No it's not about drugs. For anyone that's new to CCR, John Fogerty wrote this song for his three year old son as an introduction to rock and roll. It was based off a Doctor Seuss book, "Think I saw it on Mulberry Street.

This is the best song to listen to while driving home from the doctors, pounding on the roof of your car while smoking a joint and drinking a beer. Only to have the joint fall on your lap so you have to pour that beer on yourself and in the process crash your car head on into a dumpster all while being followed by a private investigator.

Professor Mercury Starting in the sixties, with our modern conception of what constitutes great pop music, there has been a proliferation of both great music and terrible music which has never really slowed down. There's just as much great music being made now as there was in the 60s, not much of it tops the Billboard charts, that's all. Same is true for the eighties, and most of the nineties, and even parts of the sixties. We only remember the great music because great art endures. The first half of the sixties was full of terrible novelty songs and souless folkies, but nobody remembers those, they remember Creedence.

Love CCR. This song is such a happy little song. Just makes ya feel better on a shit-ass day. My mother always said she played CCR all the time while she was pregnant with me and that's why I love them. God rest her soul coming on 2 years in another month, but she was right. I play this on a loop all the time and just feel better 👍
