I'm 32 weeks pregnant and mine feels like tightening of belly and menstrual cramps. I lay down but turning either on right side or left becomes difficult and is painful. This causes me to loose my sleep. Thank you. It was an informative video.
I'm 39 weeks with #7. My Braxton Hicks start around 10 weeks. They feel tight and make me lose my breath. As baby gets bigger, they hurt. Real contractions for me start in my lower back as a tingling, tighten around my lower belly, and DON'T hurt until after about 8cm dilated. You can't really generalize contractions... Everyone will feel them differently. For example, saying they feel like "period cramps" is useless to me, because I am don't get those... But I do get bum/thigh pain.
25 weeks 3rd baby braxton hicks are tightening around my stomach to my back I can actually feel it starting up to lower and lower. It's probably the most blissful feeling ever. I don't know if somethings wrong with me because everyone tells me their painful or super uncomfortable 😂
I'm 29 weeks 5 days and a piece of my Mucus Plug came out yesterday. I believe the they feel quick and sharp like lightening and tight but they come in intervals like contractions too but never get stronger.
I am 27 weeks and 4 days, today I noticed that I kept feeling menstral like cramping from this morning 8am to now 5pm lol at first I thought gas pains but as they kept occurring they got more painful and sure enough my midwife said They are Braxton Hicks. I am feeling mine in my lower back as well as lower abdomen. Good luck to all the mamas giving birth during the pandemic 💜💜💜.
This makes me feel a lot better. I was so worried I was going into preterm labor since it felt like menstral cramps in my lower abdomen and lower back. (I’m only about 25 weeks) I had that feeling for about 2 hours 4 days ago now again this morning for about an hour or so. Everything else I read said it would feel more like just a tight feeling but I’m so happy to know it doesn’t always feel that way. Thank you mama!❤️
My braxton hicks feel like the baby has fully rotated and it gets hard and kinda looks like a big peanut because I'm naturally very tiny so my muscles are really refined when contracting and tightening ... feels really uncomfortable and kinda hard to breathe but not extremely painful or not comparable to my menstrual cramps because my menstrual cramps generally feel like I will poo all day :p
Mine are just tightening as if I were stretching my abs. And my belly gets very hard in spots. I always thought this was baby stretching & pressing their back up against my stomach. It almost takes my breath away at times. But this is the tightening everyone’s been saying. I’m nearing 40 weeks & they are becoming very frequent. Just uncomfortable, like a stretch, not pain like labor or cramping. It’s also accompanied with some lightening, which feels she’s pushing her head down on my cervix, but this could also be low contractions/ cramping to ripen & efface my cervix.
Thanks for this! I didnt know that im having Braxton Hicks right now for the past few days. Currently on 25 week 6 days and it feels crazy tightening like period cramps. Hard to sit down, hard to lie down, hard to get up. Especially when my bladder is full, so hard for me to get up. Cant even stand up straight! Thanks for sharing this ❤️
I am 35 weeks pregnant and it feels like if someone is poking me on the inside with a glass or knife. Horrible feeling. It’s so uncomfortable to sleep and sit down. Never thought pregnancy would be this hard 😭
I'm so glad I found this video. For the last couple weeks, I wake up in the middle of the night to my stomach being extremely tight and crampy. It almost feels like a muscle cramp all over my stomach. At first I thought I was just dreaming it because it only happened while I was sleeping. Then it started happening 2-3 times every night. Its not painful, just very tight feeling.
Yep my braxton hicks contractions have been very painful. I had to go to L&D for 4 hours yesterday cause I had 6 in an hour, they were getting worse and painful. No dilation. So yes, they can be painful.
