Boondocking in Lewis and Clark National Forest | Wildfires Approaching | Getting a Handle on A Demon

On my way through central Montana i decided to take advantage of some really amazing free dispersed camping located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest near the town of Monarch, Montana. While there i decided to fix the handle on my old hatchet. My second night of staying there i was informed that there was a wildfire raging just a few miles south of where i was. It is a really beautiful area and i'm glad i decided to go check it out.

We are severely smoked in from all the fires to the north and west of us and it has just settled in the basin and on the west slopes of the mountains.... We are in stage one fire ban so no fire here.. Enjoy your trip.
