An idea for your daughter getting the sewing kit- add a “Micheal’s trip” coupon to the gift box so she knows she still has more coming. It feels more like a present than if you just tell her it’s happening, and she may feel less awkward asking to go if she knows confidently that it’s a gift because of the paper copy. Such a great gift!
For your daughter to go with the binoculars they have some wonderful books that have a checklist and facts about birds.
Love your channel! New subscriber! So nice to see your kindness and thoughtfulness! The world needs more like you!!!!
Things to look into down the road is a play couch (it would incorporates a lot of your kids ages and ours gets daily use even with only 1 child). Yoto player is a screen free audiobook and song player. Also magnatiles.
I also have 6 kids in the same exact age range, so cool! loved the gift ideas 😊
To prevent fighting maybe assign a day or time frame for each kid to get to read on it?
Sort of like screen time?
Not a parent just heard about this stuff
I Loved all of the gifts! I’m sure your kids are going to love everything!
It’s crazy to me how people comment with their negative remarks yet I’m pretty sure YOU know YOUR children and what will make them happy not strangers here on YT…..you bought them each NICE quality gifts! I love the idea of only a couple items each and family gifts. Makes it so much more special and meaningful ❤ I hope you and your family have an amazing holiday season! 🎄🎄
An idea for next year could be an experience gift like a coupon to go to a movie.
Tickets to see the Nutcracker ballet, there might be a smaller production thats cheaper, I know those tickets are sometimes crazy expensive. But they have various versions on DVD so the experience could be going over to a relative or friends house to watch with them.
Just some ideas.
Look toward to this video every year 😊
I actually really liked this. I think it’s far better, when you have a budget to do quality over quantity. A huge amount of thought has gone into these gifts and regardless of what others may say, I don’t think the children will feel short changed at all! The family gifts are great, and again, for those questioning buying 1 item to cater for multiple kids, well, that’s how big families work people! You learn to share and take turns pretty early on 😄. Have a wonderful Christmas everybody xx
❤❤❤❤❤
Take care with the hover board thing, my daughter had a go on her sons and fell off and broke her ankle!
Get the two year old something that will tire him out like a little tricycle or some balls to play with outside. Ball pit. Def read to him. Do an interactive book it might work
Thanks for your thoughts. He loved riding his wiggle car in the summer and fall. We can't really ride bikes or play much with toys outside in the winter. We get so much snow, ice, and bitter cold temperatures where we live. It isn't fun...ha ha.
Thoughtful ideas mom just another idea Maybe your younger daughters may like the new barbie car with remote control that is sold on amazon , target or walmart but have a wonderful Christmas God Bless your family
I miss the Pokémon plush
Oh honey 5 kids and 1kindle. I’ll pray for you lol
Ha Ha!!! Only 3 can read and they get tons of library books every few weeks. It teaches them delayed gratification and sharing.
Protein waffles 🧇
too early for me
Growing up my mom only gave us one or two presents because that’s all she could afford but honestly I when I was young I thought that’s just what Santa gives and was always grateful and excited every morning to see what I got. I feel like you just value the gift/s even more when you’re not overwhelmed with so many presents. Plus extended family always gave us more presents.
😂 it’s really weird, that straightaway that I kind of knew that you were lds lol😅
Although only 2 gifts isn’t something I would do I still enjoy seeing how other families do Christmas and respect it. I thought your gifts were very thoughtful and I’m sure they will enjoy and appreciate them 🩷
They will still be getting gifts from grandparents, aunts and uncles etc. kids don’t need tons of gifts to be happy. And with six gifts two gifts is enough

I have always gone way overboard on Christmas…and now that I really want to simplify it and not spend 6k I’m finding it hard since it’s literally what my kids expect now 🤦🏻♀️i have been prepping them all year that this year will be way smaller then previous years so let’s hope me cutting x-mas in 1/2 will go over well 😂my kids are 28, 23, 14, and 10.
I hope it goes well for you!!!
