Jimmy Evans is the founder and president of XO Marriage, a ministry that is devoted to helping couples thrive in strong and fulfilling marriages. After serving as senior pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo, Texas for 30 years, he now serves as apostolic elder. Jimmy has authored more than seventeen books. He and his wife Karen have been married for 48 years, and they have two married children and five grandchildren.

Had to listen twice...🔥🔥🔥
I'm 42 not learn those things important to being daughter or mother and this vedio made 2yrs ago I BLESS to have found in my time of need but not quite in time for my spifics but not toblate turn it around with the pod cast its been a perspective on what I grown up and through wish I could have seen sooner and glad i watched all the time and as many as I can even listen when I nap or bedtime thanks

Thank you so much for this podcast. I watched on UA-cam. Jimmy Evans is so enlightening and just right on with his honesty and wisdom! I don’t know when my husband honestly stopped wanting to be married or loving me but, in 2020 he said he just doesn’t know about marriage anymore and if he wants to stay married. he had been married four times before me and that should’ve been a red flag for me. But he wasn’t a Christian back then and became a Christian while meeting me. So we took it to God and I honestly thought it was OK to marry him. I was 49 and he was 56. I had previously divorced my first spouse because of pornography addiction he would not quit and other things that came along with it. I thought if I don’t have sex before marriage with my second husband, maybe God would actually bless it and we would be OK. Fast forward to 2023 on Good Friday of all days, my second husband told me, he just doesn’t love me anymore. I don’t know when he actually stopped but he wanted a divorce. Here I am in August 2024 and talking with a man that is on fire for God, but I honestly did not want a man in my life anymore. so I watched this to see if it was OK to get married again someday? My ex does not want to marry me and he’s already been dating women, in fact he couldn’t wait to get out there. He goes to our church and does all those things, but I stopped going to that church and went somewhere else. I couldn’t stand to see him there. Anyways this gentleman I have known from 36 years ago I never ever saw him as an option to date or anything, but we are just talking via text messages. He was on the worship team with me in San Diego. He lives in Arizona I live in Oklahoma so we are just talking and, it’s becoming pretty deep. No we haven’t said I love you to each other but we are really praying about this. Both of us. I was confused on wondering if I should wait for my second husband to realize he made a mistake or should I go on with this other gentleman.but you have totally cleared things up for me! I’m scared but I’m trusting God in this whole thing! Thank you again!

Read at least ffour of Jimmy Evans books, got marriage on the rock cd. Down to earth, great advice her gives. He doesn't just say oh a married couple should have agape love. He give practical down to earth instructions on how to go about it. Very wise man, trying so hard to get my daughter to read his books. If I knew his advice when I was young, I would have had a different outcome in my life.
Inspiring books, and it's not just a spiritual thing if you didn't believe in God, you could take his advice and it would work. But it's inspiration comes from the Bible. Enjoyed the interview thank you

Jimmy mentioned the scenario of abandonment and the verse referenced says “if the unbeliever leaves..”. What if the person who left is (or at least claims to be) a Christian? Is the abandoned person still free to re-marry?
