Have you got an Otamatone? If so, which one?
LOOTd I have the black one that costs £20 on amazon and it didn’t come with batteries.
No I don't, but I do know something interesting that slightly relates to this:Pocket operators.

LOOTd has once again made me want an Otamatone, whilst simultaneously never wanting to hear one for the rest of my life. I've come to the conclusion that Charles' charm and enthusiasm being directly inverse to his musical ability is the cause. It is absolutely brilliant! Thanks for making my day better!

I just bought my very first one! I’m not sure if it’s a neo but this video has made me realize I’d love to have maybe two
I personally got the Otamatone Neo was my first Otamatone. My friend has a generic Otamatone, and I've used it before. I have to say the Neo is much better, and that's coming from somebody who doesn't even use Otamalink. The slightly bigger size and easier to use stem makes it worth the purchase.
Try the Epic Sax Guy on the saxophone setting...

How is the slide bar compared to the Otamatone classic? I've heard the classic doesn't really work too well and that's why it has a toy-ish feel to it. That rules the classic out for me.
The deluxe costs around 80 Euro here and the Neo 45 Euro (the classic is around 30) - would you suggest to try out the Neo or go straight to the deluxe?

Is it just me or is the Neo discontinued? Can’t find it on Amazon and ironically the only Otamatone I can buy in person is a Neo at Barnes and Noble.
I have an original Otamatone. I found it hard to press. Fingers and nails got soar easily after playing 5 minutes. People say the NEO is much more sensitive and much easier to press. Can you confirm?
I have both a regular otamatone and a neo and I can confirm that the neo has a much more sensitive touch pad, and it is also a little wider.

Have you played with effect on the app to turn off the echo and distortion? If you click the tail the tail in app it changes everything. I know this video is 6 months old though

I got a deluxe and have realised you can't connect it to the app. Is there and kind of adapter I can get to make it compatible?
Afraid the Deluxe wasn't designed to work with the app, will need to get a Techno or Neo 😞
can you plug headphones into this so that when I practice I don't annoy my husband? I just don't want to drive him insane... or does the sound come out of the phone so I can plug my headphones into that?
I just received the Neo, and it's funny enough.
The app, however, is indeed just a taster. You'll have to pay for the full version to get all the features...
Luckily I own an HTC Android phone, so no problems with compatibility 🤘

The new apps is cool, I would try it with my Techno. But Neo is only a smaller size Techno with lower price, it's a bit disappointed.
Yeah if you've got a Techno already I would give this one a miss (unless you have a weird urge to buy all Otamatones, but who would try and do that? )

I found a neo cheaper than the regular. The neo has a wider and more sensitive neck than the regular but I like how the regular is smaller and was inspired by the Spain Got Talent guy, Was wondering which is the better choice. Is the enhanced neck of Neo really better?

Fun Facts:
1) The batteries included with most gear are just good enough to make sure the product will turn on and allow the user to verify that the device operates, that there are no issues with the features. Don’t feel bad that you forgot they were in the box. A fresh set of alkaline cells will serve the user best.
An aside: Alkaline batteries? That’s green irresponsible you say? When they offer a reasonably priced rechargeable that delivers the same 1.5 volts per AA or AAA cell (or 9 volts in the PP3 package), instead of the 1.2 volts that almost all Nicad, NiMH or Lithium cells offer (7.2-8.4 volts in the rechargeable PP3 “9 volt” type battery), then I’ll use them in my critical portable applications.
2) Historically, when it comes to music gear, Android is Non-Apple Smart Phone & Tablet code for “Loser”. Just an observation and not meant to instill butt hurt. That’s just how it’s been.