the tightening feeling you described is exactly how mines feel. i just started experiencing braxton hicks as soon as i hit 28 weeks and i am now on week 31 so i’m super excited and i just thank you so much for clarifying this info!! 🥰🥰 congrats on your 3 babies ❤️❤️
So glad I found this video! I’m 27 weeks and have been experiencing BH for the past 3 days 😫😖 I thought it was bad gas pains at first but after day two I began to get worried thinking I was going into preterm labor 🥺 after reading some of these comments I feel more at ease, & I’m just going to try drinking more water 😊
im 26 weeks and 6 days I’ve been experiencing BH for the past 48 hours and I thought the exact same. Especially after a long day of walking or even when I’m walking. I cry because I’m afraid of preterm labor 😭 so after reading your comment it gave me comfort
I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I've been having noticeable BH contractions since about 24-25 weeks. To me, they feel more like a huge tightening of the belly, and sometimes some pressure that can be a little unconfortable, but I don't really feel pain. My menstrual period pains and cramps are way worse than my BH contractions. And I always knew when I was in labor on my last pregnancies because my first labor contractions tend to be more similar to painful menstrual cramps.
Mine feel like my stomach is forming into a ball. I didn’t know what they were because I was expecting period cramps. So this video really helped. Thank you sm.
I’m 14 weeks pregnant with twins. This is my third pregnancy and I experienced this for the first time early on in my pregnancy. It feels like my belly is ripping in half and at times it feels like gas pains. They are triggered more when I lay down on my right side. I’m glad you mentioned drinking water because I’ve been getting dehydrated very easy. I’m going to try to consume more water to see if it helps.
I'm 34 weeks, with my first baby. Im not really sure what I'm feeling lol, but I feel like it might just be Braxton Hicks. Feels like he's in there balling up, kind of crampy feeling, heavy feeling in my pelvis area. Also feels like I need to poop.
He arrived on Fathers Day. Was supposed to go in at midnight on Sunday to get induced. Started having contractions around noon, went to hospital at 7:00pm. I was already 7cm dilated. He was born at 7:56pm! No time for epidural because he was ready! Cant believe he was there less than an hour after arriving at the hospital!
There are so many good descriptions here! Thanks for posting! At 36 weeks I realized I've been having them off and on. Mine feels like the baby is literally trying to bust out and my belly gets really hard! I also have a few sharp pains in the lower abdomen that shoot to down there... my hips are also achy and tired feeling. And I feel really stiff.
Thanks for explaining, I was really confused on why my bump felt really firm and hard at times, but only for a short period of time. I’m only 23 weeks but I had always thought Braxton Hicks didn’t come until later in pregnancy. For me they don’t hurt at all, at least not yet, I’ve only noticed it a couple of times in the last two weeks or so. Just wanted to say thank you for this video, I’ll try and stay even more hydrated! 😊❤️
Oh my..they hurt..am in my second trimester..feels like a.menstrual cramp..lying on my left side makes me feel better..I agree on becoming rock hard...feels like labour...
Sometimes they can be hard to tell apart from labor for sure! Make sure you are drinking LOTS of water. That usually helps. Hopefully they don’t bother you too much the rest of pregnancy. Congrats on baby ☺️☺️
@@thehaleybarry am drinking lots and lots of fluids hope the next time I feel like that is when am in actual labour.. For a moment I thought I was about to deliver preterm..most scary thing since I have not even bought any baby items..be assured am stocking up asap :)
Preterm labor is definitely scary, glad to learn they are more common in the second trimester than I had thought. Praying for all of you strong women and your little ones!
I’ve always been told that I have a high pain threshold but my Gods do these BH contractions hurt! I woke up bawling today like a big baby. Have you been feeling any better as time goes by?
I’m currently 34 weeks and while I’ve had Braxton Hicks in the previous weeks that have not been painful I’m definitely feeling differently now. It’s a mixture of both. My stomach gets really tight all the way around but it also feels like period cramps. I don’t remember having Braxton Hicks at all my first pregnancy but I’m making up for it now!
I've had 3 older singleton pregnancies (10,11, & 14) and Braxton Hicks were just uncomfortable but no big deal. I'm 32 weeks with twins right now and these HURT! It's like my entire uterus is folding in on itself and hurts all the way from the front to the back. This is a whole new ballgame!
I am 30 weeks with my first, and mine started a few weeks ago. I am a server, so on my feet without breaks for 8 hours. My hicks are like an extreme period cramp with lower back pain. They do hurt me a lot and last about 30 mins at a time. They make walking difficult and frankly im miserable during them. I find myself grabbing for something to squeeze as im trying to breath through them. I am not a fan.
