Oh hello. I had many requests for a Pink Floyd tune. So we took a go at this one. James Beaton created the arrangement on piano. Tim Delaney, Derrick Ennis and I did the rest. Andrew Woodman shot the video. I edited it together.

Puddles this is complte crap i could barely watch 30 seconds of it. Please sing Estranged so i can tell you how you did it wrong too.
I see what you did there 😂
🥰 Love the sarcasm.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@donnaw3026I don’t understand what he means.
@SarahPesto They are trying to get Puddles's attention (it worked) with an back-handed "insult" so they can request he sing a specific song.
I would kill... with kindness... for a full album cover of the Puddles side of the moon.
He needs to do a collaboration with REN
I second BOTH of these emotions!!
Awesome idea. Over the past year I have been obsessed with both of them@@Vffhndsercchi
Oh fuck yeah!
The great gig in the sky with His voice :O
As a 70 year old Floyd fan from day one I love this.
As a 70 year old myself, I second the emotion. Soundtrack of my youth.
Me too!! Age and music
I'm in my 30's and grew up on my dad's music he loved Pink Floyd even I agree puddles does them justice, I'd love to hear how he does the dark side of the moon record.
Such emotion in Puddles. A brilliant take on Brain Damage.
Yet another septuagenarian here to agree with you, buzz. My oldest memories include listening endlessly to Echoes on my big brother's 8-track player, but then feeling a little confused with Atom Heart Mother.
Then came DSOTM! OMG!
Forever PFloyd.
I've been listening to Pink Floyd for 56 years. This is the best cover I've heard. Keep it up Puddles.
Yes, Go, Puddles. You do a really good job.
This.
Just what I was thinking. And great coves are rare. I mostly dislike covers, but this kept me watching and listening.
The irony of Puddles singing about lunatics is heartwarming. Thank you.
No as much as Crazy Train, but yeah.
It was not lost on me either.
I’m one of them and I appreciate this song so much! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm a lifelong fan of Pink Floyd, and this is one of the most existential interpretations of this existential Pink Floyd master piece I've ever experienced! Puddles has done it again!!!
Agreed! Long time Pink Floyd fan as well. Puddles makes some absolutely amazing covers. Been a PPP fan for some time now. What amazes me is that even though they are covers he manages to make them his. Always excited hear new stuff from Puddles.
Not taking anything away from the original from Waters/Gilmour version and perspective, the Puddles version feels more from Syd's perspective, the facial interpretations given by Puddles only adds to the original lyrics. Great song either way.
I really adore Floyd Puddles of the Moon. This was stupendous - thanks for such a respectful tribute. SO well done..the ending made me cry
I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked. This is the Floyd cover we never knew we needed.
Who are these guys?
@@elizabethmelville5804 kinda Walled off I think. (dad joke 9000!! :D)
The Clown is now a major Expert
Or, to be fair...the Floyd cover we knew we never needed.
because we didn't. It's interesting but the music is just no where near what PF provided.
Many artists try to sound like Pink Floyd. That is a wrong approach. If you have to make a cover, you must put your soul into it. Puddles, you did it again!
I feel the same about most people who do Tom Waits. There's Tom Waits, and then imitation Tom Waits. Puddles is one of the few exceptions to this.
Actually, I have seen surprisingly few artists have tried to cover Pink Floyd. For as popular and hot-selling as they were. Was always just an unspoken agreement. Mosquitoes don’t bite Chuck Norris, and people don’t cover Pink Floyd. Both out of sheer respect.
Every once in awhile you forget how good this guy is. And then there's this to remind you.
I never forget how great he is. ❤
i had gender issues too and this clown inspired me so much while i was pregnant i would never shave my armpit luv to all that went trough the same !!!
Thank you!
I'm almost 73 and .............. That was a fucking awesome rendition of Brain Damage !!! Great added psychedelic effects, as well. THANK YOU
If you're also into old Black Sabbath, you'll love Puddles cover of War Pigs!
I'm almost 67......and I fucking couldn't agree more!
I'm almost sixty four and I agree too!
I don't know about you, but once I hit peak on heroic doses of psychedelic mushrooms, music takes a backseat.
