The buffers dont look right on this locomotive cause 1 it's a amreican locomotive which is a GP40 or GP38 plus Amreican trains dont have buffers at all

I'd personally go for 9v. You do need a controller and the metal track but it's all really easy you literally just take the motor bogey and slap it onto the loco