They started mostly like menstrual cramps and are painful. I still feel them in the pelvic area. However, lately it’s like my whole stomach has been squeezing which causes shortness of breath and discomfort in my chest and throat. I feel like that’s odd. That’s why I’m here.
They can feel a lot of different ways. But, it sounds like you may be describing heartburn as well. When you start feeling the discomfort in your chest and throat, try drinking some apple cider vinegar with a little bit of baking soda and see if that helps. Otherwise drink lots of water and rest too. ☺️💗
39 weeks today and been having Braxton Hicks all evening. They are super random/ sporadic. For me I feel pressure low in my pelvis/cervix, and my belly gets tight around baby and it changes the shape of my belly.
I’m 32 almost 33 weeks... I get BH when I go for a walk... my tummy gets tight and it’s like a GIANT cramp. I just breathe through them and put my feet up and they go away. #juneboy2020
36 weeks pregnant & I feel my stomach get super tight up like when someone gives you a tight Hug & you can barely breathe. And there are random times where it feels like I’m getting cramps. Nothing painful at all for either just more of an uncomfortable & annoying feeling. So I guess that’s what my Braxton Hicks feel like for me ? 🤷🏻♀️
Started in my late second trimester and it’s tight with pressure in my chest; like I can’t breathe. Ways to relieve: Switch positions if laying down I’d roll to the other side, get up and wlk or put fan in my face; if trying to sleep.
Thank you for this video! I’m freaking out at 28 weeks and 3 days and first time mom feeling lower back pain with these Braxton Hicks thinking I’m going into labor lol
Mine are painful and comes about 3-5 apart and last for about 30-40 seconds for about 2-3 hours then get farther apart but still very painful they randomly they stop and start again the next day ugh day 3 of this I’m 34 weeks and 4 days
Thank you for this video! Very helpful. I am on baby number two and didn’t have Braxton Hicks with my first. This time around I do and they feel like my belly is rolling into a tight ball almost like the baby is balling up into a tight knot and then releasing.
I think I am having them for the first time today. Today is my due date. So I’m 40 weeks and they started right when I woke up. Not bad enough to believe they are “go time” contractions, but they are like mild to moderate period cramps for me. Right in my lower abdomen. I’m laying down to see if it makes any changes.
I'm on my 3rd and in my 3rd trimester (currently almost 29wks)at the moment and I've never felt my braxton hicks so intensely. My stomach becomes stone and I been gettin period pain as well. It feels like labor but I know that it's not because I been there...I haven't been able to get much relief in the last 2 days but I'm gonna try a shower. That usually works. My sister (who just had her 8th) told me that its totally normal and not to worry bec with every pregnancy ur body changes and ur gettin older so ur body handles it differently. Great video
Currently 30 weeks 2 days... mine are painful like period cramps... which is why I’m here lol. It wakes me up, trying to learn how to breathe through them...
Hi so I’m about 23 weeks and I experienced my first one yesterday and the best way I can describe it is the soreness and tightness you feel after an abs work out. My stomach was just really tight. It wasn’t painful, just uncomfortable in a way.
I thought it was my baby lifting her butt or head lol but yes it feels like a knee is at the top of my stomach on both sides. Really hard too! Started in my second trimester I’m 8 months now
Im 29weeks first time feeling what i think is a braxton hick, it felt like my belly was tight but also crampy like a leg cramp not a menstral cramp and the dull pain radiated to my chest and made my chest feel tight . It was pretty freaky i laid on my side and stretched my ar over my head and that helped relieve it
My belly gets really hard and it feels like my baby is tugging on my insides. I was telling my fiancé that he is either turning, balling up or pulling at the cord and to give me a minute. Also it’s hard for me to catch my breath when this happens and I get warm.
