congratulations on beating the moonlord! you can now make a bottomless shimmer bucket, allowing you to bring the liquid anywhere in your world
That will be very useful in this world
@@a_random_xenomorph mainly because you can't find any easily
@@shreksarmy3093 exactly
With this item, its so bottomless you could even make a world filled with shimmer! Wait..
Imagine the moon lord filling this whole world with shimmer and laughing in sat AM mockery that the only way to fix it is to beat him.
10:14
Watching you painstakingly drain all of that shimmer, only for the map to reveal that you were only *maybe* a third of the way done, was like that cartoon gag of watching a character exhaust themselves while climbing the stairs and then zooming out to see that they've only climbed three steps.
That's a good gag, especially with copious use of fade cuts to create the impression that a lot of time has passed. Cue another character saying something like, "It hasn't even been 10 seconds!" Especially if the actual run time of that sequence actually is less than 10 seconds.
@@Greywander87family guy ahh
15:09 The companion cube Will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak :)
15:08 When you're in darkness, the companion cube will sometimes "stab" the player for 1 damage, referring to GladOs in portal 2 saying something like "The weighted compainion cube will not threaten to stab you"
I'm pretty sure it's in portal 1 but I could be wrong
23:09 Things generally do tend to die quickly when you stick a bunch of spears in them.
True
Knew that by experience.
I think theres something more i need to understand from this phrase.
Pro tip:
If you're fighting Lunatic Cultist during the night and haven't brought a Hunter Potion, the one kind of fitting more with the lighting will be the correct one. In this video it's always the darker cultist being correct.
Looking at the cultist's eyes is another way
basically, the clones aren't affected by background lighting
Yeah I always do that it's so much easier than the eyes
that's also in every world
Honestly I didn't even know the hunter potion didn't affect the clones, I always go at night since I thought that was the way to do it lmao
I like how the one playthrough where they patch jungle temple cheese is the one where you need cheese the most.
No they kept the actuator cheese they just made it so you cant see the wires in the temple so that you cant remove them all with the grand design. The actuators were there he just cant see them
WoS when fighting Lunatic cultist: always checks him by color
Also WoS when the color is different: *_"go for the eyes"_*
now with the rod of harmony a “no WASD” playthrough would be cool
i'm pretty sure that this has already been done, not only in vanilla, but also in calamity. hooks can be quite poweful if you know how to use them for mobility
Fun fact: the wires and actuators placed were still there, but you couldn't see them. That wasn't re-logic patching the actuator cheese, but they were instead patching the grand design wire cutter disarm all traps cheese.
(Edit): I realized that they patched both cheeses, I only figured out the actuator patch recently.
Oh so you can still just actuate straight into the golem room? Honestly I would have patched that first lol
@@chrisj4288 problem is, sometimes the temple generation bugs out and it becomes impossible to reach the golem chamber, so there needs to be a way to "cheese" your way to the chamber.
@@general.catallion_8054 hmm yeah that's a gen bug that they should fix but you *could* solve that just fine with tedit, and I've never run into that so it must be very unlikely
@@chrisj4288 tell that to mobile players
@@argonigous6580 okay fair point
12:05 couldn't have said it better my self, wand of sparking
Also good news for any challenge that goes past moon lord:
After moonlord the pillars only take 50 kills for the shield to lower
Also the only other playthrough that took longer than 20 hours was the one which you really shouldn't have even attempted ( no Es run )
personally, i dont think re-logic should patch the shimmer reforging
it's free, but it takes much more time than reforging with the tinkerer. i think it's balanced this way
@ehabaayash9521 not sure why that's interesting but thanks for letting me know i guess
I wouldn't worry about it, that idiot pasted that into every single comment
the solar eclipse that spawned just before plantera gave me an idea for a myth, if you spawn an event that changes its loot after you defeat a boss, what would happen if you defeat the boss while the event it going? sorry if this has already been suggested
It has already been done. He tested it with a solar eclipse and reaper spawns after he killed all the mechs. Sure enough, after the bosses died, reapers started spawning
@@millennialking8409 He's talking about loot, not enemies.
@@A_pers0n I imagine it works the same, I can't see any reason it'd be different.
@@patrickmorrey8722 Me too, but i'm open to being proven wrong.
@@A_pers0n since {event} is still happening, but a {if_destroyed} command goes off, it changes the {if_destroyed} then {loot_table_2}
And the enemy starts dropping the drops it should.
i like how he mentioned wanting a sun stone on a world that is always night time and doesn't comment on why
He had all the other parts to combine it with
Yeah, I just assumed it was for the celestial stone (although I'm not sure how werewolves would work in that world)
Wand of Sparking rolls WORST jungle temple imaginable, asked to leave terraria 😳🤯💯💯
What happens next will shock you
@@tempestthegoat In The Next Episode!
You won't BELIEVE what happens at 13:39!!!
@@ChristainGuyOfAction he died?
