Great video! I found it by searching for the C0265 code which my 2005 Chevy Astro had. When I opened my ABS control, I couldn't see anything wrong with the relay solder joints. But since I was into it that far, I reflowed the relay solder connections anyway, and that fixed my problem. There must have been something cracked there that I couldn't see. THANK YOU!
Yeah, A lot of the time you can't see the break in it. It's always best to resolder it while there. Thank you so much for Subscribing. I can't thank you enough!
Awesome! Glad I could help! Those T20's can be a nightmare! Make sure to SUBSCRIBE! It really helps the channel and I try to answer Subscriber questions first!
Hey Chris, you just saved me a ton of money man. Excellent video. What a funny problem. Intermittent and would turn the code on in the morning and every other time I started it. Thanks again Chris!
No problem! I'm glad it help! NOW cashapp me some money for dinner! We starving over here! HAHA JK. Just make sure to Like and Subscribe! It really helps the channel!
You da man Kris. Thank you so very much. 04 Buick Rainier I purchased from a friend cheap. Renewed entire brake system due to ABS/brake light and green black fluid. Probably watched 5hrs worth of different possibilities causing ABS fault. Even disassembled EBCM to inspect PCB. Appeared OK so I reassembled. After watching your video I attacked the EBCM again. Resolded as you described. My third soldering iron finally got the job done. Failure was not an option. Thanks again Kris. Well done.
My 03 sierra1500 4.8 only has the check brake system message with the brake light and chime on. No abs light and scan tool shows no codes. Brake fluid is on full level. Coul this still be what's wrong with the truck
yes that was it. My truck doesn't have the level sensor. Mine has the brake pressure warning switch, easy fix thank you for pointing me in the right direction
Great video. You explained everything in detail and you made your video easy to follow along with what you were doing. I'm going to trying repairing mine, on a 2002 Trailblazer, later today. Thanks again for a great video,
Hey man! Thanks alot! Just did this to my 08' SLT and it worked!!! Turn out the lights, the partys over!! You saved me some money dude! I thumbs up'd the video & subscribed! Good looking out boss!
Dude, this was brilliant. If you aren't employed as an instructor you have missed your calling. Well... technically you are my instructor. Thanks a million!
Thanks for posting this, Chris. I am a woman and have no idea what 1/2 of what you were saying meant, but I enjoyed watching it. Sure wish I could do it myself instead of having to take it to the Chevrolet House which I have to do on Tuesday. Ugh!
Outstanding video with no extra jibber jabbing. I would only advise that my 2002 Silverado has six T8 screws holding the cover on. So anyone following this video be prepared to have both a T10 for removing the unit and T8 bit for removing the cover to access the 5 soldering points.
Was doing this job today on an 04 Avalanche, there are a few smaller torx screws around the underside of the module, including two that are near the six cylinders objects, that need to be removed to actually remove the metal cover. Great video!
Great job buddy! I’m proud of you! It doesn’t take much but a little confidence in yourself. You’re the MF man and now you can add soldering to your list of skills! Let me know if you need help with anything else. I got you!
@@cdarnau thanks, I'm tackling this job for a friend, and my ears perked up at ABS; I was thinking re-programing, and rebleeding but it's looking really easy.

Sorry I spelled your name wrong "Chris"....
Good video. Thank you. You might add a link for some SS replacement bolts. And maybe some penetrating oil applied the day before surgery.

Have you had the codes checked? It could just be a bad level sensor.
yes that was it. My truck doesn't have the level sensor. Mine has the brake pressure warning switch, easy fix thank you for pointing me in the right direction
what type of silicon sealer did you use as well as what type of Sauter.
Saludos desde México magnífico vídeo muy bien explicado
Great job. Thank you for sharing
This doesn't open brake fluid system no bleeding required correct?

Do it anyhow. Just muddle your way through it (if you have the time).
This is helpful. Thanks Chris
probably going to try this in the next week or so

It's a good idea to scrape off the old thermal paste and apply new paste before putting the top back on.
Great video, I'm doing to try it, and hopefully it fixes it. Thank you
approximately where is that located under the Avalanche?
Under the drivers door side.
@@cdarnau thank you... about to remove mine tomorrow and see if it needs some solder touch ups
I presume that this problem was causing your brakes to run hot.
Holy crap, this worked!!! I've never even soldered anything.

PERFECT VIDEO!!!
No need for a bleed procedure? I called a local garage for a quote and they said a brake flush had to be done.
You don’t need to bleed it. You’re not breaking any lines loose. The only way you would need to bleed the system as if you break the lines loose.
