It's strange that you say sensorless Vector has more torque than constant torque because all the companies are showing that they're vdf has more torque on the constant torque setting, they show themselves trying to stop the motor with there hand or piece of wood and they can't. Are you sure you're not making a mistake?
i was wondering this myself, usually constant torque is the load requirement and what the motor provides, and sensorless vector is the means by which the vfd makes it happen
It's more reliable/easy given no consideration of the physical load, take for example you have a conveyer belt that you are retro fitting a VFD to replace an old soft start system or just looking to have speed control, all you have to do is plug it in and off you go, if the machinery jams the motor will heat up a little before cutting out. Compare that to SV control where you need to either plug in all the model parameters (lots of math to come up with those out of thin air) or do a handful of auto tune runs with varying loads/configurations, then you need to validate all the failure modes, because if you stall a motor under SV control it's far more likely to burn up or cause mechanical failure with all the extra torque available.
@@CHRISINMCNEILL I changed the setting on my 24" Grob bandsaw to sensorless vector and the motor pulses several times on startup, but after that it runs. Looks like I need to check everything out again.
hi James any chance you can share your settings or help me verify mine? I'm in the process of setting my wj200 up to run with my centroid acorn using analogue 0-10v and relay board to switch directions and do the reset. here is the link to my post on the centroid forums i would appreciate it if you could have a read and verify if my settings are correct centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=2382&p=16819&hilit=Hitachi+WJ200#p16819 thanks Ash
Thanks alot
hi, please share a picture of the power input. I have a WJ200 -200V 1Phase 1.5kW. Thank you Sir.

Thanks for the demo. Glad you had the Hitach with SV Control.
Great demo. Just what i was looking for. Thanks
Why would you choose the constant torque if the vector setting is better? Thanks for this video 👍🏻

Thanks for pointing this out. I have been running mine in the default mode for years and cursing VFD's, LOL.
Your welcome
