less power and acceleration on the front wheel than the back. I don't like going over any white paint on the road (particularly on a lean). I notice you have green paint on your cycleways, do they have reasonable grip? Here is my wettest experience on my Nami as I arrive home drenched - (I live in New Zealand). ua-cam.com/video/0_KJRdou7DA/v-deo.html
thanks for joining us on this wet weather test for the X4! Glad you enjoyed it because I wasn't really going to post this video since the audio needs a little tweaking. Reducing power to the front in wet conditions is a must. I wish the Namis had the "traction control" feature that the Wolf King GTRs have. I avoid turning on the paint as well. The painted cycle ways can be slick despite the city claiming that it's not any different than the regular roads lol. I'll check out the video a bit later when I finish catching up with youtube stuff. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for joining us on this wet test for the X4 Manuel! Nah man, it's not that crazy. I probably have thousands upon thousands of miles on my scooters in the rain/ wet road. They're the only things that I trust in this condition because of of it's IP rating and because of my experience on them. I do have the guys at FFR take extra measures during service time to make sure that everything is capable of surviving the wet weather, but totally worth it especially if I can avoid the shady MTA system lol.

Thanks for the reply, and info.
I'll inquire to the seller here in Can about it if I " pull the trigger" on the klima. Pun intended. 😁
Presently have an Apollo Ghost....
@@keithb4048 good luck! Maybe they can source it for you and install it on to the scooter for a fee. That’s what I had to do since the original version of the throttle required cutting and soldering.
Do more like this
thanks for watching the video and I appreciate the feedback! We're definitely going to have more videos like this going forward!
@@eyebahnrides I ride in everything as well, cannot do the MTA but myself and others know that 🛴 usually don't like the rain
Wonder if Velotric would send you a Summit 1.
thanks for joining us for the wet ride! I would love to experience a bike like the Summit 1 and take it out on rides like these. I know they're IPX7 and I've always wanted an eMTB with a torque sensor.. Maybe one day, when the channel get's big enough we'll get more brands reaching out!
What handle bar extension shaft kit did you use?
thanks for joining us for this wet weather test and welcome to the channel! I use the extra wide handlebar extension they sell at FluidFreeRide's Brooklyn shop. When I had them install the DTRL/ Turn Signals, I had them install the bar as well.
I hope this helps!
@eyebahnrides Thanks. I'm doing the same to mine. Love the riding vids. Keep up the good work.
im looking forward to buy it, but from where in vancouver island it rains in most days, would the klima handle such condition? thanks!
thanks for joining us for this wet weather ride and welcome to the channel!

Thank you for joining us on this wet weather test for the X4! I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed it 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
where did you get the handlebar extender from?
FFR sells the long extenders at their shop in Brooklyn or on their site. I purchased these from the BK shop
Don’t use lens protection for insta360 x4 ?
Nope! I don't like the way the image looks with it. I only use the lens protectors when I'm doing eskate or putting the camera in a position where it could be hit with something.
can you provide link for the grips? not a fan of the stock nami grips
Crazy! I never ride my scooter in the rain way to dangerous
thanks for joining us on this wet test for the X4! hahaha yea man, I ride all year round in all conditions. The only thing that I avoid is ice, heavy downpours, and heavy snow. At this point, I probably have thousands upon thousands of miles in the rain/ wet road!
You are crazy for riding in the rain that’s a big no for me
thanks for joining us on this wet test for the X4 Manuel!
🙏🏼 Thanks for watching!
