Yep, I worked up north and out of the 10 person crew 4 were new immigrants. Their parents had money and can pay these high prices. These immigrants with money are displacing Canadian born younger generations that are starting with nothing.
I have heard pollieve talk about immigration. I believe he said if there are sponsors,housing and jobs for them they can come to Canada. He talks about how we used have the best immigration programs in the world. Other countries wanted to know how Canada was doing it

Yes it takes time to build a home and we are 3.5 million homes short now and in 2025 it is expected to be 5.7 million behind. There isn't alot that can be done quickly. But we can do better then we are doing right now.

Southern Vancouver Island is turning into one giant apartment building or mass high density housing. Every year another forest is cut down, then the mountain is blasted down and high density housing goes in or another single family neighbourhood full of small homes is levelled for high rise apartment buildings. Not only ugly but the infrastructure and social programs can't keep up
i am so happy to live in the country. there is such a divide between city dwellers (woke people) and country dwellers, common sense people. sad!!!!

Actually Poilievre may not bring up immigration in Parliament but he has made it clear when speaking to the public and reporters that he plans to completely lock immigration other than true refugee status... if I'm remembering right I think he mentioned limiting students as well.

How will PP fix housing? He will do what every conservative government does and that is cut regulations give tax breaks and incentive programs and the rest is up to the private sector. He has already said that immigration will match housing.

Hey, wanted to chime in on this. I am not trying to defend Pierre polievre here.. although I do like his policies best but I noticed that when he mentioned housing and immigration he said he was going to tie the immigrants coming in to housing. What I took this to mean, and because as Trudeau says “Words Matter” that we are going to house those homeless so I naturally assume a pause on immigration until housing can be built. He even mentioned universities need so much available housing which determines how many student visas even. I find with Pierre he is honest about what he will do but his delivery of it is subtle. Just my opinion..

Exactly! I've heard him talk about it several times. This guy is not informed enough to give his opinion. This really pisses me off.
@@CCisRight Yeah. So many of the commentators(not just this channel) are closer to reaction channels, rather than actual commentary channels. To be a commentary channel, you have to spend extra time educating yourself about the parties. We have a few actually good commentary channels, but it's a lot of reaction channels.
Question Period isn't "Announce And Discuss Your Campaign Platform" Period. Well, not completely. It's mostly used to show the places where the current government is failing, and that the Opposition will do a better job.
The fact is that Pierre has talked about linking immigration to a formula connected to housing and jobs, is what he's said every time. And considering he's an economist, that makes sense.
But unless there's an announcement from one of the banks, Bank of Canada, insurance company, etc, Pierre's not just going to start ranting about the immigration problem. It's called "Time And A Place", which unlike the PPC, the Conservatives actually understand how to do it.
Which is why the Conservatives have been regaining so many of the PPC voters.