For your daughter who sews ( if she still does). If she makes quilts. Try using flat sheets for the insert and the backing.
I use it for all my quilts and works like a charm
I love your family gift ideas on this video! Such a variety. I think you and I think alike when it comes to buying gifts. My only child is an adult now, but your videos are so helpful in finding ideas for my nieces and nephews.
my grandbabies love books
I love that you say "we" and how you and your husband are so proactive in their gifts and learning. I was impatiently waiting for your video I always love your ideas!!
Thank you!
Okay two gifts sounded bad, but it kind of works out now as you did all the family gifts
Awesome, I added the solar system kit to my cart for our space unit for the spring. My daughter also loves engineering so that will put the 2 together, great idea
I really enjoy the tone of your voice and your general candidness. The gift ideas are perfection and I love the intention of them. The green dress is amazing! If I had a little girl I’d definitely pick that for her if I saw it. 🤎 I do not know you but I know you’re a great mom and your kids will always be lucky to have you! Happy holidays! 🎄
I agree with the approach to cut down on presents. I have 8 children myself and over the past few years I have focused on limiting presents and being intentional about what we buy (even though we are better off financially than we were when we were doing 5-8 presents each). In the past few years, I have I have done the "something to wear, something to read, something they want, something they need" approach where they get 4 gifts a piece (plus a stocking and a jolabokaflod gift). This year the approach is "something big, something small, a stocking and a gift for all." The small gifts are turning out to be a handful of like-themed gift for some of the kids that will be packaged together (like stationary along with a wax seal kit and such). They will still get a jolabokaflod book and candy on Christmas eve and a stocking of course.
I always go up a size at least in those snug fit pajamas.
Love to e budget! Very retainable and reminding the presents are not the reason for the season
Awesome gift ideas!! Your kiddos will be excited :)
Loved watching all the gifts you got for your kids. Thanks for sharing.
Personally we would never only do 2 Christmas gifts but I love to see what other families do for Christmas! The gifts you purchased are very thoughtful ❤
If your library uses Libby app they have a ton of middle grade books you can borrow then transfer to the kindle. Though you do have to remove them from your kindle library once they are no longer available on the phone app/able to be read. The app gets rid of things automatically.
Though not sure how that works with the kindle kids as kids aren't putting books on it themselves. I have a normal paperwhite 11th gen.
Though once your kids are teens 13 they could upgrade to regular kindle and have them have their own amazon account no need to attach a credit card, gift cards can be used to buy kindle books just fine.
Do you have a link for the green dress?
Sorry, I though I linked it. Here it is: amzn.to/4a3sxNl
Wow very impressed with you thrifty home schooling Moms! Great gifts!!
A lot of thought and love here 💜
Slides for the microscope
Good for you I think this is fantastic. Your children will appreciate these gifts because it's what they really want. It's sad that Christmas has become so commercialised.
I love you earrings. Can you provide a link to them?
I got them from MOD Boutique. Their earrings are changing all the time and I don't see these particular ones there, but I love all their earrings. Here is a link to their site: www.modboutiquevw.com/collections/earrings
@@jmorgan1121 Thank you! I will take a look!
I love most of the gifts and the thought behind them
Though I got a little bit confused by the girl who wanted nail polish and got school work ...
She wanted binoculars, so we made a theme of it for her. She loves the outdoors!
Cute, shirt! Nice video!
Love this!!! Great way to celebrate❤️❤️
I am part way through this video, but I’m perusing the comments as I go. Good grief. Some of y’all need to chill out. The blatantly rude comments and the passive aggressive suggestions are just mind-boggling. Why do you care how many kids she has, how many gifts she gives them, and whether or not she likes clutter. And why in the world is it a bad thing that her kids might have to actually learn how to share something?! And do y’all truly think your snarky comments are going to change her or anybody else’s mind? I’m just lost. Did she offend somebody with an Internet following and they put out a call for the trolls to attack? I mean I truly don’t get why there are so many of you guys choosing this hill, this day.
Right....