@@Shaman196- “Heroic Doses” 🎉
I'm 72 and the music of Pink Floyd has been my constant companion ever since I first saw them live when Syd was still with them. This is a wonderful interpretation of my favourite songs from DSOTM. Well done Puddles and your backing musicians.
i created an entire movie for their animation competition, I would love to hear what you think? 72 you are still a baby
Umagooma 😊
Hey me too!
Those were the best days of Pink Floyd.
I would love to hear Puddles do "Bike".
Very Few, VERY few have the balls to try this. And pull it off spectacularly. King Puddles. Long live the king!
@ucsncinc..Powerfully spoken..more power to ya..!!🐫🎸✨️
He’s spectacular! ❤
I can’t believe how it pulls the same feeling of the original.
So, I found this channel a week and a half ago, and here’s how I’ve spent that past week and a half:
1) Sees a cover of a song I know very well.
2) “There’s no way this is going to work,” I tell myself.
3) It works, sometimes pretty darn well and sometimes brilliantly.
4) “Okay. Mr. Puddles won that round, fair and square.”
5) Sees another cover of a song I know very well.
6) “Yeah, but there’s no way *this* one will work.”
Etc.
7) Rinse your tears and repeat
@@blankregistration7301 I'm obsessed with his version of Helena right now. Did NOT see that coming.
Give his version of War Pigs a try. Another one a clown definitely couldn't get right. Ever. Well, maybe just that once...@@chilehenge8142
What amazes me about Puddles is whatever he sings is not only wonderful but I can understand every word. ❤️
The articulation does it for me as well.
Pink Floyd is my all-time favorite band so I typically don't care for covers of their songs. That being said this is brilliantly done! You rocked it out Puddles!!! This is awesome!!! 🤘🏻
They were also my husband's favorite. When he passed his memorial video was set to Coming Back To Life. Geez, just mentioning it makes me cry.
@@LQOTW Sorry for your loss, sounds like a beautiful tribute though.
❤❤❤❤❤@@LQOTW
Coming Back To Life is, by far, one of the best.
@@rockchalkbroncos It was so uniquely him - even though it makes me cry it also breathes life into some of these memories. ❤🩹
I love Pink Floyd. You plainly know the art of the cover is not to copy but to make it your own. That was so powerful. You turned it into an absolute belter young man.
"Everything under the sun is in tune / but the sun is eclipsed by the moon" is probably the best closing verse of any album ever. It almost summarize the entire concept in just one verse. What an amazing piece of music
Many great phrases that are double entendres. Brilliant. I assume the song is about Syd.
Yes, but it can't beat The Beatles closing verse of "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make". Which is a far away more powerful and positive Album closer.
Another masterpiece. We love you Puddles!
Lost my father to brain cancer last year, he was a major Floyd fan and would have loved to listen to this cover, greatly enjoyed it myself. Thanks Puddles.
Lost mine to a stroke and he too was a Pink Floyd fan and would have loved this.
... completely different subject, but your picture is nostalgic.
@jamieklad3094:
My condolences to you for your loss. I'm pretty sure that your dad being as much a Pink Floyd fan as he was, would've loved Puddles' cover of this
Throat cancer 2021
Sorry for your loss 🙏
The lyrics of this song clearly sung by him and his makeup is a mix that really impressed me and it gave me shivers down my spine.
As Pink Floyd fan, I consider this cover one of the best I ever heard.
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart.
Here!! Here!! Could NOT agree more.
Idk why he's not a big star now. Everything he does is golden.✨️💖
"There's someone in my head and it's not me..." still my fav line
For me, it's "The paper holds their folded faces to the floor, and every day the paperboy brings more." . Ouch.
*but it's not me
"And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes..."
Let's be real. All of the lyrics are brilliant. The crazy thing is that those of us that are Floyd fans can probably sing along with the entire album, not realizing that we've memorized it subconciously decades ago.
Puddles is one of the most underrated talents in the music industry. Saw him in concert a few years back, and it was a great show.
Shit lucky you. He’s got an amazingly deep voice.

It’s absolutely dumbfounding when you find something this absolutely out of the blue! I mean, who the, what the, is Puddles. Why haven’t I ever heard of this amazing human. Humbled here!
Welcome to the Pity Party.
A great singer does a cover of a great song by a great group and hey presto makes it his own. Amazing! The absolutely correct mix of pathos, stoicism and the singers craft.
You've stated exactly what I was having difficulty formulating.
Vocal control like very few people ever manage. The feeling... Superb. Beyond genius.
