A Duisenberg 500 note in beautiful condition costs 700-1100 euros. With an interesting plate number or letter before the serial number, which means for which country it was printed, it can cost more.

Also the paper quality is very different depends on country, plate and year. Some notes are thin, sometimes even with peeling edges, other made of thick paper with a nice texture. Even the colour of white is different. Some notes have pure white, other have greenish white on 100's, yellowish white on 200's etc.

The 500 bills are being retired from circulation. Unless you ask a specialised bank, it’s unlikely you’ll find some in the US

Interesting on that notes can vary from where it's printed. Slightly different colors and thickness
