the first deck i ever owned 20 years ago (bought it the year after release, on sale) that "60 x 4" pushed the four MB Quart Discus 5x7/6x8 i had on it pretty damn good. Loved that BBE processing! but only at level 1, level 2 changed it to much. IIRC the V-Drive bumped the voltage up internally to 17v for the built in amp. Elon needs to buy Alpine and bring back the green chicklets!!!
Just dug one of these out of a closet, totally forgot i had it. Those were the "nice" alpine's back in the day. They put out 27w rms when wired properly. That stereo there sounds better than almost anything you can buy nowadays. The newer alpine stuff puts out much less than that. You could also plug a cord into the ai net port to use as an aux in. I'm going to put it back in my car haha
That v-drive with the boosted rail voltage (did it internally up to 17v IIRC) made the MB Quart Discus 6x8's i used to have sound pretty damned good! I used the Ai-Net aux in adapter for a stand alone sirius vehicle kit
I am alpine man I love all that old school stereos beter than that newoanes off course single din and if u put on that bus inet a blutohot adapter u dint need nothing also
@@markwentz8332 I just scored a 4 piece at of MB Quarts all with their own detached cross overs in very good shape. I have the 7875 and for some reason it doesn't work when it's cold outside, do you know what might cause that?
This is a sweet deck but would’ve been better if it was a 4volt in the front and rear outputs
It does bro he just forgot to mention it
@@pimbysdesertcustombuildz3944 no it doesnt... bro. Only 2v for front and rear.
You need the 7878 for 4v preouts i have the 7868 absolute killer deck best ever
Why didn't you show the tilt function for the face. That's one of the best things about this deck.
