Professor Mercury Starting in the sixties, with our modern conception of what constitutes great pop music, there has been a proliferation of both great music and terrible music which has never really slowed down. There's just as much great music being made now as there was in the 60s, not much of it tops the Billboard charts, that's all. Same is true for the eighties, and most of the nineties, and even parts of the sixties. We only remember the great music because great art endures. The first half of the sixties was full of terrible novelty songs and souless folkies, but nobody remembers those, they remember Creedence.

All songs by CCR million times better than todays music
Amen my brother.
This is the best song to listen to while driving home from the doctors, pounding on the roof of your car while smoking a joint and drinking a beer. Only to have the joint fall on your lap so you have to pour that beer on yourself and in the process crash your car head on into a dumpster all while being followed by a private investigator.
Shane Andrew Beard That's just like, your opinion man
Derek Kudjer I hate it when that happens !!
That's why I don't pound on the roof...
Just stay away from his lady friend man!

Just got home from Illinois locked the front door oh boy, nobody coming through the front and they're having a ball in the backyard :-) I'm having a ball with all these messages and I'm clean & sober for 24-1/2 years. HalfEatenMedia I love this song, but what I find hilarious is this video is just the happiest and most positive song you'll ever hear, but the comment section is filled with negative comments. Can anyone say ironic? XD

Sucks that my Uncle used it for the song at his funeral. Every time I hear it it's with a big smile on my face and tears running down it.
Just got home from my moms funeral and this is the perfect tune/ video to cheer me up some. They are so relaxed, happy and alive....
Simply impossible to imagine my 60s without CCR, the Beatles, the Kinks, the Stones, the Who and so many other wonderful bands and musicians.
I am a proud 69 years old grandma and when my grankids visit me I play Crendence CR all the time. Let them listen to any other music at their house.
I love this. Literally listening to this with tears of happiness remembering my beautiful grandma who's with us in spirit playing these songs throughout my childhood ❤

Present and accounted for
Don’t think enough people appreciate this lyric enough ...”bother me tomorrow, today I found no sorrow” This is so many levels deep for such a seemingly simplistic song on the surface.
I think its "bother me tomorrow, today I'll buy no sorrow."
«Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon...» What is it talking about?😀
@@barnichua The "magic spoon" refers to heroine use and it sending you to another place (limbo?), mentally. "Today, I'll buy no sorrow" refers to not buying heroine.
@@v.e.7236 I thought it actually was about heroin, though I think the second sentence means something like «I won't listen to your dramas» because of being high and unconcerned. Regards

Some blues, country, and 1950s rock influences are here, and it makes this song so good. Creedence Clearwater Revival are a really great band. It's nice to hear such happy music in these times. Cheers! ✌️

Im a trucker. After 5 or 15 days away from home, i listen to this song to help me relax.
our world can not function without the hard work and long hours that our truckers drive and being away from home. The 60s are the best decade for music ever. Enough said.

The dark poet Fine then
63-89
Professor Mercury Starting in the sixties, with our modern conception of what constitutes great pop music, there has been a proliferation of both great music and terrible music which has never really slowed down. There's just as much great music being made now as there was in the 60s, not much of it tops the Billboard charts, that's all. Same is true for the eighties, and most of the nineties, and even parts of the sixties. We only remember the great music because great art endures. The first half of the sixties was full of terrible novelty songs and souless folkies, but nobody remembers those, they remember Creedence.
Love the casual setting they have in the video. They all look like a group of friends just having fun an afternoon. Love this song.
Tuka se ginda
Which is ironic considering the tensions that were brewing within the band at the time and which eventually led to them splitting up.
How do you know its a afternoon if the video is black and white?
+Nuno Azenha Zwippie92 did not say it was in the afternoon. Clearly, it says "They look like"....... Sort of like, your comment makes you look like a moron but you may not be, maybe you just have a poor grasp of the English language which does not mean you are a moron.
Nuno Azenha There's a color version but the Channel upload it Black and white
Absolutely love this video. They don't make music like this anymore. Made with heart and soul. Love the facial expressions and everything. Wish there were more like it
Amen