You are amazing with your coices❤❤❤❤❤
Oh :)
Choices😅
I totally understand hating clutter I do too but kids make clutter that’s life. What helped me was getting more organized just a thought. Your gifts are very thought just do a few more than two if you can
Ronandp- because you want to teach your children to be generous to others and it starts with you. I can’t believe you don’t know this.
Sorry but that makes 0 sense. Teaching generosity doesn't require any certain number of gifts, what a ridiculous thing to say.
@@katemiller7874 If you want to teach your children generosity, take them to the store and have them pick out a gift to give away to a child in need for Christmas. Buying your children material things that they do not need does not teach generosity. 2 gifts is plenty.
I admire and appreciate parents who don't go overboard with gift giving. Christmas isn't about the gifts, it's a time to focus on why we celebrate this special day. If you want to gift more gifts, do it on their birthday (the day they are celebrated) Christmas is not their day to be celebrated, it's the day to celebrate Jesus. You keep doing it your way momma, don't worry about what others say. Keep "CHRIST" in Christmas...
The pajamas for your youngest are called footie pajamas and they make them in all sizes older kids even adult sizes. Source internet.
I was looking forward to this video! Great gifts! My kids are getting a few big ticket items and a few individual gifts... they get alot from family so I try not to go overboard.
Each to there own but it’s Christmas let ya kids have fun and have a few more gifts I’m not saying 20 30 gifts etc .Although this is your choice as a parent and your clearly a great mum :)
@ronanddp- you make it known the reason for the season. One gift is fine if it’s something they really want. Don’t fool yourself. All children love gifts. They probably know it is futile to discuss with you. Sad.
be careful with that hoverboard outside. those ones with small wheels, mine has small wheels too and i would never ride it outside on the rocky pavement. possibly at a tennis court or something. we have cats and my 46 year old dad has fallen rolling over a piece of cat food.
I think your choices were thoughtful. We did a need, a wear, a want, and a surprise this year. People are ridiculous with their comments.
My oldest (16) is getting an accoustic guitar. She has an electric guitar and takes lessons.
My 14 year old requested I prepay for his video game that is coming out in March for his want. For his need he asked for new clothes so while the need is one package it has several pants, hoodies and new underwear too.
My youngest 7 asked for a new switch game for his want. I was able to get 2 of the ones on his list used for less than one was new! For his wear he asked for Nike Air Jordan's! He loves shoes.
Not getting your kids everything they want is so important to teaching contentment in our children. So many kids don’t know what that is like and I think it’s proving to be a problem. It’s not about material things and so many people are lost, many comments on this video are proof.
2 gifts are more than enough.
Hopefully the single hoverboard doesn’t cause to many arguments or disappointed children while they wait their turn.. ❤
Learn what? That we each can’t have one and play , race and have fun together at the same time? Ok..
Why so many kids if you don’t like clutter
I’m not trying to spread any hate to you or to her. But some people want to try a minimalistic approach and that works for them. And she said she’s not that minimalistic.
These are the best kind of videos for me! I wait all year to be able to watch these. I finally made my own 'what I got my kids for Christmas video @uniquelyyou 😊
Only 2 gifts for each kid wow
Why be rude, on top of not knowing how to count? Ive already seen 5 for her eldest.
We've bought our kids tons of stuff that they wanted just for it to go unplayed with. I'd rather do a couple of meaningful gifts that will be truly appreciated and used rather than waste money on stuff they want for a day just because their friends have it. Too much stuff can overload a child's sensory. People put too much emphasis on trying to do what everyone else is doing. Keep doing what's best for your family and focus on doing good in our world and stop judging others.
It depends on the families budget. I like to keep it around 10 each but smaller items because they like that. This year money is tighter so probably 7 each. The more kids you have the less they get each, makes sense to me. 2 each is not bad and there is a lot of nice drawing stuff there.
Make sure you get him a few blending stumps for his art kit!!!!! 🩷 They are an absolute must for pencil drawing. And they are super cheap too.
