Thought it would be cool to blend the city scenes from the original Bladerunner and 2049 together. I can never get enough of that engine rev noise you hear in the background :P
Blade Runner was the first sci fi movie to show the future, not as a bright, shiny place, but as a dark, dirty, congested mess, and if you look at how things are progressing, Ridley Scott's vision is proving to be the most accurate.
Phil K. Dick said that the future doesn’t change all at once. It contains chunks of the past. Even now, people have old furniture, cars, listen to old music, etc. it’s never ALL new.
The mix of old and new Blade Runner is quite excellent, I would suggest continuing it with many other scenes so it's not repeating so rapidly. It's really very well done.

this is just fantastic, it's a great service people do when they make thoughtful ambient like this because i can imagine it taking some patience to put together..... it is just a weird effect sometimes of playing just weird sound while you work and all this is great and matched bladerunner scenes wow thanks for translating out the atmosphere of bladerunner so we can enjoy it without the story playing 😊
I love going to shower, lighting candles, Turing out the lights and playing this. I meditate and the sounds of this cinematic worlds helps me calm down and unwind.
like it a lot, but kinda wish it had been more than just two minutes on a loop-so much other footage in both Bladerunner's to be used. would be an awesome background screen in a night club that's going for a whole cyber punk vibe. can be hard to cut out/blank known faces/characters though, so that we get just the ambience and not direct story references. and you're right ...that engine rev is sensational!!

According to the novel, they had stopped using standard nuclear power and were using "cold fusion" reactor technology by the late 20th century, like around 1995 and up, so I'm just assuming that, while it's never mentioned in the film, the movie's level of technology is the same as in Phillip K. Dick's book "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?"
wish you could make something similar to this with the scene from the original movie where deckard is examining the photograph inside his apartment. there are some cool ambient sounds throughout it. Great job!
