  • In this video, Liam Kelly, Forestry Adviser with Teagasc discusses how best to organise timber harvesting operations in ash dieback-infected plantations.
    He also highlights important health and safety considerations when harvesting dead or dying ash trees.
    This video is part of a series produced by the Forestry Development Department of Teagasc. The purpose of this series is to provide objective advice to forest owners whose ash plantations have been affected by ash dieback and the important factors that need to be considered when removing the infected ash trees and replaced with alternative tree species.
    This series also provides an overview of the important research work that is being carried out by Teagasc investigating solutions to the ash dieback fungal disease.
