Hi! I really appreciate you making this video. I was also recently deferred from my dream school. I see a lot of tips online telling students to submit an additional letter of rec. Is that a thing I should do? And how would I even submit the letter?
I just got deferred from my dream college Harvard, but these tips are not letting me get discouraged and instead giving me hope! I just wanted to ask, until when do I have to submit LOCI? Till the Regular Decision deadline or I can do it after that too? They have said, "You are welcome to submit significant new information for consideration during the Regular Decision process. Updates on your activities or other achievements and an extra letter of recommendation are helpful if they might contribute substantially to your application. These optional documents or updates can be submitted via the Materials Uploader on the Applicant Portal."
got deferred from nc state :(, thought l would get in, hopefully l can make it in the regular, will use your tips to make a strong secondary letter but l actually received a worse grade in one of my classes in my first semester (strict teacher, difficult ap class) and my gpa went down from a 4.28 to a 4.21, is there any hope left
So I had a question about the deferral process, recently I applied early decision to Virginia tech. I want to go into their engineering program and I got deferred from early decision, however I got put in the early action pool instead of the standard decision pool. I have a 4.429 gpa and have plenty of challenging courses as well as extracurricular activities. Do you think that I have a good chance and does being placed in the early action pool change my outcome?
Who knows man this covid shit got the whole system whacked in the head even more than it was before. All I can say is good luck and if you get rejected but still REALLY want to go plan to transfer to it.
Deferred from your dream college? Don't be discouraged!
I got deferred from my dream school, I am pretty discouraged. :( there is only a 10% for EA deferrals to get accepted. Hoping for the best
SA did you get in?
