No new cement on the walls, no insulation & he left the windows without glass. What about the crawling/flying insects? It all looks great, very detailed, but the old was not changed, just covered up. 💕the geese, pups & kitty’s. Very talented guy! Love the look!
Grass instead of vegetables. No insulation, no glass in windows and no screens. I realize that this is in a poor rural environment but it would make sense to insulate from a climate and energy standpoint. Screens sure would help with biting insects and flies. He is putting nice finishing touches on a basic mud walled house.
Why didn't he repair anything? The corner beams, cracks in the mud walls etc? He just covered it all up to ignore and hide it all? Wouldn't it have made sense to do repairs as well? The cladding is a great idea for warmth in the winter. Love the bamboo yard house!! Great too that the animals are not tied up on short chains! They all look so happy and healthy!

It is good to have a rural house as we can always depend on our fertile land, from the bustling big city, from pandemics and if we ever become jobless. As we grow older we need a place to retire, nobody will hire us when we become old. It is good to invest one's money on rural house for future retirement.
I get concerned about toxic mold. It is a killer. All the bamboo gets mold on it, and I never see cement or tiled floors washed with a mop and mop bucket with strong soap for the floors. Yes, window and door screens would certainly help with flying insects, except in a bamboo house. Too many ways to get in. Then the mosquito net works better. Never would we just throw a little bit of water here and there and mop with a broom. That extreme humidity causes mold to grow easily. (I know because I lived on Guam in the Air Force.) People are starting to use stoves and plumbing, as well as washable tiles on the floors and walls. I'd like to see them modernize enough to make their homes safer against toxic mold. And stoves help cut down on fires.The bamboo and dried leaves burn up so fast! I also worry about wobbly toddlers walking right up to and sitting right next to a fire, usually with bare feet and legs.
My sister got too close to a campfire with bare feet. When her feet hurt, she fell and landed with her hand, which was healing from a dog bite right in a pot of boiling water. Luckily, we were camped by an icy River in the mountains and this one had a deep spot, so she ran and jumped into the icy water, so minimal damage. That is something I will never forget, as it could have been much worse. She is my accident prone sister, very careless. The other thing that bothers me are babies and toddlers walking around holding machetes. That really worries me.
Start with ceiling first then floor to avoid more cleanup. Can't clean with just one wipe of wet cloth. I am surprised they are not sick more. People before left tools and furniture. Why did they just move out. Too many animals. They can't feed themselves.
