Excellent tutorial Christine. I've been paying for Thrive Themes for years but haven't been able to get my head around all the options available. I think there's just too much you can do so it's overwhelming for non-designers. I will look under the hood again and see what I can do. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the kind words. We've got tons of tutorials like this one specifically for Thrive Themes products, so be sure to search UA-cam if you get stuck with anything and we'll be here to help.
This video is super helpful for anyone trying to get the hang of the WordPress block editor! The step-by-step guide on using blocks and customizing your layout is easy to follow, and the comparison with the classic editor makes it clear why the block editor is a game-changer. I also appreciate the introduction to Thrive Architect for even more design flexibility. The detailed tips and clear explanations make it easy to create beautiful, functional pages. Definitely worth watching if you want to improve your WordPress skills!
Hi Christine, thanks for the video, I was looking forward to using your tips but there's so many styling options you have on the block editor that I don't see on mine, even on the styling tabs. Are you using a special version?
@@Thrivethemes Apparently by using an Elementor theme I lost some styling options on Gutenberg. Made a test site with a wordpress theme and everything look like yours. Appreciate you answering!
I am new to all of this. I've started working on a web site using WordPress and HostGator. I selected Zino from Appearance on the dashboard menu. It comes with the standard menu items : Home-About-Services, etc. I cannot figure out how to edit the menu titles so that there is something there when someone clicks on it. Is Block editing the answer? Will this video help and if not, where can I look for guidance?
Hey, thank you for the video! one question, when I create a new post I don't know how I can edit the title of the post (fonts, color, size ...) it is always this greenish default color and I can't find any answers to this. I always see people on UA-cam being able to do it but I just can't figure out how and I would really really appreciate if you could help me. (P.S: I am only having trouble editing the title, when I create other blocks I can edit it just fine)
If you're using the block editor, then it's likely this element is controlled by your theme. You can edit the theme by going to Appearance > Customize. Depending on the theme, it's not always that easy to customize, which is one of the reasons we recommend Thrive Theme Builder, as it gives you complete control over every element of your site.
shout out to the people who already understand html css javascript react etc ... but can't understand the newer EASIER MORE BETTER version of Wordpress Block Editing; maybe you broke it... Wordpress was good while it lasted
Very good tutorial on the Block Editor tutorial but stops at 13:18, and Thrive Themes continues from there on. Perhaps the title of the video should have been 'How To Use The WordPres Block Editor and the Thrive Theme Architect Plugin'. It was a somewhat 'clickbait' title.

My block editor doesn't show the settings to adjust the padding and margin. is it possible that the admin disabled it?
Perhaps you lack some permissions, yes?

Nope, just the standard one! Is your WordPress up to date?

I barely know html and css and still had to come to the tutorial to understand this block editor. It’s not easier it’s like a maze!

Good old HTML is pretty easier. Blocks suck