@@Zalimo4733 i cant believe it!!!

@@ehabaayash9521 shut up
Oh man, if a Wand of Sparking vid takes a little while to make, you know shit hits the fan somewhere.
Proud of Wand for graduating to Expert Mode.
Regular EoC isn't ever quite the same after Expert EoC. Makes early game a lot more interesting.
i think SoC spoiled him
@@gassug2 How so?
@@Sabagegah i'm just saying that, in his previous playthroughs, he comments on certain bosses being more difficult without SoC (namely the twins and plantera), despite the fact that he's beaten both without SoC before
29 hours is still about my best time for a normal master mode playthrough
So the world had about a day and a quarter of playtime, all in all? That’s long, but even so, it’s surprisingly not “forever long”- I can’t remember which play through of yours it was that took roughly half an eon (or at least long enough for fossilization to occur), though I think it was the no e’s play through? Either way, a surprisingly reasonable (in relative terms) time frame! Hopefully editing down all the footage wasn’t too painful. Anyhow! Excellent work, I admire the dedication, and this has been one of my favorite Terraria series of yours for quite some time :D thank you for all that you do, and fare thee well
15:31 "His hands can't be intrerupted anymore"
The boss was such a pushover I never noticed it does this now
This looks like it’s gonna be an awesome video, thanks for making all of our days more interesting!
Truly one of the jungle temples of all time
Fantastic run! The temple excavation shortcuts were cool and probably the reason why it went faster than expected.
I'm actually kind of disappointed this is over, I really enjoyed this one
Terraria Challenge Idea: Terraria but the whole world has as much friction as the Frozen Slime Block, which is 0.
15:09 it was the companion cube i think
an idea that i had that isn't as crazy as the rest of the ones you've had lately is co-op with deadbug, but you both have pvp on so you have to worry about killing each other during bosses.
Love this series! Keep up the good content (and grind)!
You had golem troubles like me in my playthrough I just did to get all the achievements, difference being the kind of problem. I was playing master mode and the Golem "arena" was just a long corridor that Golem's jumps easily cleared the ceiling of. I had to bait him out of the temple into my Plantera arena in the end 🤣. Regardless I had a blast watching this series and am eagerly anticipating your next series!
You know, lately I've been thinking about what you had to do in this world that took forever, and I somehow didn't consider the temple
I think the True Night's Edge projectile factors in character inertia, so you just have to adjust further back depending on which way you're moving.
this was a nice mini-series, nice work Sparking
I’ve been waiting for this! It’s an amazing series.
congrats and great videos! keep up the great work!
would like to that playthrough
It only took me this long to realize the shimmer in this context is a liquid wallmaster booby trap.
Loved how unique this challenge. So Lava world, dark world, water world, shimmer world, what comes next? I personally wouldn't mind another wheel of pain. You always find fun gimmicks.
Absolute cozy-teir content, thank you so much.
19:05 You can also tell by the shading of the cultist, the brighter ones are fake and the darker one is the real cultist
This was a really wacky and entertaining series. Shimmer is such a strange but also kind of memey liquid. Also 12:16 yeah new Terra Blade, though nerfed, is still absolutely broken. Literally used offense beetle armor + menacing and it carried me through moon lord Xd
thanks for the content :) I look forward to whatever's next
ur probably my fav letsplay terraria youtuber to watch ( i still want to see u finish the skyblock ) but good job keep up !
Impecable muaic selection as always.
You deserve more than this, the pain you go through is not equal to the subscriber count, but atleast you just got 1 more :D
Perhaps via a combination of the trick you used at the start of temple infiltration (filling shimmer with blocks then rejoining world), hoiking or placement range extensions to place the tiles and scarab bombs to remove the tiles, you could drain the golem chamber directly and drop in from top? perhaps even placing liquids inside the shimmer directly, if that's possible, to create blocks without needing to rejoin the world to empty them of liquid. In general I think the temple provides a set of limitations that could have some cool additional solutions, if you find that interests you enough to revisit outside of this series.
Aww I'll miss this. Thank you for the entertainment! 🙃
Ggs on this run! Great to watch, but definitely not one I'll be doing myself lol
Just a wonderful challenge series, thank you ^v^ ❤
I love the unique series you come up with, but to be honest I think I need me some more wheel of death lol
Lavashark normally:noOOOOOOooOoOOO you need to find water or you can't use me
Lavashark in this playthrough: *ANGRY SWIMMING IN SHIMMER NOISES
Huurm. Challenge idea! You've done a world of lava, a world of shimmer, and all the other liquids...now...how about all at once?! Water, lava, honey, and shimmerd distributed with no rhyme or reason, and on the Getfixed seed?
A Test of all your collected knowledge. It'll give you reason to spec builds for surviving the various atrocities all while Ferrari's goes APE.
good job, that was a great serie
Such a great play through, I’m sad it’s over
Here to see my favourite series!
Damn. That was my favorite playthrough of yours.
