And when I say DJ, I mean we used to load up the car with that big ass box that had the turntables, the massive speakers and like 10 crates of records. Not like today where you pretend to DJ pressing buttons. Back then mixing took skill and rhythm. There weren't programs that synced the songs when you were mixing. And if you fucked up, everyone knew lol. Man I miss those days. Take me back, please!

My Dad is still alive but he gave away the Expedition as he was having way too many problems with it. Back in those days, getting into a club was the best thing that could happen to you on a Friday or Saturday night. Once you were in and heard the music booming, it made you hype as hell. Hopefully you already had a buzz cause drinks were expensive. You get on the dance floor and look for that one girl that looked better than the rest, you made your move towards her. Hopefully you start talking over the loud ass music. I remember the last song of the night right before they closed was a slow jam. Trying to get her and her friends to hang out after the club with you and your boys. Those were the best days ever. Wish I could go back and do it again for a weekend. I was blown away when I heard this again. It took me right back to being 14 and,15 getting ready to go out. Riding down Fulton ave. Then going to this one bar it was called "another round" in Cicero. To young to get in so my friend and I would wait outside till it closed. Best times. Love this music. Dj rude boy!!!

Back in those days, getting into a club was the best thing that could happen to you on a Friday or Saturday night. Once you were in and heard the music booming, it made you hype as hell. Hopefully you already had a buzz cause drinks were expensive. You get on the dance floor and look for that one girl that looked better than the rest, you made your move towards her. Hopefully you start talking over the loud ass music. I remember the last song of the night right before they closed was a slow jam. Trying to get her and her friends to hang out after the club with you and your boys. Those were the best days ever. Wish I could go back and do it again for a weekend. You made memories to look back on. So glad and fortunate to have been a part of that era. Freestyle music always brings me back. PEACE TO ALL MY BORICUAS who held it down. Oh my this music brings back so many memories. We played so many of these songs at our wedding and used to have dance offs between other city girls at the clubs. Had so much fun dancing to this. We'd hire a dj, clear out a bedroom and turn it into the dance room.and play this music way into the night. Those were the days. So glad I found this playlist.

I DJed in clubs in the deep south in Louisiana, Mississippi Alabama, and Florida from the early '80s through the '90s and this mix virtually covers that history of great freestyle. these tracks always packed my dance floor Great memories!
There are some that don't know that, freestyle ruled the airwaves in the 80's & some of the 90's. My god 🤔 1018, studio 54, Roxy's, red parrot, Roseland.......I could on 🤔🤔 Those were the days of going from one to the other in one night 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