I experienced my first braxton hicks when I was 16 weeks pregnant, and now Im going 19 weeks. My belly feels rock hard, but will relax again after a couple of minutes. Sometimes its longer but its not painful at all. I noticed that it really happen when my bladder is full or after an orgasm. I freaked out when I first experienced it because I didn't know if thats normal, I contacted my OB and she prescribed me with an isoxsuprine, because she thinks I might be in an early labor. 🙄 But its just braxton hicks! Now Im at ease knowing that everything is just normal. 🤗
I am 36+4 and im definitely noticing them way more now! Most definitely a tight feeling and coming more often.. they are also starting to take my breath away
First time mom... I think I had one last night I thought it was gas but still don’t know that’s what I had was Braxton Hicks I’m 28w 5days still confused...
I started at 20 weeks getting menstral like cramps. They’re on the lower front of the belly. They can also last for hours continuously or short bursts. This is my third pregnancy and hadn’t had this feeling with my first two.
I’m 36wks and a first time mom. I started Braxton-Hicks in the middle of the second trimester, but those were very light and not painful at all. Just stomach tightening on both sides of my belly and lasted 10-15 secs. It wouldn’t happen too often, but would only happen during my daily walks. But today I experienced my first intense BH contraction. It lasted about 20-30secs; it was tightening around my entire belly and this one was painful that it stopped me in my place and I just had to breath for a little. So, after reading comments and watching your video, I’m certain that it was BH and not real labor.
I never had them until today and I blame that on my doctor for man handling my vajayjay this morning. I was scared but this video put me at ease so thank you.
I’m 21 weeks and tonight I had cramps. It didn’t last long but it woke me up. The cramps weren’t painful really, very mild but I woke up when I realized i was having cramps.
I’m 34 weeks and 2 days. My Braxton Hicks are timed to last about 30-50 seconds long and are about 2-3 minutes apart. This lasts about 2/3 hours. If it wasn’t for being mildly uncomfortable I would think this was true labor. But it’s tolerable pain. Feels like a tightening in my lower abdomen and then gradually relaxes
I experience it when walking. Especially after a long day of working ill go pee and it feels like menstrual cramps. Mine are for about 10 seconds sometimes it'll come back a couple of times then go away. I am 37 weeks and 4 days
Thanks for posting this! Totally helpful. I literally have only 4 dau4s before my due date and I'm just now starting to feel braxton hicks. You're right!! Water literally makes it go away
I’m 35 weeks/4 days with twins. My Braxton Hicks started at 34 weeks ish every 2hrs-3hrs, at night. For me, it feels like period cramps or I have to go #2. The pain last up to 15-30 seconds. Very inconsistent though.
Same im 35 weeks and 3 days and I usually get braxton hicks at night when im asleep with period cramping and sometimes cold sweats and feeling like i need to do #2
I usually get menstrual like cramps that really just feel more like a period but they also tighten up my belly. This morning I woke up at 8am in the morning with what I believe was actual contractions because I had never felt them so intense before they woke me up. They would come on very strong and very tight around my belly and last for a few seconds then stop. It felt like diarrhea cramps like really bad diarrhea cramps. I felt nauseous and like I was going to poop myself. I tried to poop and there was nothing to poop lol. I’m 39 weeks and 1 day!
Mine definitely feel like a tightening in the front, almost like baby is pushing up against my tummy in a ball. They're uncomfy but not necessarily painful. They seem to last me about 60-90 seconds. They've been coming pretty regularly for me today..
@@maryystarr2349 they've started getting more painful, but not to the point where I feel I need to go in. I get them very frequently now. Not sure if baby is gonna wait until our c section date 😬
30 weeks 4 days and this is my first pregnancy w/ a babygirl. Im thinking I’m starting to get Baxton Hicks, I’m having tightening of the stomach, & it’s like she’s curling up in a ball and pushing out. My stomach is literally rock hard also when it happens lol, but no hardcore pain. I feel slight cramps sometimes when it happens, but not every time.
I was put on bed rest at 34 weeks because I went to the emergency room after having Braxton Hicks all dat everyday for several weeks, and after being monitored it turned out I got them every 3 to 5 minutes. I have to rest to try and make them less frequent, but so far I’m not noticing a big difference. I really hope baby girl will stay put until at least week 38🤞🤞
Im almost at my 30 weeks and didn't know about this braxton hicks until now. My stomach is so tight that it feels so uncomfortable and cannot breathe, i thought it was just my baby exercising.
