Nicks right about the iPhone 12’s battery life. As a owner of a 12, it’s a day phone with medium use not for heavy users. I want to see if they improve battery on the 14

much for the 14. They made the 13 heavier for a bigger battery. Maybe just a more efficient chip in the new one
The iphone 14 will have a smaller battery so will be a bit less than the 13 as when Apple increase the battery capacity they usually drop the capacity a year later.

Bought the IPhone 13 last March after being a Android user for years. The phone is smooth even tho it’s only 60 hz. I don’t think there’s much difference from the 12 and 13. But the battery life is really an upgrade since nowadays people wants more battery time on their phones.

Not sure about getting 12/13 Iphone ,im on S20+ dont really want to switch as i believe S20+ is a super solid device however my contract is ending also there's alot of issue with green or pink vertical lines on some S20+ displays even though no fall damage probably due to software issue and stuff

I have the 12 and I get through the day with around 55% remaining, and that's running Facebook, my work apps, lots of screen on time. I think it does fairly well considering. Games are the big one, they absolutely shred through battery.

I have the iPhone 13 and it’s a great all around iPhone. It gets the job done really well, it may not have the bells and whistles of the Pro Versions but the iPhone 13 does more than enough to please a lot of the Normal iPhone users.
I upgraded from the XR to the Regular 13 (in Green for me), I still would have upgraded from an 11 but… if I had the 12 I would have stuck with it until Apple releases the iPhone 14 models later this year. The differences between the 12 & 13 are so minor that it’s not really worth swapping… unless you were getting a 13 Pro from a Regular 12 model.
The difference between like 3-4 are Almost the same. You only see really difference like every 5 years. Look at the 11,12,13 lol there basically the same phone.

Hey Nick, keep up the great content video comparison was great. I want to ask, I currently own a Samsung S10e I've had it for around almsot 3 years now the battery is starting to deplete I think have around 73% battery capacity which I found out using a third party app. I am thinking about making my move into using an iPhone as I am currently in the apple eco system of the MacBook air and iPad air. I just wanted to ask what phone should I go ahead and buy as i am not sure if I want to wait for iPhone 14 or go with the iPhone 13 battery life is a major condition I must have as I want my phone to at least last me a day with a full charge. If you could give any advice that would help and I want to stick with the 6.1 inch screen size as that's best suited for me. Keep up the amazing content nick I love the videos!
If you can wait, wait for the 14 as even then the 13 will come down in price. But if you have to get one now I’d recommend the 13. If you can manage the extra cost the 13 Pro is the better pick.

What third party app did you use to check the battery life? I own a S9+ and my battery seems to be garbage already, i couldn't for the life of me find an app that shows me the health percentage like the iPhones do. Thanks

I’ve had the 12 Mini since it launched, I may keep it another year since their is no mini phones in the 14 lineup. I’ll admit battery life is not great but I rely much more on iPads including the iPad mini 6 preferring to save my phone for calls and camera use
bought the 12 two months ago..quite a bargain I guess consider not much of a difference with the 13. I don’t really care about the cinematic mode because I’m not really a camera guy but kinda want that battery life from 13. about the notch, I personally prefer 12’s because its thinner evetho it’s longer than 13

I keep holding back purchasing 12 due to that battery life. I don't play games on my phone, but I do use social apps extensively. I can get 13 for the same price in my country around October, so a long wait for me 😅
to be honest the battery life mostly depends on your actual experience with your current phone. If you had a 6s 7 or 8 and upgrade to the 12 you would be getting an upgrade in battery life and wouldn't notice a difference. Bug if yout upgrading from an xs,xr and 11 you might notice it
@@rvqqx my XR’s battery is already degraded after 2 years and it drains fast. It’s not how it was. Hence I’m upgrading to the 12.

I use the cinematic mode but have to turn down the blur. Love iMovie and stitching them together. But if I didn’t have it, I’d be just fine. I’m more interested in battery life. I love my 13’s battery. I unplug at 530am and plug back in at 9-10pm with 20% and can hit 8 hrs SOT. never tried the 12. (But my XR had amazing battery too.)
The funny thing is I thought that I was going to like the smaller notch design of the 13 compared to the 12. But for some reason, the older notch seems to be more pleasing to the eye than the new one. Is it just me?

How were you able to trade-in a 13 for 13 Apple rep said I could not trade my iPhone 13 Pro Max because it’s the latest model and past the 14 day exchange policy.
I'd only pick the iPhone over other phones the iPhone 13 pro max specifically because of the lidar sensor and the great battery .

I've got a 13 on the way in black. Coming from the 2020 SE. It's a great phone aside from the battery. I like the SE models but the battery makes the jump back worth it. I had the XS Max before this one.

Had my IPhone 12 since launch and I’ve had a lot of paint issues especially around the camera ring, and side rails (despite always using either a silicone/leather case) I’m not the only one, the apple boards have multiple post with users having the same issue!

I dont use any fast charging whatsoever even if its an emergency, i even bought the old iphone 7 charging adaptor instead of the recommeded fast charging adapter. Also, i dont play any games so…

@@lydiapavlidi1168 Absolutely no problems. Even after hefty social media app usage and some mediocre gaming along with nearly more than 2 hours of call time, ending the day with more than 45%. 12 is a beast of a device.
I wish they would release a ‘14 Mini PRO’ I would buy that immediately! Only reason I don’t have a mini, is because they don’t have a pro version.
The only reason I'm considering buying the regular 12 is because of the purple color and I missed out on the 12 mini.

