Hi!! 🥰 So I’m using the Apres prep product to chemically etch the tip for better adhesion! Gel likes to stick to a rough surface better than a smooth one (sometimes gel will peel if things are too smooth), so I chemically etch to make sure things stay put! I top coat the underside to cap in the gel I’ve used to adhere the tips. The gel is sticky and I don’t want anything getting under the nail & getting stuck/trapped, so I use a non wipe top coat to prevent that. Hope this helps 🤗

More recently, I’ve also heard of nail techs having issues with gel polish peeling off without applying a base coat, which I think may be a result of Apres making changes to the quality of their products
I saw another nail artist say they don’t use primer, and I use primer and every once in a blue moon someone will tell me their nails didn’t last so long, and I’ve always wondered if it was the primer. Do you see any difference in retention without primer? Thinking of not using it anymore. Thank you!
I’ve almost never used primer so I can’t say to be honest, but I just wipe down with alcohol and my nails have really good retention (aside from those that get bitten off 😂)
How do you like your TGB Efile? I’m looking at buying a new portable efile and haven’t decided yet. Love your channel! In my city I’m one of 3 licensed techs who do builder gel. There are no in person classes on gel here so it’s good to see how others work online. 💕✨
Tbh I don’t love it!! It works better than the old one I had, but the battery dies far too fast and you can’t use it while it’s plugged in. Plus it’s way faster than my last one so I feel like the first speed isn’t even slow enough sometimes!! Omg I totally get that! I learned so much from watching videos of others on here to compare technique 🥰
Hi, thank you for your video! i saw the product you linked product for TGB All in One BIAB, but i don't understand what kind of product that is that makes it so the chrome doesn't stick to it?
So the extend gel used to apply the nails is sticky, so I like to use top coat to cap that in so lint and stuff doesn’t get stuck under there. I use the etching product because gel prefers to stick to rough surfaces rather than smooth plastic like surfaces, so it etches the surface and the topcoat adheres better with less chance of it peeling off 🤗

Hi!! Tbh I’m not entirely sure 😅 I’ve tested other products in the same way and they don’t work as good as the BIAB!!