I was in the shower lastnight and the bottom of my stomach felt tight and felt like it was cramps & then the pain shot to my private & lasted for like 5 to 6 mins . It went away when i got out im 35 weeks
For me, my stomach gets right and hard but to describe it, it feels almost like she’s pushing her back hard up against my stomach. And then when it’s done and my stomach gets all soft again I say it feels like she’s sunken back down.
Yes this is how I felt today! I totally thought it was because she’d changed position but when I started to suddenly get this tightening feeling when I was lay in bed it made me wonder if it was braxton hicks.
Hey!! I am 29w 6d. I am just starting to get them. They feel like cramps in my lower abdomen. Like one long cramp that last for a min or two. Hope that helps someone :)
I feel like I'm having Braxton Hicks all the time. They are starting to get on my nerves because I'm waiting to have real contractions and they are always just the BH. My stomach will get hard and square or hard and lopsided. Sometimes they make it hard to breath too. They make me almost always have to get up and go pee. I am so ready for my baby girl to get here. This waiting game and false labor really sucks lol
This is my first baby and usually my contractions start by a heartburn feeling then severe back pain. It’s goes back and forth with pain. The pain then goes to my upper stomach and then follows by sweating and vomiting. I’m 25 weeks today. The pain really sucks. I been drinking lots of water though, I always have a water bottle by my bedside. I noticed for me vomiting and walking around usually helps it. I do try taking Tylenol but thats starting to not help.
I think I’m feeling some right now! I’m 27 weeks 6 days so almost 28 and I just felt the first one in the morning today. I felt extreme stretch, tightening like there’s a net attached around my belly from the inside and it’s shrinking. The tighening literally feels like I could discrimate that it’s something different than usual cramps. Then I felt some mestrual type cramps during shower, and now after a few hours I could feel some “pains” come and go. Can’t describe how it actually feels like but they for sure aren’t as extreme as the very first ones. Plus they’re definitely painful for me.
My Braxton Hicks used to feel like a stomach tightening now at 34 weeks they feel like period cramps, sometimes their stronger than others along with back pain. My midwife recc being a little less active and ensuring enough fluid intake. They eventually go away with rest.
Baby #3 started getting Braxton hicks at about 20 weeks. . Tight stomach and sometimes ackes in my back. . I walk my kids to school and preschool so get Braxton hicks very regularly I'm currently 28 weeks 4 days pregnant
soooo hard to explain the feeling!! haha like you said, its not exactly "painful" per say, but there are times its make me almost jump n make some kind of noise lol Defiantly when i have to pee though FOR SURE :)
D.O.s mistress yes! Mine get that way towards the end too. I always have to walk around and hydrate and such to determine if they are true contractions!
Ow thankyou I just had one it hurt on my left lower side of my tummy it hurt so bad felt worse than period cramps I couldn't breathe and it last for a little while especially coming from a C section mommy who never experienced labour so I had to come here due July 2020🥰
That could be Braxton Hicks but also possibly gas or constipation pains too. Congrats on your little one, hope you don’t get too bad contractions before labor starts!! ☺️💗
Just finding this video and it’s been so helpful! Thank you! My Braxton Hicks feel like a tightening/pressure in my belly (like a pressure pushing from the inside of my belly out - If that makes sense). Some are painful, some are just uncomfortable. Most take my breath away!
Mine also feel like a pressure pushing from the inside of my belly out, it’s like the uterus expanding and then relaxing, not painful at all, what’s painful is my gas pains
I’m 23 weeks . Started in my lower, and went to my legs like period cramps hours later then it went away then 3 hours later it was all in my belly up top and it hurt. I was concerned but it went away. I think I had gas too.
Have BH right now and mine are like tighting and I've noticed as baby grows, BH grows too. Am 24 weeks and it's uncomfortable. It's my second baby thou. We learn everyday!!
