@@MarkRobinson555 Although hot we have had some really calm evenings. I took my Anzani Longster down to my local park the other evening and had a wonderful flite. On landing one of the wheels came off stopping the model dead and pushed the battery straight through the front bulkhead. I must have built this model about seven years ago and flown it more than any other. Anyhow she is all repaired and ready to go again. All the fun of the hobby.
Hi Mark. It's a simple job,but an awful lot of modellers struggle to do it. If the engine manufacturer doesn't make an extension for their exhaust, then it becomes a task to make one. Lovely work. Thanks for the comments on the trainer with the paw 60. Yes it flew very well, and needed the PAW as it was covered in good old fashioned Nylon and dope!. Almost indestructible, but heavy. It didn’t seem to matter much, and flew very steady in quite a stiff breeze. The Merco and the PAW are both big chunks of metal, and brought the CG forward nicely. Cheers. John
Thanks John, pleased you like the video and I appreciate your comment. The next video which I will post in a couple of days is about setting up the tank and engine, hope it helps
Sorry for the hard work but the size of the muffler is really too small for the 61 engine. You will loose a lot of power. Don't ask me how I know, for the way to make a spacer super job BR
The muffler is a "PeakPower Muffler", which was designed and produced by Merco for the Merco 61 engine, so dont feel sorry, this is a good muffler for the engine! This is a great combination of engine and muffler.
Really nice job you have done Mark. Hand filing is not an easy task so well done. Necessity is the mother of invention. See you on the next video.
Thanks Terry, really appreciate the comment, hope you are enjoying the calm warm weather, great to be out flying 😀

A rotary hobby tool would have been very useful for making this spacer.😎