The clarity and timbre of his voice reinvigorates the life back into so many lyrics. This is such a rush to an album that so many have been listening to since it's been out. Puddles has matched the craft that it is.
Sounds like at least 3 layers of his vocal track yes/no?

Amazing ! One of the great voices of our time.
No greater album has ever been written than The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, and I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you, kind sir.
you're not entirely wrong about that
The greatest album from the greatest band ever!
Schizophrenia shown in different colours. Hauntingly done. Puddles on top form as usual. 😊
Now a days all he sang about can happen and it doesn't have to be schizophrenia ! I absolutely cannot get over how insanely powerful eclipse sounds here, INSANE STUFF, SO GOODDDDD
Pink Floyd have been my favourite band since I was a teenager in the early 70's and this particular Floyd song happens to be one of their best and Puddles kills it!
The amazing thing about pink floyd is the music's ability to trancend generations - this was an amazing cover, you have done it great justice!!
Taking a little break from your grueling tour to toss us some silver. You're awesome, Puddles!
Personally, I thought it was a gold nugget. 😁
Incredible vocal, editing, lighting, facial expressions and musical arrangement; bravo! 👏 👏 👏
Puddles Pity Party is one of the most complet male voice - he can sing anything! Is a real singer!
Coming from someone whose favourite band is Pink Floyd, this has to be one of the best Floyd covers I have heard. Such a great singer, and the performance is so eerie and soothing at the same time. Gave me the shivers listening to it.
This and Nightwish doing High Hopes are Floyd covers (tributes really... they don't just parrot the originals, they make them their own without disrespecting them) that get it right.
You're my lunatic, Puddles. I love you. I love your work. Your songs make me cry in the good way all the time. Bless you and your art and work.
Liked and shared.
Godspeed.
I have no words to describe this. Puddles knocked this out of the park.
This is my favorite five minutes in the entire Floyd catalog. And I absolutely LOVE what you've done with it. Keep bringing us amazing music, my man.
Most of the younger fans here dont know the history of Pink Floyd and Sid Barrett. Those of us that do...do. great tribute track, Puddles. Well done.
The world needs you, now more than ever Puddles!❤✌
Call me crazy but I got some goosebumps. Puddles, you rock.
You are not crazy! I broke out and chill bumps and couldn't believe it. Can't fake that.
Crazy if you don't get chills. Puddles is sublime.
Hey Puddles. You take this and many other songs and give them NEW energy and your signature, one I personally couldn't have imagined yet here you are blowing my mind with your atmospheric tones and the depth of emotion you convey is a tour de force. There is no other clown that can do what you do, at least not on my playlist. Bravo!
As far as covers go, this is a Johnny Cash “Hurt” level of greatness.

Always a good day when you see that Puddles posted a new video!
Awe, I feel bad missing the premiere of this. Love Pink Floyd and I already love this cover.
Thank you for this great cover/ rendition of a great song we never knew we needed... until you listen to it and ask yourself. Where has this been all my life...
Puddles has a habit of doing covers that I don't think anyone could pull off and just shouldnot be done - I'm impressed every time - excellent arrangement, phrasing, and vocal.
Amen
Damn it's good to see you brother!
As always your arrangements are impeccable. I was curious how you were going to handle Eclipse, and it did not disappoint!
The whole band is amazing. Really compliments his incredible voice. Very heartfelt.
This is one of my all-time favorite covers of any band. You were amazing. Your vocals just capture me.
The arrangment was amazing. The collision of Floyd and Puddles is explosive. Remarkable Puddles!!!
Still love ya Puddles. Just been busy with....well the world at present. Love the Floyd!
This is beautiful! The song, the video, you! All of this is a chef's kiss! Please keep spreading your special sauce on the dry toast that is life!
You never fail to amaze me. Nailed it as usual … proof that the voice IS an instrument.
I've listened to this 30 times by now. My dad and I used to listen to Dark Side of the Moon driving around at night on his way to and from work. The extra sadness Puddles brings really hits his passing away hard.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my father too - to cancer in 2020 😭
Great arrangement
Going to see Puddles in The London Palladium very soon...a dream come true 💜🌻🦋
More power to you, Puddles. I commend your talent, your dedication, and your courage in trying different things and presenting them. I think many of us wish we had those same traits. Keep doing what you love.
So many chills right now. This cover is just so amazing and haunting and lovely.