Experiencing these now at 31 weeks. They feel like menstrual cramps and they haven’t stopped even tho they’re on and off, it’s been hours. Just going to call my dr and see what they suggest 😅
i started getting mine once my son dropped, they last all day everyday, nothing helps them go away, they are always there, they are like painful period cramps that tend to make me stop in my tracks and take my breath away, when i get them i get a painful ache pressure feeling where my cervix is located and my whole stomach tightens, ive told this to my OB and they tell me its normal but this is my 3rd baby and they were never like this before, i am 33 weeks now and my babies like to come around 37 weeks, wish me luck...
My Braxton Hicks feel like a tightening and a lot of pressure in my pelvic area, I’m 27 weeks. They were very painful, I needed to take a hot shower for them to go away.
Imma first time mom and I get Braxton Hicks almost every morning lol. Mine don’t hurt or feel like menstrual cramp but my stomach gets really hard and tight like what you said. At first it made me nervous but now I think it’s pretty cool once I learned what it was lol.
I am 33 weeks pregnant with my 6th pregnancy I've been having Braxton hicks contractions I know its Braxton hicks because my belly tightens and its very uncomfortable painful even, however I don't experience and pelvic pain or pass any mucus plug
26 weeks tomorrow, just had one at 5:20 and its 6:18 now and it felt like really bad gas pains but tightening of stomach at the same time, it lasted till about 5:27 and helped with drinking water at the time of contraction, i had to sit the pain was actually pretty bad too.
I've had braxton hicks since week 14 now week 25. I didn't know what it was as i am a first time mum. It feels slightly uncomfortable and tight, my baby feels at one side now when it happens. No pain though.
Mine feel like menstrual cramps if I’m just lounging but when I’m being really active it’s tightening in my lower belly area. I’m 34 weeks right now and this is my first pregnancy so I honestly don’t know what half the pains and aches I get are. Would that burning sensation in the cervix area you mentioned in your labor video be apart of Braxton hicks? I get that feeling all the time especially after I use the bathroom and I have been since my 2 trimester same with menstrual cramps.
I think I’ve been have BH for a week now, and they felt like manstrual cramps, but I thought it was just diarrhea pain. I’m still not sure what is it ..
Mine are happening back to back. My stomach gets super hard and then releases. Sometimes i feel it in my butt or lower abdomen like period cramps. Extremely uncomfortable. I’m 39&1.
I only started to feel them recently at 37 weeks and 4 days. I wasn’t sure what it was because it felt like a long stitch (stabbing pain) on one side of my abdomen. After maybe 40 seconds it would go away. It mainly happened when I was laying down. If I try to move around, it feels more painful, so I have to stay still and take deep breaths.
I’m 35 weeks pregnant, and I’m not sure if I’m feeling Braxton Hicks or not but I’m feeling what you described the video! Tightness, my daughter feels like she wants to pop out my skin. I feel like I have to pop or push something out of me
I’m 27 weeks and I think I had Braxton Hicks the other day. It felt like I had to go #2 or had really bad gas. I kept urgently running to the bathroom, but nothing would happen. Then I started realizing that the sensation was coming and going throughout the afternoon/evening and if I just sat with it, it would eventually go away.
Thanks so much for watching! What do your Braxton Hicks feel like? Reply here or let us know in the comments.

Yes! They can be painful for sure.
That’s me right now , I’ll be 26 weeks this Wednesday. Went for a walk and that seemed to help a little .
Thanks for this comment!!!! Describes perfectly what I am going through and I was so worried 🥺
Oooooo ok that makes sense! I am 33 weeks & I was having some PMS type cramps

Same here.
This happened to me last night! I love how you described it in this comment.
This is EXACTLY how I feel to a T!
You described it perfectly all these videos I’m watching has me very confused
Exactly same feelings
YESSS THIS HOWW I. FEEL IT OMG
Exactly how it feels for me.
Thanks for this! I didnt know that im having Braxton Hicks right now for the past few days. Currently on 25 week 6 days and it feels crazy tightening like period cramps. Very welcome! Glad it was helpful for you!

feels like i have gas and it was really unconfortable. I didnt know what it was and started crying.
