question i have is both external antennas appear to be 2.4 surly when using 868mhz this would be risking damage to the radio due to reflected power? Would the r9 standard antenna not be better?
Does the D16 mode work with old FW or do you have to update the Rx to the latest FW available from Frsky? Also, does the access 900 MHz mode work with the old access R9 receiver?
@@tdogrc Thanks for the response, debating if I should get the X20 Pro and change over 60 models from X9D+ to the newer stuff. The only thing holding me back is having to pull all the Rx out of the aircrafts for updating. First World problems. lol
@@madsloper my advice would be go for it and then get yourself a Radiomaster 4 in 1 module for the x20 then you can continue using your old receivers. 👍🏻
@@tdogrc Excellent idea, I have a Radio master TX16s with OpenTx but hate the scroll wheel and the size of the radio. I guess what I'm looking for is something that's going to be around for ten years and not get abandoned like OpenTx had happen. I like the touch screen option along with buttons, I know this could have been added to the TX16s with EdgeTX but I just didn't have the desire to covert everything. Now I'll be forced to learn Ethos and still have the option to use the old D16 with the module. Love it!
@@tdogrc I received my X20 Pro radio and the Radio master 4in1 doesn't fit due to the bay has a raised edge which prevents the alignment of the pins. Just a heads up. Love the radio craftsmanship, first flight will be later today. :)
That cube you said it's paper weight. Now you said it have a good weight lol. I think I'm going to get this radio except one thing i don't like is Ethos. I rather have Edgetx. But anyway's I do want to get it and if i do hope it's the limited edition so I get the cube lol.
@@tdogrc I love edgetx because people share codes and share model also the edgetx companion simulation. Which I don't really use. People would setup their model and simulate before passing the file to the radio. But ethos is better then Futaba, Spektrum and some other radio manufacture. I have Frsky x10 express with latest Edgetx love it. How long is Frsky going to make limited edition?
Jeez wish you had'nt done this...now Im lusting after one of these.
lol. Treat yourself for the new year 😉
This controller reminds me of a F1 steering wheel! I need one! Probably won't use it to its full potential, but I'll look good holding it lol
@@arowe231 you’re absolutely right it does! 👍🏻

Not sure. But remember the antennas are also built in, so you don’t have to use external if you don’t want to. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

You have to update to latest firmware. Not sure about R9 I’m afraid. Cheers

What's the difference between TD mode and TD Pro mode in the RF protocol setup menu choices?
Might be wrong but I think it’s for the TD Pro higher end modules that use triple frequency. Kind of like the power box modules you can get. Cheers

Thank you! Same to you too 👍🏻

I’ve used edge TX and open TX and I definitely think Ethos is the nicest to use. Maybe not quite as flexible as Edge but it’s very nice 👌🏻. Cheers

Are they easy to change to Mode 1?
I’m not sure to be honest 👍🏻
No stock anywhere, where did you get yours?
Hobbyrc.co.uk it’s a special order, I don’t think many places have them actually in stock. Cheers
This really doesn't answer the big question tho. Is it worth double the S? For most ppl the only real difference is going to be the 2 extra trims.
Probably not. But it certainly is very nice 👌🏻

Shame the whole section using the screen & menus was out of focus and weird colours.
@@HarryBunnGRVOTV sorry about that but thanks for watching 👍🏻