This was a really fun and unique challenge!
This was so entertaining to watch
the moment they announced shimmer I was anticipating this series and it did not disappoint
It’s been a great series ngl
Dude has to have some of the most based music tastes I've seen in a youtube video B)
Wasn't expecting to get shot back to my childhood with those Spirit Track tunes
Pretty sure jungle could be done easier ! unlimited lava bucket a some place, and gravity block at other. But it was incredibly fun to watch ! Hype for the next playthrough tho !
this was entirely expert mode, so good job on defeating the moon lord!!
the shining? naw, only thing we got is the shimmering
this is great and you should make a playthrough where you get the best mage gear and you can only use wands staffs and spell books kinda like where you craft the zenith but with magic
and you cant use living things ex: crystal serpent
About the mimics - i found with the hell start that a base in hell ends up producing a massive amount of mimics during a bloodmoon, enough in fact that the bloodmoon fought in hell is the most profitable event for me even after reaching pumpkin/frost moon events, cos i can afk the monsters easy and superfast with my teleporter systems. Easily killing 20-30 mimics a night sometimes and getting 15-20 platinum per night. Not much good loot which at first was annoying until i realised that the lack of good loot was a good thing - trash everything that doesnt stack cos it's value is nothing compared to the about 50-80 gold per mimic. Sooooo many pennys.
Weird world idea, have a world split into fourths with all the liquids separated in each section
That is evil, I like it.
never found a video this early, thats cool
My first expert mode play through when i still sucked at the game was 15 hours. The fact that you can do THIS in double that is incredible
Great job!
Tip for the lunatic cultist: the real cultist is affected by lighting while the fakes are not, so if one of the cultist is a different shade than that will be the real one
"Hopefully we can get this done in one eclipse, you only need one broken hero sword now."
*cries in 5 EoC before finally getting a single sword during second eclipse*
19:02 A tip. The actual Cultist is affected by the lightning in the area. The fakes are well lit.
Tip for true nights edge, it follows the movement of your screen
I love this series
15:07 maybe the companion cube wanted to stab you in complete darkness before you entered the room, and it carried over until you de--shimmered?
Now you gotta do a Master mode Zenith Seed playthrough.
Was not expecting music from the best Legend of Zelda, but I'll gladly accept it
Love this channel.
15:08 it was the companion cube!
Cultist tip. If he doesn’t have clones yet, then if you’re on his left when summoning the real one is always bottom right, and if you’re on the right the real one is always top
6:45 Hoiking through the temple door still works
You can now say you are an expert on the physics of shimmer.
15:11 might be the companion cube hitting you because you were in temporary darkness
2 am wand of sparking upload on top
canadien, you should try to put background walls in your arena, since spider summons can climb them and increase their effectiveness massively
You know the real cultist is much darker for whatever reason, so you can tell who to hit.
15:12 pretty sure that's a feature of the companion cube, in complete darkness it starts to kill you
15:09 I think the box friend thing hit you
Here's a run idea;
Terraria, but you have to kill bosses with certain random weapons.
Forces varied playstyles, and keeps the fights interesting.
an idea I have for another playthrough: Terraria, but your only movement methods are wings, hooks, the portal gun, and Rod of Harmony (if you want more of a challenge, Rod of Discord). you start with the Rod of Harmony and portal gun, but you cannot walk, go up or down ropes, or fall through platforms. I'm currently doing this challenge myself, and it's pretty fun, although some bosses require a lot more strategy than before. I definitely recommend it.
No WASD challenges have been done several times before, by several different people (Shyguymask, CrabBar, and GP, off the top of my head)
@@blunderbus2695 that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be fun to watch Wand of Sparking do it.
Love the use of tower of droplets for a long, horrible slog through an endless dungeon that isn't in any way, shape, or form any fun at all. Very fitting.
Fun Fact: The Fake Lunatic Cultists are always lit at fullbright while the real one is always affected by the ambient lack of lighting.
I want to see what a world full of water would look like, also you can use accessories to extend breath but the celestial shell and it's upgrades are banned because you are immune to drowning.
A cool idea for a playthrough might be every night is a blood moon and every morning is a solar eclipse
I had an idea of getting the infinite water bucket and using it to solidify the shimmer then mining it. That could've worked for the temple
When fighting at night it's very easy to spot the real cultist because he's the only one that's dark - the rest, being effectively projectiles, aren't affected by light. Honestly surprised you didn't spot that yet, assuming you always use hunter potion and are too focused at looking at the eyes when not.
You know what you should have said? Welcome back to our world composed mostly of pepto bismol. Just to be funny.
I'm not gonna lie, when I heard the first second of audio in this video I said out loud "it would be so awesome"
Maybe the dry rocket from cyborg and grenade launcher could save some time?
When it comes to contact with water or lava, shimmer i consumes a lot more of the other liquid to do create blocks and since it moves so much faster it does weird stuff
4:15 These words have never been said before