I am 35 weeks pregnant and it feels like if someone is poking me on the inside with a glass or knife. Horrible feeling. It’s so uncomfortable to sleep and sit down. Never thought pregnancy would be this hard 😭
It can be so hard. Hang in there, you are so close!! ☺️💗
Exactly what I'm feeling. I feel like a sharp needle poking my lower womb area, I'm 7months pregnant currently
Did you end up going home after? Mine don’t hurt at all but I just have intense tightening & have a bunch within a hour
the tightening feeling you described is exactly how mines feel. i just started experiencing braxton hicks as soon as i hit 28 weeks and i am now on week 31 so i’m super excited and i just thank you so much for clarifying this info!!
Mine felt like my stomach was hard as a rock and having like mild period pains..
Feels like both menstrual cramps and gas pains. Good to know they feel different for everyone.
Also feels like I need to poop.
riceland sounds like that could be it for sure!! Congrats on your baby! 😁💗
@@thehaleybarry Thank you so much!
I had the same experience yesterday ! Wasn't sure if I was going into labour as igs my 1st 😓
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels like this😅
I’m 33 weeks & 2 days, My stomach just gets hard and tight through out the day, no cramps tho! Thanks for the video mama !!
And I feel really stiff.
im 33 weeks and i have back pain right now, did u experienced it while u were on your 33rd weeks?
@@ianjaypardilanan8169 I haven't. Not much back pain at all.
You are so welcome! Pregnancy can be so confusing. Hydration usually helps a lot!! 💗☺️
This is how i feel.. a little scary
Mine feel like when you do several crunches and your stomach starts to burn on top of my belly being really tight and flexed
I’m 32 and 3 and for the past 24 hours I’ve been getting irregular tightenings and it’s so painful and literally making me throw up xxx
Hope these tips help you deal with them! You are so close, congrats!!
I’m 24 weeks and just experienced my first Braxton Hicks. It felt like cramps and belly tightening and lasted for about 1-2 minutes
Mine feel like I’m getting my period, like menstrual cramps, pretty low down too but my baby is and has been super low the whole time.
Congrats. I guess I just figured out the pain I’m experiencing. My baby was low the whole time to. I’m 31weeks and this is my 1st pregnancy
@@babylove21sofly I’m in same situation, from baby sitting low, to first time pregnancy
Same
Sameeeee
Glad I found this video! 20 weeks now, but mine feels more like a muscle cramp/sore muscle.
I’m 32 almost 33 weeks... I get BH when I go for a walk... my tummy gets tight and it’s like a GIANT cramp. I just breathe through them and put my feet up and they go away. #juneboy2020
Emily Adinolfi yes! That’ll do it lol congrats!! Almost there 💗
Im 25 +1 first baby this is what started to happen to me about an hour ago is 25+ normal for bh or is it too early x
Feels like period cramps alone with back pain, which are very much painful, I’m 24w.
Hopefully those tips helps them to go away for you!
Mine are the same way. I'm 32, and when i have those contractions they hurt the most in my back
Your comment honestly eased my stress mine didn't feel this intense till today and I go so scared I was gonna lose my little one ... I'm 24w and 1 day
36 weeks pregnant & I feel my stomach get super tight up like when someone gives you a tight Hug & you can barely breathe.
Ways to relieve:
Switch positions if laying down I’d roll to the other side, get up and wlk or put fan in my face; if trying to sleep.
Ariel Allen so glad you found ways to relieve!! ☺️
I took a hot bath to stop it. I had the same experience.
Ditto! Feels like momentary tightening of tummy. No pain.
Sameeeeeeee
Me too!
Oh nooo😕 When did you eventually deliver?
Mine were like this too. Definitely painful
Sherlande Pavilus yes! Sounds exactly right. Congrats on baby 💗
I thought it was my baby lifting her butt or head lol but yes it feels like a knee is at the top of my stomach on both sides. Really hard too! Started in my second trimester I’m 8 months now
Yes, it’s a weird sensation sometimes!
I thought this same thing! I thought the baby was just raising up to the top away from my back! My OB was like that’s probably a BH!
Me too! I feel that same exact way
Yes! Im a year late to the convo but yes - this is how mine feel! Tightening belly - especially at the top & baby sticks out sometimes like a nub lol.
