This channel is great for so many reasons bro. The presentation is great and your German accent is pleasant to listen to. your showing tons of puzzle I haven't seen and the way u show the puzzle then "let us try" THEN solve it keeps me watching. great job!

It is quite strange that I've never thought much of german accents...but i feel the same away about these videos, there's something relaxing about that particular accent while doing puzzles!

    • @misterdinner3648
      @misterdinner3648 7 років тому +1

Drake Zane yeah people think of german as this agressive language, which it is, but their accent causes them to not be able to pronounce germanic parts of the english language ironically.

I'm an American college student and I really enjoy puzzles. I have a friend that also enjoys puzzles and her birthday
is coming up. I would like to make a handmade one of these for her using some fine quality wood with special polish I have. I'd also like to make some inscriptions on the box as it's a special birthday gift. The outside box dimensions are on the puzzlemaster website, but the inside block dimensions vary and aren't on the website. I could buy a $25 box off the internet but I figured asking you would be amazing. Either way, I'd like to say thank you for making such amazing videos! Keep up the good work!

Hats off to the designer of the puzzle... it's quite obvious that the solution has to do with the volume.
As can be seen, even the juggling of the pieces of the puzzle fit requires some time so we can imagine the effort to create the puzzle.

    At 5:20, shouldn't it be 287.496CM^3 not mm^3? Because 66x99x44=287496mm*3

I've recently done this 'puzzle' just by taking out and packing away some random things around the house from storage containers. Funny thing is even though the boxes were completely sealed with no issue before, after taking some things out and trying to put them back in we couldn't close the lids anymore. Efficient use of space when storing stuff is an art.

6:24 I love the way you dance around saying "final solution" :D
Also, I just finished this right before watching this video, thanks for putting up that black screen warning. I just wanted to make sure I got the instructions right for what to actually do before giving it another try and I finally solved it by comparing the dimensions of the pieces and seeing that they are multiples of each other. Comparing that with the optimal distribution for height and width and the rest fell into place quite simply. Very nice puzzle, takes some time when doing it haphazardly (I tried to brute force it, wouldn't work); I would recommend it.

Dude, I love this man's voice. Not because he's German (yeah, maybe a little). He sounds like hes never done anything bad in his life and he's just so fucking shy

You should make a top 10 video of your favorite puzzles that you've solved and/or made a video about if you haven't already. Also congrats on 100K subs! Edit: Or a Q&A either one would be a cool video to see.

That puzzle looked easy! the red stone is smaller than the box, so simply fit the stone in the box!

Soon i saw it had layers i figured had to change the size and ONLY way to do so was to turn items upwards "non flat",so kind of easy really.

A lot of people in these comments saying it's easy, I kept not arranging the large and the narrow block in the way that's required because it seemed too "easy", also you quickly run into problems when doing it that way and not following up directly. Anyone who has a simple understanding of combinatorics knows that this type of puzzle seems easy, especially when presented with the solution like this, but is very hard without having the solution beforehand when not going at it in a structured way.

That's completely right. Also, even if you know how it should work it will require some time to find the correct arrangement of all pieces. Every piece need to be in the correct position and orientation.

Once I saw the conditions I was immediately reminded of the triangle puzzle where you end up with an extra square unit. Same problem here but this one is 3D.

2:58 I figured it out the bottom layer you flip at least one on its side and my guess is that there are 3 more to do the same thing then there will be room for the red stone. Time to watch the rest and see if I was right. OK I was close it seems you flip all of them on to their side.

Oh. I must've done too many puzzles, cause the minute you took out the first to reveal the second layer I thought "they have wiggle-room and it's quite deep, bet they can be tilted onto their sides." But I love that you went into detail, a really excellent video

I like the psychology behind puzzles and often wonder 'Are certain minds equipped to solve certain puzzles quickly and vice versa?'
I arrive at that theory because some puzzles I can immediately visualise the mechanics of it and others I can't and need it revealed. I'd be interested to read a study regarding mind types and puzzle solving capabilities.