I literally got my brand new red 128g 12 two weeks ago on boost mobile for only $250 per my upgrade. My first iPhone in 10 years. Love it so far. BATTERY TRICK no one is talking about: Take it off 5G! I noticed sup par battery life the first couple of days I was using it until I decided to “downgrade” to LTE. I have not noticed any difference in casual internet performance. I really like this phone and think right now it is a huge value, especially if you get a great deal on a new one. Great video btw. Switched from an IPOD to the green iphone 13 and I really like it. There definitely is room for mass improvement like the refresh rate but overall, its a great phone.
Room for improvement? Bruh if I was switching from an iPod the 13 would be HEAVEN for me, speaking from experience when I switched from the iPod 6 to the iPhone 7.

The only problem with the iPhone 12 is how it is priced. The entry level 64gb is too small for 2022 standards and the 128gb one is just $50 cheaper than the base 128gb iPhone 13. IF you are in need a phone right now, it makes more sense to either go spend an extra $50 for the iPhone 13 with it's better camera, battery and A15 chip, or just save money and buy the 11 which is still a great value. This is only IF you need a phone immediately. If you can wait, i suggest waiting for the iPhone 14 in September which will bring the price of the 12 and 13 down.

Your description sounds like you should get the 12 128 gb It’s battery only lasts one day, shouldn’t be a problem since you aren’t a heavy user. And 128 gb since you don’t take many photos
I personally think that the $150 are not worth it. If you're on a budget (like me), you should definitely go for the 12. There are very small differences overall and you're probably not going to notice them. Even if you have extra money, I would still recommend getting the 12 because the differences are very small and overall, the average user will not notice them. Now, if you're really concerned about the battery life, you should probably get the 13 because yes there is a battery life difference. But overall, the 13 is just not worth it in my opinion.

Not everything has to be cosmetic to be considered an “upgrade” and the slight changes the 13 series did get are in no way a better upgrade or larger upgrade than its predecessors year over year meaning it’s kinda stale regardless how you put it all it did was put the iphones more in line with android feature wise.

just bought a business Verizon package and they are giving away an i-phone 12 free, or a 13 for $5 a month for 3 years (hmmm, $210 difference) - worth it? I dont know BUT battery life and storage are two HUGE deciders for me.. I've been an android user my whole life but have always been blown away by iphone cameras performance. My wifes old iphone 6 took INCREDIBLE pics at high speed, something not even my s10 pro could come close to matching despite being how many years newer.. SO i will see how i experience the switch- holding thumbs, thanks for confirming the battery life! I was juggling ALOT whether the 13 was worth the 200 extra-

I have Galaxy 10+ and considering switching to the iPhone 13 instead of the Galaxy s22+ because of the battery life and cameras
I have the Galaxy s22 ultra and the iPhone 13 the camera is definitely better on the Galaxy it's a toss-up on regular photos it's up to preference but overall the Galaxy just does so much more stuff on camera than the iPhone can do on the ultra you can zoom in up to 30 times where it's still comes in almost like you're standing right there and it's just so versatile and in my opinion it takes better pictures now video the iPhone still probably the king but Samsung has definitely caught up to them and video real close to them sometimes it's better it just depends on the situation but I'm not a hater on either company I own them both but I would go with the Galaxy if I was you you can customize your display every day you can change icon packs the hundreds of thousands of Icon bags and the iPhone is still you can't even move a widget or a icon anywhere you want it on the screen on Android you can do whatever you want

I can only speak to the pro max models, I actually still have both the 12 pro max with 512 go & the 13 pro max with 256 gb, but the upgrade was for sure worth it to me, pro motion, huge battery difference, better display, cameras, great video

I upgraded to 12 from 8 plus and so far its been great. I can buy the 128gb 13 but i chose the 256gb iphone 12. Almost same performance and same 5nm tech soc 🤭🤭

12 Pro Max is better, you only lose software gimmicks like Photographic Styles and Cinematic mode while the cameras are literally same on (as it’s being inherited to) the 13 basically; but you gained a LiDAR sensor, a telephoto camera, bigger screen and battery. But I’d recommend 12 Pro Max only when the prices are comparable, if it’s closing near 13 Pro territory, just go with 13 Pro or Pro Max.

After moving to the 12 after an android, I'm finding the screen washed out and unable to customise to make it warmer and to pop.
So despite what the apple fans were saying about the 12 ie that's how a screen should look, you're android is just over-saturated, Apple's move to a warmer poppier screen shows that it was something they felt needed improving.
Hopefully an update to iOS (although from what I've seen so far, not ios16) in the future will allow more warmth and colour customisation.

I'm beginning to think that the 256 GB is probably the way to go with the modern cameras on iPhones. When I replaced my iPhone 13, I'll go with the 256 GB option.
Dude, you don't even need 128gb if you only take pictures and very little video.
256gb is straight up content creator 4k 60fps videos all day.
Upgraded from 12 to 13, frankly speaking apart from the battery, there is nothing much to differentiate, even the pics come out very very similar, just waste of money, if you have 12 wait for 14

Dimming happens on every iPhone I tried. In addition hard performance? On a phone? I’ve never encountered iPhone users doing more than some basic apps and games. Along with camera and messaging