Yes! The end of my second trimester it felt like that. Now I feel it in my uterus area
Glad I could help!! Definitely want to avoid medications if we can. Hopeful your body is just exercising for labor and delivery in the future! 😁
This is very well explained and very detailed. I love it so much ❤
I started at 20 weeks getting menstral like cramps.
I was scared but this video put me at ease so thank you.
brit H exams can definitely cause contractions so no worries mama ☺️
30 weeks and I haven’t felt them yet, just watching so I can be prepared lol
Kay Kay lol that’s great!
Not everybody gets them.
Yes! Water helps so much! Thanks for watching and congrats!! ☺️
And a full bladder causes them 🤦♀️🤣 hope your birth goes well!
This is super helpful. Thank you
This is how mine feels like right now. I’m currently 33 weeks, and this kind of pain started yesterday
Mine definitely feel like a tightening in the front, almost like baby is pushing up against my tummy in a ball. They're uncomfy but not necessarily painful. They seem to last me about 60-90 seconds. They've been coming pretty regularly for me today..
How far along are you
@@maryystarr2349 37 weeks today
My stomach is so tight that it feels so uncomfortable and cannot breathe, i thought it was just my baby exercising.
i experienced my first one a week shy of 6 months. It was slightly painful and i felt like i was going to faint, not fun! lol
Sam Cuenca that’s not fun at all! Make sure you stay very hydrated and congrats on your baby! 💗
21 weeks and it feels like painful gas 😩. It affects me most on the sides and at night.
TheTyphanie definitely! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
I’m 34 weeks and I feel more of a pressure feeling in my stomach and back. I feel yucky and need to sit down.
I'm on baby #3. I never had Braxton Hicks contractions until now. My stomach gets really tight and nose burn. Lol I'm 34 weeks.
Feeling what felt like waves of gas pain in my back. Now that I’m laying down it’s gone. Thinking it may have been BH.
My Braxton Hicks feels like Quick sharp pains but really light pains kinda like a needle poking me from the insides sporadically.
Mine is really really painful if not the fact that they go away when I change positions I will have thought I was in labor
Mine don’t feel like period cramps, they feel more like an outside tightening but they hurt so so badly. I’m due July 17th! Congratulations on yours!
Just finding this video and it’s been so helpful! Thank you! My Braxton Hicks feel like a tightening/pressure in my belly (like a pressure pushing from the inside of my belly out - If that makes sense). Some are painful, some are just uncomfortable. Most take my breath away!
You're so welcome! They can be annoying but I hope the tips help you!
Like you, my stomach gets rock hard and it's very uncomfortable. I'm 28 weeks with twins.
Have BH right now and mine are like tighting and I've noticed as baby grows, BH grows too. Am 24 weeks and it's uncomfortable. It's my second baby thou. We learn everyday!!
It feels like a tightening in the center of my belly. Like a knot. A feeling I’ve never experienced
Yes! They can feel so strange at first.
Mine feel tight like as if my baby is really pushing my stomach out. They get a little painful.
Haylie Wink yes they are so strange how they do that!
Strange how many people say they don’t hurt 😆
Mine are also painful I was wondering if it was normal
im 33 weeks pregnant and been experiencing back pain, is it normal?
Emiii Welsh yes! Some women’s are painful! Glad the shower helped.
Imma first time mom and I get Braxton Hicks almost every morning lol. Mine don’t hurt or feel like menstrual cramp but my stomach gets really hard and tight like what you said. At first it made me nervous but now I think it’s pretty cool once I learned what it was lol.
Yes they are so confusing at first! Glad you figured out that it was Braxton Hicks. Congrats on your little one!
Tightening and my breathing is also somewhat suppressed. It feels like a void in my belly. But no pain at all.
I am 33 weeks pregnant with my 6th pregnancy
I've been having Braxton hicks contractions
I know its Braxton hicks because my belly tightens and its very uncomfortable painful even, however I don't experience and pelvic pain or pass any mucus plug
This is exactly what I’m feeling and I’m wondering if labor is getting any closer.. hopefully soon!
I feel like I have to pop or push something out of me
It may be but it could also be your baby girl running out of room. You are so close!
