it’s been over 40 years since i last picked up a paddle was just getting good enough to do class 4’s and blew out one of my knees skiing never to get back on a river. thanks for the memories. for those out there who haven’t touched white water the camera doesn’t do justice to the power of the water. cheers from Australia
That was an awesome trip. A great boys ‘getaway’. I really enjoyed seeing that part of our gorgeous country. From a warm sunny Ottawa thanks for the opportunity
When I was a youngster and working in the summer for MN public school at the age of 14 or 15, Our teachers take us to a summer Canoe camping at Namekagon river in Wisconsin for a week in wilderness of Wisconsin. We had lot of fun back than and at the last day we run out of food and everyone was hungry. But it was fun and I can still have a good memory of the camping of the wilderness of Wisconsin.
hi everyone I really enjoy seeing great videos, Mike when I was young we used to ride small boat I remember those memories, thank you for your videos. I'm a Filipina work here in Hongkong I I almost watched all your videos it's really great stay safe all.
Hello Mike - That looks like an awesome trip and beautiful scenery. What a great trip. Thank you for sharing it with us. Stay Safe. Looking forward to part 2. Regards, Randy in Arizona (101 degrees today).
I enjoyed that very much Mike. Falls Brook was running full- very beautiful. I'd say that you are hooked on moving water after this trip! I'll give you a call. Great trip ! Can hardly wait to see the run down thru 3 Mile Rapids and Company Line rapids. Rory
Very nice Mike. Where's Sandra at? Wish there was more footage from after hours, but I know how tired you must have been. I'm looking forward to part 2.
Growing up there was a TV show about the Miramichi fishing. That was in the early 70’s. Nice to hear that name again. 👍🏻. The show was on PBS. One of 4 stations we got back then. ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS. Of course we had to move the antenna for each channel. 🍻
Hi guys, what did you think of your first miramichi river trip, myself and buddies have been down many many times, over 40 years... favourite river in the province, well done ... we have 2 trips planned this year... cheers ...
GREAT VEDIO. VERY RELAXING TO SEE. I AM LIVING IN BEIT SHEMESH ISRAEL WITH A LOT OF ROCKETS BEING FIRED NOT FAR FOM ME, 25 KILOMETERS FROM HERE. NICE BREAK. THANKS A BUNCH.
Mike the guy at the back does the steering not the front. He tells you what to do. You looked like you were trying to steer the boat not paddle. Simon was the one to scout the route. Exciting trip. Loved the excitement of the rapids and camping in the hot tent. Wish Sandra was there though.
Hi Alison, that is mostly true on flat or calm water. However in faster moving current with rocks and obstacles along the way, it is important that both paddlers work together. You'd be surprised (as I was) how much of an impact the front paddler can have on making corrections and adjustments when paddling down a fast flowing river.
I know the ones that own the cottages don't have a blast watching you and others come down that river. Sittin there with a bbq brawt smothered in delicious goodness n a cold beer watchin you and others risk your lives on that river. If that's not entertainment I don no what is. ha!
I have occasionally worn a red ribbon or even a red glove on my right hand just so I can follow quick urgent instructions. “ RIGHT RIGHT .......RED!!!!!”
Now is Simon is he onTube also. I really like the river and your camp set up and everything but I’m just used to you Mike and Sandie in your cooking and I don’t know. It was a good one but I didn’t like it as much as normal
oh man it finally happened. mike sold out. before you know it he and sandra are going to be cutting their hair and recording with an orchestra. blasphemy

Cheers Dennis, sorry you haven't had the chance to go canoeing. You're right about the power of the water, it's pretty wild!
You guys are living the life ! Enjoy
We were! It was fun. Thanks Mike!

Poor Mike was wore out on the 2nd nite..he fought that water..he'll learn..

@@IamOutdoorsy you are right my dad taught me that at a young age .the front can steer just as well as the back .alot of ppl never learn this
