  • Hey guys so today I’m going to address those that are always saying it’s safer for us to be living in the US rather than here in Morocco. I get many comments (mostly westerners) and it’s quite irritating because most of these people don’t even have a passport! So let’s look at the facts, which is safer? Enjoy! ❤️🇲🇦

I noticed you mention "white people" expressions often in ur talk. Tht talk is understandable only in America & few western countries. In Morocco people are mixed n thy dont care abt people face colors, if they are yellow, red dark or white. Thy don't pay attention or even see it. In Morocco its not appropriate to describe people based on their face colors. Even if most people are some how darker, white people in morocco wld think u r tallkng abt them. Th darker ones or black ones like from th south from th Sahara will think u r desrrespecring them whn u talk abt personal privacy like their personal body color. People in Morocco dont care abt colors. I suggest to use nationality. Or etniicvity noce way if u meed to deference uer self to them. Colors r mixed im morocvo n only in Ametica leople focuse in these insenificate details due to th past slavery time.. in Africa we dont see diferences if u r white , black. We see only if u r moroxxoan, amazigh, arab or European secendent. No color talks. Srry. Just an opignion. If u like it use it. If not its ur business. Shokran

Morocco is cool, I've traveled everywhere in Morocco from Tanger up north to the desert down south where the Great Sahara starts. If you're lucky you'll see the big herd crossing to the oasis or some other place. I even started writing a novel and I'm turning slowly into a philosopher 😊
Probably that's the end of the rope for me and I'm thinking of staying here, the American novelist Paul Bowles lived more than 50 years in Tanger. He traveled everywhere in the world but decided to stay here where he died over twenty years ago.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on Morocco! It's great to hear that you feel safe here. Great video as always...However
when people from countries like Morocco or other Muslim or developing nations choose to move to the US, it’s usually about more than just safety.
One big reason is economic opportunity. Another reason is freedom of speech and religion. In the US, you can pretty much say what you think and practice any religion without fear. That level of freedom isn’t always available in every country, and for many, it’s a huge deal.
Then there’s stuff like pollution, noise, and the general environment. fraud and corruption. Even Moroccans/ third world country citizens can get tired of getting scammed left and right. Also, no noise ordinance anywhere. These are some of the factors that can make someone say " I've had it".
But, having said that, Morocco is still the best deal out there .......when it comes to developing countries. so I thank God after all.

Hello Erin , thank you for putting a clear shade on some violence / crimes issues in the two countries you resided in !
It is true that domestic violence , and other crimes are a huge problem in America 😢 We also have a lot of issues of mental illnesses that does not get addressed with a comprehensive and a personalized treatment.
Unfortunately, some psychiatric wards prefer to treat patients , with strong medication and not much counseling or after care resources…
Also , I think that Veterans Affairs should be looked into with more care !
Also , it’s unbelievably easy to get a fire arm in some states compare to others !
I believe that all this factors might contribute to the crimes we hear about in the news !
America could be heaven or could be hell for some people at times …
Love what you do , and the spontaneous way you present it . I am pretty sure that you are making a difference in people’s minds! 😊
I live in Washington township nj , a very quiet area compared to other places ,and I love my surroundings; we are surrounded by an excessive police 👮 force that works day and night in a very discreet manner keep the community safe.
I can enjoy my healthy walk at dusk in the community park without any concern for my safety 😊

As a muslim myself i have had all sorts of abuse living in a western country because people don't understand what true Islam means. It is fabulous that you did this video to show people out there the the facts.
It makes me laugh though when people pass comment comments of why do these people move to the west if its that good. My response to that is (no offence intended) why western people move to these countries then? They doing it for the exact same reason as any other person.

I think the issue of living in any country is a personal matter because the place where you are comfortable you can live in it, as Moroccans we feel that it is our duty to present a beautiful and comfortable image to foreigners, it is part of the tradition, America is different in that it is a more diverse country, Moroccans visit and live and are open to the West, our relationship with the West is a strong relationship, whether you are Muslim, Christian or Jewish it has no effect, the most important thing is to be free to move and live in peace. In Morocco we do lack some democracy, justice and education, the economy flourishes after that everything is beautiful. We are on the way even though we are moving slowly

The problem is that people often confuse Islam with Arab cultures or the practices of certain extremist countries (af..). Many don’t seek accurate information and instead rely on news that distorts Islam. linking it to extremism and backwardness. In reality, Islam strictly forbids terrorism, killing, lying, and dishonesty……..
For example, Islam does not require women to cover their faces that is a cultural practice in some Arab regions. Islam advises women to cover their bodies to prevent harassment and protect dignity. Love u❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I agree with your points, but we do have to be realistic. Morocco is the most visited country in the entire African continent by quite a big margin. It's not only attracting tourists, it's also attracting long-stay digital nomads, expats, and people from Europe permanently moving to the country. This has brought a lot of western concepts to the country and they're not all bad. But establishments like bars and clubs where a lot of alcohol is consumed are getting quite popular. You can especially see this with the youth who are very much drawn to going to EDM festivals, clubs, and bars. So it's only a matter of time until that will produce it's own set of problems. I'm just happy it's extremely difficult to get a gun in Morocco. But there are still gangs using big knifes, they are also a big issue in the inner cities.

There is an Egyptian who said that when he came to Morocco, he came on the basis of a week visit that's it, but he says he stayed here for ten years and I will live here my whole life. He says there is something strange that I cannot understand that attracted me to stay in this country.

Is this what the Moroccan constitution stipulates? Are you aware of what you are saying? There is pressure from associations for change, and many laws have been changed, but this has not changed the country’s constitution in its definition.

Honestly, as a Moroccan I can totally concur with most of what you said. However, I just wanted to add that, while we are in a muslim county, (from my and my relatives' perspective), we are loosing slowly our muslim spirit, all because of social media culture or even people drinking at night while everybody is asleep, but, later on, when you go to the masjid, u find on your way bottles of alcohol. To me a lot of Moroccans do drink, stay in cafes instead of working AND SMOKE A LOT, or is it just me?

I doubt God wants us to stay put. You travel, you meet people you open your mind, your world is the world. You search till you find where you belong, don't let culture language norms stop you. You can learn anything. I have friends who visited Japan, Italy and even Chile and never came back. You seem to find Morocco as your home and your children home, enjoy it to the fullest and don't bug yourself with what people or chatgpt say

i' think the the majority of Moroccans who ask why you live here instead of the United States are thinking about the monthly salary and infrastructure such as the metro. They think that the expenses are equal and that they can become rich once they reach the United States and renting an appartement beside Madison Square
