You explain so good! I can’t find any UA-camr that explains so well. Thank you so much! I liked and subscribed!!!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate you watching and subscribing.
Awesome video, Steve! If one were so inclined, (how) could you combine this concept with the Laser Cube/LaserOS?
Hey Jeff- good to hear from you! That's a great question. If you plugged the USB MIDI out from the Launchkey into the input of a USB Hub and then directed one output to the iPad, and a second to your computer running LaserOS, you could program the pads to trigger hot keys which could control patterns and effects in your LaserCube. In fact, I think it would make a good topic for a future video! Thanks for the idea and appreciate you watching!
@@LearnLizard Yes Steve! I (and I'm sure others) would love to see that video! Thank you for all the great lessons!
Hi Jeff- I'm not sure if you have seen this, but here is a way to use MIDI pads to trigger scenes with both DMX lights and a LaserCube: ua-cam.com/video/cXkpn6teBpY/v-deo.html
@@LearnLizard Yes Steve, this is awesome! Thank you. The ideal set up for me would to have a sequencer ;) control the lights and lasers along with music, but then also use a technique like this for spur of the moment changes.
Nice one steve. Keep those videos coming. 👌🏼
Thanks so much! Really appreciate your encouraging words (and 2 new ones in the works)
Nice! Appreciate the videos!
Thanks very much...and I appreciate you watching!
Hello, thanks for the video. I'm wondering how did you connect the iPad to the fixtures. How are you sending the DMX out signal from the iPad to them? Cheers!
That's a great question. The iPad is connected wirelessly to a router which is connected to an eDMX1 PRO Ethernet to DMX Controller: amzn.to/3hpgC0C
This video shows you how to get everything up and running:

Thanks for watching!
@@LearnLizard , thank you so much. Gonna check your other video soon. I'm in need for a solution where I can use a midi controller to change programs of my fixtures :)
@@HudTronn That's a great way to control DMX lights- check out this video if you get a chance for lots of ideas on MIDI control: ua-cam.com/video/cXkpn6teBpY/v-deo.html
Where is the BPM sync coming from? The music or midi clock?
Its the midi clock in AUM (120 bpm) The clips were output at that tempo.
Thanks for watching this one...
Can you teach me how to use a gobo light
Hi James- I will have a new video about a cool gobo light coming in January. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
You’re cute as a bug ❤️🥰
I’m speechless!!
@@LearnLizard I’m learning so much from you. I finally got artnet configured on my router so I can use my iPad. But oddly I can’t figure out Vibrio. Do you recommend a specific ipad app?
@@originalfallinggirl Vibrio is pretty easy once you get the hang of it but recently I’ve been using an app called StageLight. It works well and has a lot more MIDI capability (which is why I switched to it) There is also and app called Photon which is pretty easy to set up and use. Good luck and hope you find an app that works for you…
