Motor Operated Valve (MOV) Gearbox Sampling

This video shows the process of using a Grease Thief MOV Gearbox sampling kit and the T-handle to take a grease sample from the worm gear surface using at Type 2 Grease Thief with stinger probe. Samples taken in this manner per ASTM D7718 and in accordance with the EPRI Effective Grease Practices guideline can either be immediately evaluated on site with the Grease Thief Mini-Lab, or sent to a laboratory for detailed analysis per ASTM D7918.
