It was seat of our pants football. We were winging it and not controlling games. At times we were being outplayed by relegation teams. To be honest I wasn’t happy when we sacked Poch as I thought it would just be more instability but have been pleasantly surprised. People need to hold their negative opinions till the end of the season then we can evaluate.

Last season felt like gritting our teeth for 90 minutes, praying we could get against 3 points against weak sides. Now I expect us to compete regardless of the opponent. How Rory has the platform he does is beyond me
I believe Poch left and was not sacked. I guess accounting for 2024 will reveal what really happened, but Poch hinted already months before season ended that «it might not be only to the owners» and the «he and his coaching team might not be happy with terms». I’m paraphrasing, but I half-expected Poch to leave after that comment.
However, Enzo seems much better communicator already after few months in the hot seat and it translates on the results and general play.
It’s still early days, but I like the squad we have and the direction it’s heading despite defensive frailties.
We still need Van Dyke/Alisson type of signings to compete with the best.
Hopefully next 4 fixtures will allow us to stay in the race for top 4 despite the inevitable drop of form in december.
