We are currently investigating ourselves, have shown up to this hearing with no information. In 4 years the investigation will be over, and they will have found they did nothing wrong.
Because "under investigation" is considered an acceptable excuse for doing nothing, and 3 weeks to do what should take a day is considered being thorough. Ignorance of every fact concerning a scandal is always preferable when testifying before Congress.
Im gonna start answering my wife like a congressional hearing. "What i can say, hunny, is that i became aware of your emotions towards my actions on October 7th. Im doing a full investigation and will promptly take any action to rectify the issue and hold those accountable."
The FEMA Administrator should be asked if she gave such guidance to skip homes with Trump signs, and if she did not then who would have the authority to give such guidance. If it was happening in multiple states, it could not have been the field agents. It would have to be someone with multi-state authority.
The FEMA directer has been in her position for almost 4 years now and still doesn't know who her chain of command is? Safe to say she will be the first firing in Trump's administration.
I don't think I've ever heard an American citizen say, "I thank God for FEMA. Without them, I would have died! Thank you, FEMA, for your quick response!" Not one time since its inception has that ever been said. Get rid of the entire department! The last thing any emergency needs is beurocracy.
Ms. McClain. We all know its against constitutional law for federal employees (of any level), to refuse service (discriminate against) based on ones political beliefs. You want to make people believe you are actually serious? Then push to have stiffer penalties when federal employees get caught violating peoples rights, other than just firing, or transferring them. How about pushing for stiffer penalties? Like they can no longer apply for any state or federal jobs? Actual fines? No severance pay of any kind? Its long past time that government officials/employees get held accountable, for violating citizens rights.
There was a printed document with that information on it. I'm sure the woman fired didn't create and print the document on her own, as she was low on the food chain. Who directed that document to be printed and distributed?
How about asking what is being done to provide shelter for the homeless in NC, Tenn, Ga! That would be informing to me because what I've heard on UA-cam, no sheltering is being provided. There is no hotels or motels there. They were destroyed also! Some say, well go to another area less damaged, but their vehicles are also gone!
because they can? Becuase thet's how bureaucracy works? Maybe do a little research as to how governments work rather than posting silly rhetorical posts that you shoudl have learned around 7th grade
We are paying these people to be enemies of our citizens! Simple solution call a short break and tell her to get on the phone in the next room and get these people to come in right now,to testify, and make sure the phone is tapped so she can’t create a cover story!!
In any professional setting-especially when dealing with Congress or other governmental authorities-clear and honest communication is non-negotiable. Evasive or obfuscating behavior undermines trust, transparency, and the credibility of the institution being represented. When individuals engage in such behavior, it not only reflects poorly on them but also damages the reputation of the team or organization they represent. As a leader of a large team, I hold my staff to the highest standards of accountability and professionalism. If anyone on my team were to speak to Congress or any authoritative body in a manner that suggests they are hiding information or intentionally creating confusion, there would be immediate consequences. They would be terminated, and if their actions aligned with any criminal activity, such as obstruction or intentional misrepresentation, appropriate legal steps would be taken to hold them accountable. This kind of conduct should never be tolerated, regardless of the role or title of the individual. If such behavior is observed, it is imperative to address it directly and ensure it is escalated to the appropriate leadership or regulatory bodies. Those who engage in these tactics need to face the consequences, not only to restore integrity but also to set a precedent that such actions will not be tolerated. Accountability starts at the top, and it is essential to know who has the authority to address and correct such behavior. If anyone has the contact information of this individual's supervisor, it would be helpful to share it so this matter can be escalated to the appropriate level.
If it's true she has nothing to do with the discrimination, and that she took appropriate steps to deal with the situation, I find it weird she came unprepared, and gives dismissive answers. 5:05 "what consequences would you expect for a supervisor who knew this was going on" This is a simple question. Dismissal, and possibly legal action. That's the answer, the question calls for. There is no need for lawyer waffling around the subject. That is, if you have nothing to hide
“I have 22,000 employees” but only one made the MF’n news! JFC, the lack of curiosity before attending a meeting is intentional obstruction and should be treated as such. She knew damned well what she was there to discuss, and showed up blissfully ignorant of any details.
Every subpoena to testify before Congress by an agency lead about an incident should come with the warning that failure to know basic facts such as the chain of command will mean instant termination. Such a person is either obfuscating, part of the problem, or inept. Or all three.
Had no info on the chain of command, not even the very first level supervisor. And no idea about the severance package? Like these were obscure tangentialtopics or concepts...🤨🤯😵💫
But....As always....who's going to be held accountable? Until people start getting held accountable and jail cells start filling up with the real criminals its all just theater.
So we’re going to let them do an internal investigation🤬 I get tired of watching shows like this one just to make us US citizens think that they’re doing something about it. We are not a bunch of dummies🤬. blah blah, blah blah blah. oh and make sure you bring a folder and spread the papers out real good that way it looks like we’re doing something.😂😂😂😂
Well, the IG is supposedly an outsider and doing the investigation. But I have little confidence in their capacity or objectivity as well. Few IG investigations ever lead to more than which has already inadvertently exposed. And supervisors never take the heat for poor supervision unless they are directly also involved. Termination and loss of pension for coverups need to be a thing.
Snowflake much? The woman in charge stonewalling, lying and should be fired on the spot for failed job performance without any benefits! Go Elon and Vivek! Weeding out this kind of fraud, abuse of taxpayer money and total incompetence is no longer going to be tolerated!
Basic Leadership, Ms. Washington knows her supervisor, if I was speaking in front of congress, I would know Ms. Washington's chain of command or at the very least her direct supervisor. I think Ms. Criswell isn't telling the truth, I would have had her terms of her termination, how long she was with the agency, her direct supervisor, why this directive was given. If she was provided a severance package. The truth, and if you failed, OWN IT!!

So, why wasn't Ms. Washington and her supervisor not on the carpet in front of you explaining what happened? It's pretty basic investigating.
Because "under investigation" is considered an acceptable excuse for doing nothing, and 3 weeks to do what should take a day is considered being thorough. Ignorance of every fact concerning a scandal is always preferable when testifying before Congress.
Thing is this wan should be on the carpet Ms Washington is low-hanging fruit.

Excellent questioning, but typical waffling and window dressings of a politician. This is the swamp that needs to be drained.
