Unlike her, I was born in Hong Kong, but I left Hong Kong when I was very young, and I have lived outside of Hong Kong for over 4 decades. Since I don't live in a city full of Cantonese-speaking people, and since I am married to a non-Chinese, I rarely get the chance to speak Cantonese except when I go to Hong Kong to see my mom. If I am to do an interview like this one, I will talk like her too, maybe even more effortfully. In fact, I am quite impressed by how well she retains many colloquial expressions in Cantonese that even I do not know. She really is very respectful of the Hong Kong audience.

She tried so hard not to use any English words. Love her being so sincere and real. Gayle (Leon Lai’s ex wife) is one of those fake ABC. She can actually speaks Chinese fluently but fake it like she barely can communicate in Chinese.
