    I will check that out. Sounds absolutely fascinating. I came upon his name doing genealogy research into our significant & previously unknown Scottish heritage. I can’t wait to read. Thank you. 🌹

    •The Dal Riatans of Ireland originated in Kerry, Munster, later moving to Ulster. They were descendants of the Erainn/Iverni (Irish).
    •Ireland was known as Scotia first, it was called Scotia major, scotland was known as Scotia minor, possibly after the conquest of part of britain by Irish king Fergus the Great.
    •High king Brian Boru, who defeated the Danes & Norse militarily in 1014.. stripping them of power, was known as "Imperator Scottorum" meaning Emperor of the Irish.
    •The Irish king oengus olmucaid conquered Scotland - Annals of the four masters.
    •Picts were half Irish - english monk Bede.

    •The Scoti were Irishmen, the scots were not separate to the Irish.
    •The Old English "scottas" meant: Inhabitants of Ireland, Irishmen.
    •Scota, the mother of the Irish race, is buried in Kerry in the southwest of Ireland.
    •Scotland is named after Irish conquerors and colonists.
    •Almost all Scotland was speaking middle Irish until the 14th century, directly because of the Irish conquest of northern Britain.

    His name was Áedán and it is pronounced (ay-dawn).
