She didn’t want to be known as Henry’s whore like her sister, and have her reputation shattered to the point that no one would marry her. And so Catherine had to endure a humiliating divorce on the grounds that their marriage was not valid due to her not being a virgin when they wed, and was separated from Mary. Anne was hated from the start by nearly everyone in the court and only had a few supporters. After Elizabeth and the first miscarriage, Anne felt the pressure full on to have a son and knew that her third pregnancy was her last chance. After the second miscarriage she knew that her time as Queen was near it’s end and her priority was Elizabeth’s safety. Henry tricked himself into believing the rumors of her infidelity, but I believe deep down that he knew she was innocent. But he didn’t care and just wanted her gone so he could marry Jane.

I understand she had been sexually abused since childhood, but that is no excuse for cheating. I also understand that a Queen committing adultery put the line of succession at risk and was considered treason, which was punishable by death in their time. She was too young for Henry, too young to be Queen, and should never have been thrown in his path. She knew what was expected of her as his wife and Queen, though she might not have fully understood everything, and she knew what happened to her cousin Anne. Yet she still had an affair and didn’t expect to get caught, which was stupid and naive on her part.

Man, this song takes a whole other turn when you find out that Jane refused to fight against Henry basically out of a "Fuck you, I'm not going to give you an excuse to get rid of me". She didn't fight him in the public eye the way Catherine or Anne did, it was in private whenever she did fight with him (mostly to get him to recognise his other children, namely Mary, as legitimate). She became the stone that she knew could survive him as a wife. And she died before she could really do much more to help anyone.
While people label this song as boring, this one stands out beautifully. While the other five sung their rants towards Henry, Jane here sings about the love she has for him and her son from her heart. She was aware that Henry was not the best, but still loves him unconditionally even the tests he throws her way. And that is beautiful~ I aspire to be like her and Eliza as a woman and a wife.
This is so bittersweet... Sad because she didn't get to see her son grow up and also because he didn't live that long, but it's also sweet as they're most likely together now

I'm so glad that someone made another animatic of Jane's song. I really wanted to see more animatics of Heart of Stone but alas it's underrated as heck (along with No Way).
I wasn't a fan of Jane's song when I first heard it but it started to grow on me once I listened it the 2nd time. So much emotions and just.... She deserves so much more (actually all the queens deserve so much more)

Man, this song takes a whole other turn when you find out that Jane refused to fight against Henry basically out of a "Fuck you, I'm not going to give you an excuse to get rid of me". She didn't fight him in the public eye the way Catherine or Anne did, it was in private whenever she did fight with him (mostly to get him to recognise his other children, namely Mary, as legitimate).
She became the stone that she knew could survive him as a wife. And she died before she could really do much more to help anyone.
This song reminds me of the parents of the Disney princesses/princes that Disney loves to kill off.

While the other five sung their rants towards Henry, Jane here sings about the love she has for him and her son from her heart. Can we actually talk about how empowering this song is? Like after anxiety attacks and depressed states this song always makes me feel better. Not only that, but Jane was such a strong queen and I'm proud of all of them.
I adore your art style. So gorgeous. So much expression. A lot of artists use vague outlines and only move character’s mouths or general body. You move the whole body so it almost looks like someone acted it out. Incredibly amazing, to be honest. I watch these over and over.