Another amazing and inspiring cover from Puddles. Can't tell you how badly I needed something like this today.
I have to tell you my ex her father listen to you when you are on TV he loved your music, and if he ever knew that you did a Pink Floyd cover, he would’ve lost it and he passed away five years ago. She left about a year ago and I have to share this song with her. I hope it touches her as much as it touched me. It’s amazing don’t stop please.
Man as someone that has listened to Pink Floyd for over 40 years this was a stunner.
I had to listen to it several times to really take it in. When you've heard a song literally hundreds of times my initial take was very mixed.
But you carry so much resonance and vocal articulation that after adjusting what I expect from this song, and your complete original take on it, I love it.
I'm one of the lucky ones that got to see Floyd live in concert in the 80's, so this was very nostalgic as well.
I am really impressed and love what you did, how you took such a classic song, and really made it your own production.
Just absolutely fantastic. Thank you.
Having seen them in the 80's as well, I don't think they did Brain Damage/Eclipse on that tour. The '94 tour saw them playing it several times.
You put it perfectly, from one long time fan to another
One of my favorite tunes, smashed out of the park. Stunning rendition Puddles. Thank you. Chills just like when I listen to the original. That says a lot. Thoroughly Amazing!
So great to have you back putting out a new song! Me and my kid are stoked
Fantastic!! I was lucky enough to be brought on stage and sing with Puddles in 2016 in NYC, thank you and will see you soon!
Good Job Puddles. Your use of facial expressions to accentuate the lyrics and to add your own commentary is delightful.
Dude, you never cease to amaze. Thank you so much for being kind enough to share your gifts with us.
The best Covers are those that create something new out of the originals. Puddle does this every time in almost any genre. Love him for that.
I generally dislike covers...but here I am, loving every single one of his.
Your inflections on the tails of each line of Eclipse were incredible. Gorgeous.
I forgot to click how much I liked all these videos, so just add me on each one. Puddles is a voice. What a voice.
"...There is no dark side of the moon, really...matter of fact, it's all dark..."
- Roger Waters, 1973
Beautiful, Puddles. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
It's not a quote from Waters... And neither it's from 1973...
@@garryiglesias4074 I had the year right. And why are UA-camrs so damn picky? You can barely hear that at the end of the album anyway.
@@ernestcruz6316Nope, the album went OUT in early 1973, it was first played live at least 1 year before, and the recordings (Waters did) were interviews probably in 1972...
And no, I'm not talking as a UA-camr here: first I don't produce video, so I'm NOT a UA-camr anyway, THEN Pink Floyd and Dark Side Of The Moon, is, to me the best album in Space Time... So I act as a DSOTM "fanboy". Plus I might be a little autistic, love math and code so words have a strong meaning to me, and I'm obsessed with "exactitude"...
But Cheers, I'm not angry or whatever, and we share appreciation of good music. Sorry just being myself :).
@@garryiglesias4074 That was what I was referring to, the release date. I love Dark Side too. And Puddles is phenomenal, and his version is exceptional even for him.
@@ernestcruz6316 I think it's the first time I see his work, or maybe once years ago, can't remember. Yes this is one of the good covers of the Floyd.
Usually I have "mimics" covers, and often, people covering PF "for real", I don't like that. One I love too is "The Dub Side Of The Moon" from Easy All Stars... Because it's a clear and respectful homage, while being creative and changing the style. With this strange feeling from a perfect mix between "fidelity" and "new".
Of course, covering PF at a party with friends is more than acceptable, it's a request ! :).
This dude can SING MAN!!!! DAAAAMN THAT WAS AN AMAZING COVER!!!!
just stumbled across Mr. Puddles, and I'm an instant fan. Great work, your voice (and appearance) are perfect. I'll have to binge the rest of your work.
Thank you, whoever you are. Ive worked in an old psychiatric hospital for the last 7 years of my life. Come to a point where I’ve realized this is my calling, after so many years it feels like I’ve lost the deep meaningful connection with the people who I hold dear & everything I considered normal. I hope theres some peace in this madness we call life. You certainly make it feel like there is. I used to listen to this song years ago in the wee hours of the morning while sitting on constant observation with our sui***al patient’s. Shame you still have to censor that word. Hopefully one day the world grows up & allows an open dialogue. Thank you for bringing new life to this track. Cuts deep in the best way possible.
