    Carl, you look mighty different today! :)
    All jokes aside, these PTZ cameras just keep getting better. It’s nice to see this one in action.

    I can't find a video test on the digital zoom extension in case of 1080p instead of 4k with the ptz canon 500

    Thank you for the great review - is it possible to record internally to the microSD in 4K while outputting to the 3G-SDI, so that you can record higher quality ISOs? And further to that, you mention the log look - can you output a LUT on the physical outs while recording log to the microSD? I'm looking to come into your London office to compare this and the N300's, having been let down by the image quality on some of the BirdDogs - All the best, Theo

    Really nice review. It should be pointed out, however, that although the camera does not feature 12G SDI (as you mentioned several times), it *can* output 4K from the HDMI port. Most professionals don't like using HDMI for production, but since PTZ cameras are typically set up close to a switcher, it's less of an issue than cameras that need long cable runs. HDMI can of course also be converted at the source, so even for long runs it's not a dealbreaker. Native 12G would absolutely be preferred, but I feel like this video was a little misleading in implying that it can't output 4K video live. It can, just not from the SDI port.

      Wow, this makes it useless for me.

      The HDMI output is only up to 25p or 30P rather than the 50p or 60p which is a limitation of course. But this is still the lowest cost 1" sensor PTZ on the market and it has some unique features like XLR input. I love the Panasonic UE-100 and UE-150 cameras and they are the only choice for a 12G SDI workflow at present. Richard

    Who would use this camera and what would be the most common use for it?

    • @ProAVTV
      @ProAVTV  3 роки тому +4

      These are used for a huge variety of projects, from filming stage and gigs to conferences and reality TV shows. They still need a camera operator, but one camera person can control multiple cameras.

      We use them in live events all the time. Instead of hiring 5 camera operators, we can hire just 2 and supplement other shots with PTZ (using only one operator/controller). And unlike most other PTZ cameras, this one actually has a usable picture to match our other high-end log-based cameras as well as decent enough motion to actually make on air moves (most other PTZ cameras are clunky, and really are only useful for framing and then cutting to their shots). They have tremendous use case potential in a world where people are capturing/streaming all sorts of events these days and budgets are aggressive.

    We knew your products are excellent. We wish to have another one ASAP!
    But we would like to remind one of your staff named Mr. Goro Kurokawa, the sales manager in the NYK office who did not take care of his father as normal. Therefore, Mr. Kurokawa, 78 old, is in a very critical situation now. We are a group of 28 Japanese men and women to take care of him since 2016 because it is very difficult for him to live without his son's support as usual. Anyway, we knew everything about his family problem and we sent many many e-mails to compromise him, but no reply at all. Pls kindly send this message to him and remind him strongly to help his father asap so that he will spend his remaining life as normal and usual!!
    Regards, we knew it is very shameful to send the above, pls do not give him any excuse at all TKS! Supporters of Mr. Koichi Kurokawa

    A shame that the camera can't target track. Particularly where you have a presenter on stage who walks around.

    How do you record video from this camera?

    • @ProAVTV
      @ProAVTV  3 роки тому +2

      PTZ cameras as a whole are normally recorded externally or normally being run into a vision mixer for multi camera mixing.

      OK thanks for the info. So how do you record externally on the n500?

    • @binba9
      @binba9 2 роки тому +2

      @@sheldonnolt6426 😅 You don't. You ISO its feed from your switcher, and record it to e.g. a BMD HyperDeck or Atomos Ninja.

    What are people buying these to use for? Nobody's using these types for CCTV any longer, is it just reality TV?
