Dr. Bronner's website say's that using vinegar and their soap (or any castile) together cancels each other out making it not effective or a goopy mess. Have you ever ran across this problem or believe it to be true? Just wondering because I have a lot of DIY cleaning recipes that call for both. Also, when you say all-purpose does that mean all surfaces or should there be cautions used, like vinegar on granite or marble? Thank you :-) P.s. Love all your ideas!
I've NEVER had that problem (I think they probably just want you to use more of their product and less of others), and yes ... All-Purpose is ALL purpose!!
Yes, I had the problem using vinegar and castile soap together. I had the goopy mixture. Maybe it's about the proportions?... I stopped mixing them since then.
I gooped as well. It's because of the proportions in this recipe that it doesn't do it immediately. Vinegar, being an acid, un-saponifies the soap. Basically breaking the soap back down
If you want to use a dr bronners 'soap' with vinegar, use Sal Suds. Castile is better for health/beauty, Sal is better for cleaning. In my home at least!
The kid's are super cute an awesome cleaners. I was born with Cystic Fibrosis as well. I'm 37 years old and my household made the switch to natural cleaner's as well. I have noticed the difference and I don't have to wear a gas mask looking thing to clean my house. My heart goes to your family, Cystic Fibrosis is easy.
Are your children getting better? Here is a solution that I think will help HEAL your kids.... Buy entirely Green Bananas as they sell them in Latin Supermarkets (Green Bananas are boiled)...Let them RIPEN on your table, after several days, these Bananas are NEVER gassed, as most Yellow even Organically grown Yellow Bananas are gassed, making them develop extra sugars, and their super beneficial SOFT GELS are thus no longer fully available. I believe that you can cure your kids with these soft & mellow tasting Bananas... just let them ripen naturally, YOU WILL be AMAZED how the natural FIBER Gels are totally available, without the acidic sugars! Also a healthy Plant-based diet that is Non-GMO pref. Organic, and containing 50% properly cooked & 50% Raw foods & green salads...would help heal + cure Cystic Fibrosis. ~ I just hope that you can let these People know that I now see are not related to you...
I'm literally going to make the pone solution now and use this in the bathroom!

What are soda crystals. Is it baking soda?
No, it's a different product. There's a link below in the description!
Lorraine V it's washing soda if you live in the states.
As far as I know washing soda is the cooked version of baking soda. You can google for recipes.
Boraxi is hard to find in Europe so can bicarbonate of soda (baking soda in U.S.) be substituted instead?
