I saw it last night and it was beyond anything I could have imagined! I really hope they release a DVD or even just the audio of this performance because every single one of the actors did an amazing job of transporting me to another realm.
DVD yesss!! I really really wanted to watch it again (I could only watch it in cinema) but it has become my favourite play and I want to watch it over and over, and share the excitement and raw emotion.
Saw it just now on a big screen. This play. It's as if it's holding you hostage. You just can't look away. You're unable to. You're paralyzed. Mesmerized. Captivated. It's like you're being loved and loathed simultaneously. Such a powerful thing.
This play was truly captivating. James McAvoy's performance was exhilarating!!! The entire cast was brilliant. The script was inspired and I wish I could watch it again. I really wish I could eloquently describe how much I enjoyed this experience. The only thing I regret is that more people did not come to enjoy it in my area.
I knew the story of Cyrano and i loved it so i decided seeing the play (coming all my way from Germany to see the play and my childhood hero). And James was brilliant and breathtaking. I really want to go another time, i am trying to go by the end of February. You should watch it, as long as you can make it!
Miss.McAvoy. I JUST got back from seeing it via the National Theatre Live broadcast (thank god cause living where I do, I’d likely never get to see performances like this). It was stunning!!
I was at the Odeon Mansfield last night and OMG words fail me!! Emotions were high and it took me a while to actually leave the auditorium. A perfect performance from the cast and James McAvoy was an absolute sensation! I’ve seen all of his movies so was very excited to get to see him in this amazing story being told live. Thank you to all involved in allowing people like me, who cannot readily access the West End, to experience this amazing play. Thank you. 🙏🏼
I saw this yesterday through National Theater Live, and I can only wish I had the kind of lightening wit and skill with words the characters in this play have to express how much I loved this production. I hope I have the chance to see it again. Everyone was amazing and had their own jaw dropping moments, but McAvoy blew my mind. I have always liked him as an actor and a person, but after seeing this production, I have seen how truly skilled he is as an actor and storyteller. I was gripped from his first line to his last. I actually leaned closer to the screen. Nothing I say will do him or this production justice. Just if you have the chance to see it please do.

I just saw this last night. I still can't get over how beautiful it was. Powerful, fast... It took my breath away.

I thought the play was rather let down by the staging and direction - but came alive when McAvoy was on the stage - he was mesmerisingly good.

All public events over 50 people have been canceled due to quarantine, so the April 19th show will not likely happen ☹️ Be safe, everyone 🌹
Nothing beats the original academy award winning Jose Ferrer black and white movie
James named a Scottish play
When is the fire? 😅😂
No swords? Sigh
